Lots of moneys. Might as well load up on talent, see what Jones can actually do.
Happy its done though.

Wanted less, but he's here we got a number one reciever.. This doesn't hurt the team or cap going forward. Jones has some help.

Wow that's A LOT of money. Must be really backloaded. Hopefully the G isn't too much.

Well
If we had taken AJ Brown instead of Baker we would have our number 1 on a rookie deal with 2 years chemistry with Jones...
Thus this kind of expenditure
We hopefully are now a relevant NFL offense again

I wonder if we just changed our thoughts in the draft. I'd still go WR if one of the big 3 are there

Very curious how the draft plays out. I assume one of the 3 big WR’s, one of 3 CB’s, Pitts, Parsons, or Slater will be there. Which one do they take? We still need edge but I don’t think there is anyone worth taking that high. Slater is much needed unfortunately, I don’t trust this O lone worth a damn the way it is now and without an O line the WR’s or Barkley or Jones won’t mean jack.
Expect Gettleman to “fix the O line once and for all” for the 4th year in a row.

This has been a good FA.. imo Do you still like the deal? I remember you saying that you wouldn't go over $17 million for him. He's getting $18 million per year and with incentives that number could go up to $19 million.

I know I'm in the minority but I like the pass rusher from Miami, Rousseau too.

I'm not a gm, its not my money so it doesn't matter what I wanted.. just glad its done.. they're a better team for it.

I'd still go WR if one of the big 3 are there It's not off the board However we aren't in panic mode now hoping one falls to us I'd prefer Slater.. Waddle now is really a guy that makes sense to eventually replace Shepard in 2021(get a pure dynamic speed playmaker type anyway to do this)

That’s a lot of money. Makes you wonder, what took so long when two teams only offered 1 year deals? It’s evident we were the only franchise that was willing to give him a multi year deal.
What do I think of the contract? No complaints, if we want to get better. We have to sometimes pay more than we want too. This by no means should change our draft strategy. We can still grab another receiver, go offensive line, or BPA. I like to have options, if we didn’t land Golladay we would of had to go with receiver in the 1st.
As for the injury concerns. This is the NFL, guys get hurt, and they miss time. I’m not overly concerned with his injury last year. And the rumor he choose not to play last year. It’s the Detroit Lions, a franchise that is known to suck the life out of their players.
Overall, we got our receiver we have so desperately been looking for. We didn’t bargain shop or dumpster dive for this one. We sought him out, we paid him, now it’s time to rock n roll..

But he liked the Giants and the coaching staff, as per Ian Rapoport says.

It's a lot of money. That's nearly $40m on 2 players average. If he's as advertised and can stay *healthy*, then it's money well spent. If not, then we're probably looking at a big cap hit for the next couple of seasons.

Another outstanding free agency period by Dave Gettleman. And the front office, we want to give everyone credit here.
