Kayvon Thib0deaux Thank you Bears, Eagles and Cowboys. And we have firepower to move up possibly if cloze Absolutely. Looking at the draft next year it looks to be VERY strong on the edge. We should be able to land a good edge, if we still need one. I do wonder what our #1 need will be next year.

Versatile right guard and OL depth, possible left guard...same as it was this year Right now we don't know. What if the issue with Hernandez was coaching and he plays like a beast this year? What if PFF got Lemieux wrong and he's a stud? Lots of what ifs of course but it's not like it's never happened before. This year I think our #1 need was WR and it wasn't even close. We addressed that before the draft though. Any starters going to be free agents next year?

Let's hope that Ojulari goes a long way to making that another luxury for us. That is the thing with this year. We either have solid starters or guys young and filled with potential in pretty much every spot. It's kind of a waiting game to see if someone fails. There is no certainty. We could have 5 holes or we could have none (I can dream it's only May).

fanspeak.com/ontheclock-nfl-mock-draft-simulator/index.phpPlease combine with the PFF if inclined - I don't use PFF as they grade college players which I find difficult to do regarding conferences To avoid the same arguments I see upstairs, the we need OL, we don't need OL (one poster and literally 6 million posts of we don't - try a new thought bro)...oh and the who runs the Giants, GM or Judge...I'd like to avoid those debate team snoozefests that go on forever, and look forward the the promising Giant season, and of course, some college ball and the prospects. The Gettleman draft was even more brilliant as you begin to see what next year entails. Not only a full year of actual ball...but the talent pool is loaded. Or is it the Judge draft. Who the f&%k cares? Alabama is of course the 1 team heading into the season, but Iowa State and the Sooners could be cracking the playoffs....while Ohio State and Clemson have glaring weakness...QB and OL respectively. Georgia has the best shot at beating Alabama in the SEC, but thin on CB...not something you ever want to be thin at against the Crimson Tide. Aggies also have some legit NFL talent. 7: R1 P7 OT Evan Neal - Alabama
6'7 and 360 pounds of earth shattering flesh, who is considered the best of the talented wall of Alabama...slower feet than you might want, but pro bowl guard or Becton sized tackle. You watched him last year, or did you? He was one of those guys making it easy for the yay, TD to Smith happen. In 810 snaps as a freshman and sophomore playing both guard and tackle, he only missed 6 assignments and a grand total of 1.5 sacks. That is beastly. Want to add, this is as deep a draft at OL as last year....and could be the reason we await the Peart experiment. This Neal kid could be playing himself into OT1...can also play guard. 12: R1 P12 WR George Pickens - GeorgiaAs we know, Pickens tore his ACL. But he has a November date of being recovered, rest of senior year to prove he's the best WR in the country. Tall, fast and great hands. Scouts will be watching this potential WR1 closely. Remember, Chris Olave will be available this year. If you liked Jefferson and his route running, you will want this guy catching balls for you. Silky sly. 39: R2 P7 WR Justyn Ross - Clemson
Another larger receiver - with skills. Early in this process, and his injuries are a concern. Still, a 6'4 inch slot receiver is intriguing, and this top rated WR will be letting us all know he's recovered, and if he is worth a top round pick. Does drop the ball on occasion. 71: R3 P7 EDGE Nik Bonitto - OklahomaWe should have our 3-4 OLB set with Azeez Ojulari. I do not believe we will be drafting high enough for Kayvon Thibodeaux. However, this is a rather deep class for linebackers and with that comes, the 3-4 pass rush variety. As said, if Ojulari's knee holds up, the talent and scheme fit on the Giants should make for an exciting front 7. Nik is a supreme pass rusher, and unlike this years class, he should be an easy top half of round 1 pass rusher.....and a perfect fit for the Giants. Keep an eye out for Oklahoma this year, and when you watch...keep an eye out for Nik. 85: R3 P21 DL Tyler Davis - Clemson
Clemson has lost a lot on their OL...but their DL? Finally maturing and always considered DTU...and this could be the best DT entering the draft if he plays as expected. Love the draft years with these prospects. He was lights out as a freshman, and had a injured sophomore year... 109: R4 P7 TE Charlie Kolar - Iowa State
Yes, Kolar is back. A decent blocker with probably the best hands you will see on a tight end. Not athletic, but if his hands get on the ball, he catches it. Jeremy Ruckert, the Long Island kid ....playing on Ohio State? This is his year too. We will be needing a tight end next year FWIW. 114: R4 P12 LB Brandon Smith - Penn State
In keeping the defensive scheme on target, I am looking towards Brandon Smith college year. If he excels, he shoots up the boards...non productive and he slides. Has a ton of athleticism I noticed while watching the other Lion studs. Just think, we have a 5, 6 and 7 pick as well. We will not be getting any compensatory picks next year. Giants are No. 5 in overall draft capital for 2022 according to Tankathon. Here's a question for all the Barkley lovers. Barkley comes back and plays well...as well as his rookie season (which means we are losing cause we are not spreading the ball around)...but he plays Barkley like. IOW, awesome. Do you believe the Colts who might need a running back touched by the hand of God, a sure green jacket running back...would EVER consider a trade of Quenton Nelson straight up for Barkley? I didn't think so. Guards at pick 2 are fine...if they are generational talents not seen possibly ever in the NFL.

