Yeah...I posted that insane box jump in the college thread...yowza. I'm sold on this beast from last year...he will be a mainstay on my mock unless Jones bows out. We will need a top 5 pick to get this guy 1.I don't think the Bears will be that bad 2.if we have a top 5 pick ourselves we are not taking a LT unfortunately for obvious reasons But he is a legit unicorn pick if he falls to us even if both our tackles are legit but if we have 2 picks in the mid-teens/low 20's, we could potentially trade up, and not impact future drafts.

It has begun...Neal is an easy 9 pick at this time. Harris is the anchor of the Tide defense...intense and talented. Jordan Davis is a mountain with athletic ability. I see him 1st round. Anderson could be Edge 1 when the season is over...he has every tool for a pass rusher, and after watching him game 1...he's going top 10. Bonitto is another pass rush specialist...we need to keep collecting these players until we get a few pro bowl players. Yeah, Matt Corral...plays tonight. If DJ says he is the breakout QB to watch this year, we might be trading up our 2 1's for him if Jones fails. Haha. Tre Turner is a steal here...and we finish up with IOL, and quality...far too low on these boards. Ingram does have a huge character red flag, as in sexual assault, charges dropped...age never disclosed. 9: R1 P9 OT Evan Neal - Alabama 11: R1 P11 LB Christian Harris - Alabama 41: R2 P9 DL Jordan Davis - Georgia 73: R3 P9 EDGE Adam Anderson - Georgia 82: R3 P18 LB Nik Bonitto - Oklahoma 111: R4 P9 QB Matt Corral - Ole Miss. 113: R4 P11 WR Tre Turner - Virginia Tech 151: R5 P9 G Tyrese Robinson - Oklahoma 188: R6 P9 G Ed Ingram - LSU 228: R7 P9 C Ben Brown - Ole Miss

We do not have a long term replacement for Thomlinson . That is why I think a DT is one of our first round picks. Yep And fits the Gettleman mode perfectly for big guys up front help you win narrative... If all goes to plan and the Bears have a pick between 8-14 (while we pick between 23-27)an IDL would indeed be a BPA with the first pick and a great one potentially I am hoping the Bears stick with Andy Dalton and we have a Top 4 pick

Knowing this upcoming draft class has no sure fire QBs and knowing our current issues, suppose the Bears and Giants continue to stink it up. We end up with two top five picks. What would you think of the following:
And yes, I know this would never happen….
Pick 1 - Thibodeaux
Pick 2 - Karlaftis

BTW...you really need to watch a Cardinals game ....Kyler Murray is the best kept secret in the NFL....he's neck and neck with PM for magic. I also hate to say this but they are learning how to use Simmons....the defense is legit, from Watt/Jones all the way into that linebacking and secondary.

R1 P5 OT Evan Neal - Alabama- Thomas and Neal are the tackles for the next decade. Solder is a travesty and Peart not being able to beat him out is alarming as well. Can’t go wrong here with Neal.
R1 P7 QB Spencer Rattler - Oklahoma- Jones is definitely on the hot seat and Garrett isn’t doing him any favors but if they go QB Rattler has to be the top option or close to it. Height doesn’t worry me and the skill is there.
R2 P5 EDGE Nik Bonitto - Oklahoma- keep bringing in edge help. I like Bonitto a ton
R3 P5 WR David Bell - Purdue- fun WR prospect that I like quite a bit although we have a ton of bodies there currently
R3 P21 TE Charlie Kolar - Iowa State- I liked him a ton last year and Engram and Rudolph are far from an answer at the TE position
R4 P7 LB Grant Morgan - Arkansas- he plays hard as hell and love players like this. 4th round I’d take a chance no doubt and I could see him being an excellent ST’s guy bare minimum
R5 P5 G Cade Mays - Tennessee- OL depth
R6 P5 DL Ifeanyi Maijeh - Temple- DL depth

I'm still flabbergasted we had posters wanting Simmons over a stud OT....IMHO, they get put on the list...the Gettle ball washer list...a list of awe inspiring idiocy that starts with the GM and ends with Solder defense posts....posters that need ridicule at every chance. Murray would win in flag football as well...can't touch him.

