Happy birthday to the best running back in Giants history. The man owns just about every record for a running back on this team and his last 3 years in the league were historic. Tiki was awesome and one of my favorite Giants players!

Tiki was awesome and one of my favorite Giants players! Unfortunately for him he has the same birthday as my ex wife. And she's evil.
But happy birthday anyway Tiki.

Not one reply or like. Truly pathetic.. I for one remember Tiki the player, and he was a great player. It was Tiki who saved our ‘06 season, and Tom Coughlins job. He was there when Wellington passed away, his name will be in the rafters with the other great Giants as long as the stadium stands.
Happy birthday Tiki. Best running back in franchise history..
Edit: Good to see someone post in here.

I actually like Tiki and a lot of the heat for criticizing Coughlin's coaching style and Eli, something the majority of us did. Remember, both Coughlin and Eli were on the chopping block until the epic Super Bowl run.
Tiki is by far the greatest running back in Giants history and it's not even close...
Happy Birthday to a Giants great that has been turned into the red headed step child for something the majority of us fans did...It's crazy how so many people are hypocrites out there....

Tiki can be smug, blunt and (at times) full of shit. But we all have our negatives. And Tiki was absolutely phenomenal as a player. The guy just glided when he ran. So smooth. Defenders used to just slip right off him. Those 3 seasons were absolutely hall of fame caliber performances.
I always think of him positively because of his contributions as a player. I would not be one of those fans booing him. I'd bet money that many of them were probably the types saying Andy Dalton and Joe Flacco were better QBs than Eli back in 2012 lol.

I remember the days prior to ‘07 when fans thought Eli was adopted, and that he was considered a “terrible leader.” And Coughlin was an over the hill coach who treated his players like privates. Our very own Strahan has come out publicly that he hated Tom Coughlin. Now, he’s the only coach he would ever play for. Go figure..

Thanks for posting this and I probably respect his analysis on sports topics more than anyone else out there. Highly intelligent AND an incredible athlete. That’ll often create a lot of envy..

Can there still really be adult Giants fans but hurt about Tiki Barber?
Great Giant, great player.
If you want an example of a complete RB he is it.

I hope Barkley can produce some Tiki level production in 2021. If he is, the Giants are headed for a good year....

I used to argue with folks Tiki was as good as Marshall Faulk back on the old, old MB. When he had that 2-3 year stretch, Tiki's numbers were always right on the heels of Faulk's and didn't have the talent around him.
That said, I couldn't care less about him now. The way he threw the team under the bus to try and boost his media career was a joke. He may have been the better talent, but I'd take Jacobs and Bradshaw any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Winning the SB the year after Tiki retired is irony it's finest.

As we have seen it isnt easy to fill Tikis shoes. what about him playing for basically peanuts and never holding out? Why not credit for that?

Not for nothing, but Tiki's shoes were filled with two Lombardi trophies. He hasn't been tough to replace. That said, he was a great player and underrated by most non-Giants fans. As mentioned, I used to argue he was better than Faulk. I just have no time for him after he took the first opportunity presented to bash his former team.

The Tiki thing kinda shows how much people dislike honesty in this country. I say this because everything he said was parroted by fans and media alike before Tiki ever expressed it. I remember people on this board were calling Eli a poor leader right up until he was benched for Jones lol. Then people get all high and mighty when a teammate expresses the same opinion on TV lol?? At this point I just don't get the prolonger outrage. It was distasteful but at this point it's water under the bridge.
I'm just speaking generally by the way, not picking on anyone in particular on here. I don't pay close enough attention to remember all of that lol.

Tiki retired to start what he felt would be an outstanding media career. Many us felt that he was attention seeking with his comments and his career never really took off. He was a truly great running back.

I guess we have been missing Tiki since flip Wilson but what was that 7+ Years after Tikis retirement? I miss LT right now I guess....

Tiki was the best RB this team has had by far. He had a window that could have been the best 5 year stretch for any RB in NFL history.

Yes and he did it when he was “old” Added weight and strength late in his career and became a top player in the league. Can’t think of another RB doing something like that. Changed his play style and everything. Timing was just off for him. Put in max effort towards the end and got caught with a coach on the hot seat and a young QB still developing and got disillusioned.

She was told to stay in bed during her pregnancy. He was doing his thing lol with the intern, all I remember is him talking about his father not being part of his life and he was never gonna be like that with how much he loved his college sweet heart think it was Ginny or Jenny or something lol he's the one who put the moral bullseye on his own back. Other than that great player great Giant happy birthday Tiki enjoy.

I Remember them turning Ray Lewis and the Raven into minced meat think in 2008 I mean Jacobs made tire tracks on Ray Lewis face they ran on them for like 260. The difference was is these guys were football and team first. Tiki said he was an outsider in his own locker room he had other interests. Imagine if he took as serious for his whole career as he did for the last 5 years football was the 9 to 5 for him he gave it his all and the last 5 years was a result of him feeling he was getting older and needed to step up the training.