I love Olave but there are some absolute OL and Edge beasts in this draft...and that Jefferson kid who was locking down top SEC receivers as a 18 year old...stumbled a bit last year as did all of LSU...expect him to shine and be CB1. We'll have some climb and drop as the season unfolds...but always nice to know the NFL talent that is potential draft eligible as the close spread games start on Saturday. Hell, if we did not do enough for the OL, and I'm not sure we have...we might sadly be looking for a QB as we pick top 5-10 again.

Strictly went BPA
If the team blows up in a good way check out this haul
7: R1 P7 DL Drake Jackson - USC
Nothing like on paper having few holes and being able to take a nasty D lineman, which if think about it,Johnson,Shelton and Hill are UDFAs next offseason
12: R1 P12 G Ikem Ekwonu - N.C. State
BpA,why not especially nobody knows what our line will look like by the end of 2022 with Hernandez..might as well beef it
39: R2 P7 WR Chris Olave - Ohio State
Well we'll well..look who slides into my lap..BPA...the rich could get richer ..
71: R3 P7 LB Amari Gainer - Florida State
Not much known of him..BPA
85: R3 P21 LB DeMarvion Overshown - Texas
See above 109: R4 P7 S Daniel Wright - Alabama
See above
114: R4 P12 TE Jeremy Ruckert - Ohio State
And yes...

Derek Stingley Jr. Lights out against Alabama as a freshmen...but Smith toasted him last year. He's the real deal. This will be his top 10 pick year....

Nice find on the 2022 mock draft sim
I went with
7) Evan Neal OT Alabama. because of the Bama connection. Strongly considered Ekwonu at G but think we currently have more OG options. Also very tough to pass on Hamilton S from Notre Dame, but we are stacked at S. He's a beast though. Christian Harris was another thought of mine too.
12) Really wanted to trade down with all those other options still there. Since I can't trade back I go with Jalen Wydermyer TE Texas A&M. Been thinking about it and TE IMO will be out #1 need next year. We can't pay Engram a ton more and will only have Rudolph for one more year after that. I would love to get Michael Myer from Notre Dame in 2023 but Wydermyer might be a beast. We will see how his blocking looks this year.
Next I went with Jordan Wright. Round two had lots of talent left, but not as much on the edge or pass rush as I would have liked.
Is it asking too much to hope we trade down again next year in the early first round? If the Bears give us a top ten pick and we trade it and pick up another first for 2023 that would be great.

He was a linebacker and tight end, and hit like a freight train. I'll see if I can find that max preps video...he would have been TE2 this year as a freshman....TE1 freshman any other year. Myer is probably my favorite college player going into next year. Truly baby Gronk

Derek Stingley Jr. Lights out against Alabama as a freshmen...but Smith toasted him last year. He's the real deal. This will be his top 10 pick year.... IIR isn't he Daryl's son ? But yeah Maybe because I really feel good about this draft and i am as of now more optimistic about our line (I think both of us think Peart will be the real deal at RT and all he needed was NFL meat ) So thinking the tackles and gates are solid at tbe very least...on paper all we need are the guards to be even functional and not liabilitis in the passing game and the offense can be a top 10 unit...witb what I feel is already a top 10 defense That =playoffs So Hypothetically this means our pick is in the mid 20s or something in 2022.. That is a prime spot for a top guard being BPA If somehow we end up in tbe top 6 with the Bears pick throw away needs and just take the best football player that falls to us DT,Stingly,an o lineman Dynasties are born from a rapidly rising young team with no glaring needs with what amounts to a huge luxury caliber top 10 pick that can make one unit off the charts elite And Stingly wouldn't have to be a savior year one.. Bradberry and Jadkson..depth inside ...he has a lot of bodies he has to beat out to get playing time

Hopefully he does not suffer Gronk's injuries, but talent wise he can be great.

Ran the simulator again and this time I went with
7) Kyle Hamilton S Notre Dame - straight up best player on the board. I know Safety's don't go too high recently but he will break that trend. Like most Notre Dame defenders he makes his money by being a smart defender but unlike many Notre Dame players in the past he has the athletic measureables to send him over the top. His high jump out of high school was 40", he had an 11' broad jump and his 40 is going to be very good as well for a S (4.5 range). Oh and he is 6'4" 220 pounds.
12) George Karlaftis DE/Edge Purdue - Keep an eye on him. I hope we don't pick at 12 next year but getting him at 12 will be a steal come next draft. He lives in the backfield. Freshman year 17 TFL and 7.5 sacks. Sophomore in 2 games he had 2 TFL and 2 sacks. This kid is a beast.
Round 2) Jalen Wyndermyer TE A&M. I don't mind scooping him up on a slight fall down the boards.
