Carter showed better ability before he got hurt. I like X better as well. A lot of these guys will benefit from a 'sticky' secondary. They will produce I think EDGE is the biggest need. But Fack is just a guy Just a versatile guy. A player doesn't need to be great to have a positive impact. He is a good guy to have behind your starters because he can play both inside and outside, play the run, cover and rush the passer. I'd rather have Fackrell than Ragland and Downs. We're going to have to find his clone at a lower price.......not impossible but a tall order.

I couldn't agree more and I don't understand why fans would rather hope for Carter to recover or for Xman to actually play over what Frackrell brings to the field.. Still feel a good pass rushing edge player is needed for this team in a big way. Maybe next season..

If a fan's point of view seems so cut and dried then there is more to the story we dont know. Fackrell is yet another player that is not make or break for a team that is supposed be taking a turn for the better. On a 6-10 team he shined. On a team that wants to be a division winner he is just a good depth LB to have. replaceable for sure.

The missing piece in the Giants offense is a dynamic, explosive, route-running YAC Home-Run receiver. I like Waddle, he's a fighter. I don't think we can make a bad decision here. I would love to trade back say with N.E. at #15 and hopefully get an extra 2nd and 3rd this year and another 2nd next year.

I would be happy with the 2nd and 3rd this year and I don't remember the value metrics they use for these draft trade but another 2nd sounds like a lot for a move at this spot.. Mariotta could end up in NE so they might not need to move for a QB this season.. Where are the Saints with their QB options since they might also be a trade willing partner..

This latest mock from the mock draft thread I did 11: R1 P11 OT Rashawn Slater - Northwestern He will be my pick if here until further notice.. If there was another consideration Smith was also there 42: R2 P10 DL Daviyon Nixon - Iowa My favorite inside D lineman I think..if no trades and Zevon Collins is gone, with the signing of Golladay this pick is now a no brainer 76: R3 P12 WR Dyami Brown - North Carolina Just missed Eskridge,a lot of nice speed type guys that can be moved all around Eventually replaces Shepard kinda 116: R4 P11 CB Eric Stokes - Georgia Wasn't looking for a corner at all here..but by the time my pick came up there was a glut of secondary players massed here,Stokes was 25 spots higher on my big board so why not 196: R6 P12 OT Cole Van Lanen - Wisconsin O line depth 201: R6 P17 RB Kylin Hill - Mississippi State Perfect complement to Barkley WOW ! Talk about a depth look for our draft. Kudos to you GL. Top 3 picks OL, DL, and WR checks the boxes of positions needing to be strengthened. I do like it. I guess you feel there is no way we can afford to use a top pick on pass rush. It's really only major weak spot we would have imo if your draft comes to fruition. Believe me I have no idea what to do.

I think Carter is our best Edge Guy . The injury came at a bad time but I hope he picks up where he left off. I also think we will see a lot of Coughlin Carter and Cam Brown on 3rd and long packages also. I like Cam Brown if he can gain some weight and keep his speed in coverage he could get more starting time. Carter could very well be cut if his injury doesn't heal quicker than most who have had it.. Just ask Connelly how this group deals with "yet to prove themselves" players after they are injured.. True, I liked Connelly he had a nose for the ball. I still think they were trying to sneak him onto the PS.

And Nixon is a perfect replacement for Tomlinson with what looks like more pass rush potential

It would be very hard to pass up a guy like waddle if he's there, but for me.. I want another hog molly give me Vera-Tucker assuming sewell doesn't drop. whcih he wont... I don't know what depth really looks like in this draft for olineman. If there's not much disparity, I would not mind going offensive weapon then ol in the 2nd rd.. I just don't want a repeat of what manning had when he had obj, barkly, shep engram etc a good fn offense that couldn't do shit bc of a shitty oline. WE NEED HOG MOLLIES STILL. They are gonna go hog wild i think on OL and Pass Rusher. after just losing Fackrell in FA I think we will go after a pass rusher in this coming draft...

I worry slightly less with this coaching staff regarding the OL. I have confidence in them from what I saw last year. There was major improvement. One thing I noticed last season (the last 8 games) is that Garrett abandoned the run far too often when it was working. They would be imposing their will in the running game and Garrett would start calling his vanilla pass play. When he stuck to the run the line also pass blocked more effectively and they actually moved the ball. What I would like to see this season is sticking to the run when it's working. They need to make sure their play calling is more balanced and they also need to work on implementing new and creative ways to get the receivers open. We saw glimpses of that here and there but it needs to happen more often. So personally I'm fine with whatever they pick at 11. I would prefer OL or WR but I'm indifferent when it comes to which position they draft in the 1st. I trust they'll make it work Even though technically Garrett wasn’t calling the plays, that “strategy” (abandoning the run, vanilla offensive scheme, no motion, etc) was what he was known and hated for in Dallas. I was hoping he would have changed but based on last year it’s more of the same. Hopefully with Barkley back and Golladay he will get more creative and open things up but I’m not getting my hopes up...I’ve watched almost every Cowgirls game for decades now. Garrett will run the offense the way Judge tells him to run it...

Assuming last year he was a product of a bad team. Not too many younger OLs out there. I am sure they will draft 2 or 3

I don’t see how a rookie OT who will have missed 20 months of football by training camp is the best use of resources. I could see a Guard take later for depth. I don’t see the need for another Tackle. I don't trust any players who opted out of 2020. Solder and Beal included. If you love to compete you play. If it's about living off your last season (college, aka Chase), or chilling and collecting a check for a year (Beal NFL) then I don't want you on the squad. I understand Solders reason for not playing last season but taking a season off at his age is a little confusing, sometimes players at his age just don't get back to where they were and Solder wasn't exactly having a good season before the layoff...

If they believe in one at 11 or trade down a few slots where many are slotted in at sure, they see these kids more then us I believe they can get a day 1 starter at Guard or Tackle in the second round as far as OL goes if they go that route, I would go the stud OL in round 1 but I won't argue about Gettlemen and Judge taking a pass rusher in RD1

I would never put my family at risk for anything or anyone.