R1 P5 EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux - Oregon - Edge is a massive need still and this would be a home run if he is available. Azeez looks to be a solid edge option with a sack per game but no one other than Leonard Williams is also getting to the QB. Instantly makes the defense the second he puts on the Giants blue
R1 P7 OT Evan Neal - Alabama- Neal and Thomas at tackle for the next decade. Continue to build the OL (sigh) but Neal and Thomas would be great building blocks for the OL
R2 P5 C Tyler Linderbaum - Iowa- Gates went down and had a potentially career ending injury which is just horrible. They have to prepare for a scenario where center is a massive need. Price has been decent with some crap mixed in but Linderbaum would be a great get at the top of the second round
R3 P5 LB Devin Lloyd - Utah- Modern LB that this team could use desperately. Been hoping they would grab one for years. Martinez is a solid LB but will be coming off an ACL. I like Crowder and Coughlin but they can certainly be upgraded. I like Lloyd a lot!
R3 P17 TE Jake Ferguson - Wisconsin- TE is a disaster and Engram with Garrett is a horrible pairing. Rudolph can’t move anymore and shouldn’t be the answer at this point of his career either. Ferguson is solid and probably is a day one starter
R4 P7 G Jamaree Salyer - Georgia- continue to build the OL with this absolute monster of a lineman
R5 P5 CB Kalon Barnes - Baylor- Feed at CB is something we can always use
R5 P31 WR Jalen Tolbert - South Alabama- total sleeper who will be going much higher by draft day
R6 P5 EDGE Ali Gaye - LSU- edge depth

I promised I wasn't going to do a mock till after week 4 at the earliest...
Still not going to But so far in this bizzaro world season for us Jones,Thomas are not the reasons.. Ojulari is looking the part of a really good edge rusher Williams is quietly having a repeat of his season last year and yet we could be looking at 0-10 ....
So If we see more of the same week 4 Spoiler alert I'm looking at the cream of the crop on both lines with 2 potentially top 10 picks

R1 P5 OT Evan Neal - Alabama- total monster of a human being and total stud. Him and Thomas would be like excellent as an OT duo. Build the OL right and do it after we get some people with some ideas from this century when it pertains to football
R1 P7 QB Malik Willis - Liberty- Daniel Jones is someone I have not been high on since draft day. He’s not the problem at all but I’m not convinced he’s the answer either. I think Willis with a modern offense is absolute box office. Sort of a weird Kyler/Lamar hybrid who is insanely tough to bring down but makes absolutely electric plays. I can’t pin a true comp on him but I absolutely love watching him play
R2 P5 G Ikem Ekwonu - N.C. State- keep building the OL and I think he’s a stud
R3 P5 EDGE Tre Williams - Arkansas- I think he’s playing a hell of a season right now. Good burst and explosiveness off the edge. Arguably our biggest need outside of coaching and front office help. Azeez looks like a really really solid player so let’s get another one next to him
R3 P11 WR David Bell - Purdue- One of my favorite WR prospects. I think he has the talent to be a really good NFL WR. He’s one of my favorite players to watch in college football. Keep building that offense up
R4 P7 TE Isaiah Likely - Coastal Carolina- Engram is not the answer and Rudolph certainly isn’t either. Likely is really really fun to watch from what I’ve seen and I think he could be an extremely good NFL TE prospect. Keep building the offense
R5 P5 LB Chad Muma - Wyoming- I was a big Logan Wilson fan out of Wyoming and I’m a big Muma fan. I like Crowder and Martinez but can never have enough depth (see the Martinez injury)
R5 P26 C Ben Brown - Ole Miss- I love Nick Gates and hope he proves the doctors wrong but he has a major uphill battle. SEC center who has seen some freaks week after week. Depth at worst but hopefully can beat our Price and company (or Gates returns)
R6 P5 CB Sevyn Banks - Ohio State- CB depth can never be something you have too much of

