I know we have witnessed a rough 5 year stretch with this team. The final 3 years with Eli was tough to watch, Daniel Jones development had likely been slowed down by the system change, two HC's fired, traded away one of the most talented players in OBJ, tons of losing and not much positivity in any regards to this team.
The excuse has been the last few years that this team is in full rebuild mode. But maybe, just maybe, the rebuild is over?
From the moment DG came in, he began to rid this team of all of the players from past regime and even to the point where in 2019 it felt like Saquon, Shepard, Zeitler and Peppers were the only talented players on the roster. Only one of whom was here before Gettleman came in. The team felt bare boned.
Now, I think this team is loaded with talent. From the offense, a hopefully healthy Saquon, Golladay, Shepard, Toney, Gates and hopefully Thomas. Defensively, they are stacked.
Of course, it all comes down to Daniel Jones and how the OL comes together. But even with that, I think the rebuild in itself may be over. This team is set up nicely with talent and for the future with tons of draft capital. Lets just hope this season can be a successful one.
And Go Giants.

If he does then they continue to add talent to the OL and D front 7 as primary positions.

They have shown they are not close to being championship contenders..
This can change as development does take time but results are what's now needed..

It feels like forever. The Great Pyramids took less time to construct than our everlasting rebuild. The Eli Manning debacle set us back, terrible insight by our front office. We dissembled this roster not once, but twice. It also depends on how the season goes. After spending $200 million in guaranteed money the past two years, drafting high, trader Dave wheeling and dealing. We should finally be at the end of the rebuild.
Throughout the league teams are rebuilding faster than ever. What normally takes a few years, is being done in less time. We seem to defy all logic and take the scenic route with our rebuild.

We have added more talent in the last 2 years that hasn't reached anywhere near their potential. Jones, Andrews, Lawrence, McKinney, plus players that have had their best seasons LW, Bradbury, Peppers, Ryan, and Martinez. These last 5 all defense.
The draft and FA this year are definately going to turn this team around. So yes a team rebuild has been accomplished but not finished imo. But with the draft picks next year in whats supposedly a deep draft and we have 7 picks in first 4 rds ? And we have an extra 1st rd pick ?
Next year is going to be the pinnacle of the rebuild. So it's not over. As good as we become this season next season were an even stronger team.

We have upgraded many positions over the past 2 years and our depth seems to be improved as well, however.....
It won't be over until the OL shows that it is NFL grade and playoff ready.
If we have those guys on the roster now it will be over.
Until they (the OL) show it on the field, we are a work in progress.

Your question is not able to be answered quite yet I agree, our total rebuild being successful and moving forward so we can play with the big boys is dependent on Jones taking the next step and becoming a good NFL quarterback, if not then its back to square one ... |

The rest of the team seems to be in pretty decent shape with decent depth. But the QB is the top spot in sports. If you have a good one your fine. If you don't, your screwed. |

Management gets the sole blame on that one, it’s not his fault the team didn't recognize when to replace a player. What does that have to do with having one playoff appearance in nine years? Not rebuilding. Very big difference. ......only to the fans. Rebuilding to me means new coach, new QB, mass changes on the defense, offense, O-line. And expectations are very low. The Giants have been rebuilding. The Chiefs are building. Night and day scenarios. |

This team is more in the restocking mode now starting to draft over 3rd and 4th year players keeping it cheaper and younger. They are always building and all teams have holes, they seem to be more in the filling holes and restocking the roster with quality depth mode. |

I'd say this is the first year where I am optimistic the rebuild is over, but as others have said, there are a bunch of IFs that need to work out before it is "done"

I always said since basically the Odell trade that at that point we were in full blow it up and rebuild mode and it would take a few years ..
As far as bringing in players,once Gettleman finally got his head out of his ass and brought in the firepower we desperately needed at WR to me as far as players
On paper it's close to being finished...
Let's see how tbey perform

It likely doesn't matter if the rebuild is "done", they are on notice to win.

I think we will know the answer to that question as this season progresses and we see what this team is and if Jones proves he is truly the QB this team needs. There are always tweaks and improvements that can and need to be made, but I think most of the pieces are in place.

LOL sometimes when a team is as bad as the Giants were it has to start somewhere, Usually a couple years of itty bitty baby steps is what it starts with, then you have a year like last year where teams had to worry, Now they need to take the next step which is playoff contention and not at 6-11 or 7-10. Being competitive only gets you one year pf good graces it's time to win. |
