Congrats to Dave Gettleman
Almost every Reese player is now off the roster.
It’s taken a few years but Goal #1 - the exorcism of Jerry Reese and Marc Ross - is nearly complete.
Who’s left? Engram and Shepherd?
What an achievement

The misses and mistakes from both Gettleman's and Reese's tenure are evident and it's very easy to get down right now as our better players sign elsewhere and and we sign guys deemed inferior.
But this feeling can change in hurry and I'm looking forward to it.

Current offseason: Wayne Gallman Dalvin Tomlinson Previous: JPP Devon Kennard Romeo Okwara Ross Cockrell (he was a FA or trade so maybe not a Reese guy in the purest sense..but a solid veteran corner who was on the roster) And I might even say Weston Richburg When I look at who was brought in to replace these players in 2018 I see no improvements. Centre seems to have turned out ok with Nick Gates. But he wasn’t the “solution” in 2018. Richburg was a starting centre for the 13-3 2019 49ers that had the leagues 2nd ranked offence.

I can't honestly say I don't miss any of those guys and none of them made any difference to the team's fortunes obviously nor the teams they went to, but it's cool Opinions vary, that's what makes it interesting.

He holds the ultimate mic drop: 2 Lombardis.

Reese gave us two Super Bowls...he's earned that respect.
He also completely failed to build upon those successes...he's earned that derision.
Overall, he'll be remembered as a really good GM who squandered what should've been a much longer championship window.

I think the squandering was a collective effort by him, Coughlin, Mara and the rest of the Giants brain trust at the time. I don’t put it on him at all. He was probably the most competent guy out of the bunch...well, him and Coughlin. But Coughlin had more warts in my view.

Too much anger festering here for what has been a very good off season for the Giants.
Smile, relax, it is all good.....until proven otherwise. Let's enjoy it and let go of things that don't matter going forward

The front office and coaching staff has a lot to prove. They haven't done anything yet.....except spend a crap load of money this off season.
But, I am optimistic for 2021.

Yes but there is plenty of time for angst....we've had too many lessons in that for a decade so for now....it's all good. I am not turning naive, just trying to be optimistic when the evidence of failure is not yet overwhelming. I can fuss with the best of them but not 12 months a year. I need my optimistic pause from February to September. Join me or at least let's see what the draft brings us.

But they still have to prove it. Dave has been dreadful, which is why we had to spend all that money this off season.
Thank God Joe is here, but he has too prove it as well.

It feels different but I can't argue on this point. It has been so painfully long, they don't deserve any slack from us until they prove it on the field. No hall passes for these guys.