Me I at this point My top prospect the giants should target for one of our 1st round picks .There is no secret. I like drafting Bull Dogs. Jorden Davis DT Georgia. Great call on this guy Him and Neal if we keep trending this way would be a sick 2 man 1st round haul

If he continues to ball out and we don’t need to pick QB that would be huge especially since we are likely to have two top 15 picks and honestly two top 5 picks isn’t a stretch with our strength of schedule and Chicago’s. I’d love to walk away with Edge and OT with those picks

As promised My first mock draft of the 2021 season......
Some 1/4th season comments and what I feel 1.We won't be in the QB game it looks like..if Jones keeps playing this way we have our franchise QB AND our franchise LT looks like we also have a rising edge/olb guy in Ojulari ..
2.While a mess on paper witb injuries, and current replacement starters FAs next offseason along with Hernandez, tight cap, makes it very hard to project what our actual needs on the o line will be(and I'd Gates can even play next year ,especially with how surprisingly well as a unit it has played.Ideally we bring 2 guys back and Bredeson develops....
3.Losing Tomlinson is showing(the domino effect of having to sign a pass catxher for 72 million because Grampa Gettleman ignored the position other than Slayton since 2018. )This is a major target for me
4.Defense in general is an enigma..seemingly more talent and playing like they are scared.....
5.Finally have a fully loaded deck of playmakers,at least this year.
So... I accepted a trade back with New England for their 14th,2nd and 3rd... Yummy
7: R1 P7 OT Evan Neal - Alabama
Obvious BPA,Makes the O line that much deeper and more talented...plug him in opposite Thomas and we have a potential top 10 unit .
14: R1 P14 DL DeMarvin Leal - Texas A&M
I think Davis moves ahead of Leal by next April...don't matter,I want one of these beasts...plug and high end play guy
37: R2 P5 C Tyler Linderbaum - Iowa
We have a very murky interior O line heading into 2022...between injuries and FA.. I can't assume we have a starting C(I bring back Price if possible)if Gates is either done or its a Suebert 2 year injury..so until more data happens he is the pick here .
46: R2 P14 LB Nik Bonitto - Oklahoma
Another edge type guy to add to the mix. Carter probably is allowed to walk,X man is invisible...Smith is a developmental ? That is injured.Lots of production..
69: R3 P5 DL Jordan Davis - Georgia
Whaaa...get him and Leal in the same draft? I just had the most amazing chocolate buttercream lava cake and devoured it. Davis is a top 15 pick come next late April but I'm not passing on one of my favorite players this entire draft.
75: R3 P11 RB Kyren Williams - Notre Dame
Booker is useless...Brightwell could be good..Penny is our jack of all traded FB Williams is a modern smaller bowling ball home run threat type that would be a great addition to our RB group..
78: R3 P14 EDGE Christopher Allen - Alabama
Throwing another edge guy from a big school at the position..BPA
109: R4 P7 LB Jack Sanborn - Wisconsin
I seemed to always take this guy in previous mock drafts previous years. Familiarity bias,BPA....
147: R5 P5 CB Josh Thompson - Texas
BPA..corner depth
168: R5 P26 TE Chase Allen - Iowa State Good news is I selected a TE from Iowa State Bad news is that it's not the guy we wanted.. Missed out on a lot of TEs unfortunately as none were realistic BPAs...dunno much about him TBH...
184: R6 P5 WR Tre Turner - Virginia Tech
Yes WR is stacked...as of now.... But it doesn't hurt to get someone that is talented later in the draft for the bottom of the roster to develop as we have seen depth gets eaten up quickly Also Ross is on a 1 year deal and Slayton could be replaced by someone of similar skill sets as a rookie. And this guy bring some major special teams skills ...his hype video shows him blocking a punt..this is the kind of bottom of roster WR you want.
