There are a good amount of large Power/Gap type of Olineman in this draft. Giants seem to prefer athletic, pulling, zone type of Lineman. This could tilt how they view these lineman. I could be wrong though.
Also I question if the DG would look to spend #11 pick cap on a G instead of an edge. May prefer to spend 2nd &/or 3rd rd cap on the position.
But no matter what needs to be done. The Oline needs to be solidified.

If any one of the top 7 I listed is there for our pick in the 2nd, we would do very well for ourselves. I think at least one of them will be there, which is why I am not keen on spending a high 1st for a guard. At the same time, I wouldn't complain if they did, I never complain about spending picks on OL. The OL is one position group where you can never have enough talent or take enough shots in the draft. Especially in this day and age, not lot of talent league wide agreed Positional Value IMO goes QB OL DL CB ER LB WR S RB TE

Mind you.....two of our key offensive players were RB and TE.....and people wonder why the Giants struggle to win. Priorities people.

I agree with online but I think this draft is too deep at the position to draft that high. Sewell hell yes. It will be hard for them to pass on pitts or one of the top wideouts.

With the likes of smith, Jones, and philips you get the same potential without the high bust risk with a top pick. We can’t reach for need.

I worry slightly less with this coaching staff regarding the OL. I have confidence in them from what I saw last year. There was major improvement.
One thing I noticed last season (the last 8 games) is that Garrett abandoned the run far too often when it was working. They would be imposing their will in the running game and Garrett would start calling his vanilla pass play. When he stuck to the run the line also pass blocked more effectively and they actually moved the ball.
What I would like to see this season is sticking to the run when it's working. They need to make sure their play calling is more balanced and they also need to work on implementing new and creative ways to get the receivers open. We saw glimpses of that here and there but it needs to happen more often.
So personally I'm fine with whatever they pick at 11. I would prefer OL or WR but I'm indifferent when it comes to which position they draft in the 1st. I trust they'll make it work

Target Payton Turner & Dayo Obeyingbo, or Joe Tyron in those ranges. Use the lower first and the extra pick(s) obtained through trade to net 2 Olineman within the first 3 rds. So all in all. Trade down obtain 4/5 picks within the first 3 rds. Then target 2 Olineman & 2 Pass Rushers with those picks.

I like Davis, Jenkins, and Humphrey, but Slater is better than all of them I disagree, though you can shuffle 3-6 anyway you want as I think they are all about equal, that is my preferred order though. 1 and 2 are interchangable as well. So better way to list it 1-Vera-Tucker-G 1-Sewell-G 3-Davis-G 3-Jenkins-T 3-Humphrey-C 3-Slater-G 7-Radunz-T 8-Carman-T/G 8-Dickerson-C/G 10-Myers-C 10-Darrisaw-T WOW Why so low on Darrisaw

My needs for this team right now:
#1 G #2 NT #3 OLB/DE #4 OT #5 WR
Last year we drafted 3 OLinemen, Thomas at 4, Peart in the 3rd and Lemieux in the 5th.
Im not sure they will share your same idea and go heavy on the OL in the draft. I do see them taking 1 though at some point.
I think we are focusing in on defense with 11. NT/OLB/DE

Big Dex has the size to hold down the NT spot. I doubt that we go NT, OLB, or DE at 11. The ONLY defensive player I could POSSIBLY see us looking at is Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah from Notre Dame, who is like Parsons without the character issues

I was hoping he would have changed but based on last year it’s more of the same. Hopefully with Barkley back and Golladay he will get more creative and open things up but I’m not getting my hopes up...I’ve watched almost every Cowgirls game for decades now.

In Dallas Garret was the HC and called the shots. Here he needs to run the offens Judge wants to see.

Now Im thinking, what if we move Dex to the middle and draft a pass rushing 3T to bookend with LW, someone like Nixon or Tufele, both of which have very similar styles to LW. Im not sure what id rather do, Dex has looked good at DE, but he's got the perfect size to control the middle

Just like OL the sweet spot for the position is late 1st high 2nd. I'd love to trade down a few spots to pick up another high 2nd in this draft, there are good players that will be in the 25-50 range at ER, OG, OC, OT, LB, WR and RB. Get a few picks in there and you can set yourself up well at those positions.

I just like the other players more. Some really great interior line talent in this draft IMO. Tackles are light at the top of the draft. If you notice I only have Jenkins and Radunz above him at tackle right now. Carman too, but I think he fits best at G. Good tackle, will crush it at guard. #3 tackle ain't low doncha know.

The missing piece in the Giants offense is a dynamic, explosive, route-running YAC Home-Run receiver.

He's played some 1 or 0 in college no? BJ Hill doesn't really fit the prototype. His play strength isn't that great. He's got loose hips and has pass rush ability in spades though. I think his pass rush skillset is underrated. Dex did play NT on occasion but he wasn't able to play it half as well as Dalvin. Dalvin was a rock that never got moved back. A true 2-gapper. Dex has a 2 gap body but I would argue more of a 1 gap skill set With that said, Johnson's not a bad NT. I think we can get by well enough with him taking up 2 blockers in the run game, we can't replace Dalvin unless we draft a NT

I also great confidence in Graham to use what he has. I mean you cant really hid the NT position game in and game out but you can scheme around it to a degree. Hopefully Johnson can get it done efficiently enough and if he has bookends playing very well that will certainly help his game

Not to mention, we can find a great NT in the third round if we want to go that route, plenty of good options in the draft. We basically exchanged Dalvin for Adoree Jackson in FA. Im 100% in favour of that as much as I loved Dalvin.
