Yeah the stripes...especially the huge white one on tbe pants.. The jerseys are nice (numbers on shoulders for the nodern edge...and Maybe put GIANTS on the sleeves to satisfy those that want to see this somewhere I always liked the Giants logo (either one) on the front of the jersey on the center collar. Rather it on the sleeves Team name or city looks too college for me on the front |

Here's our current home uniform for reference.
In addition to the gray pants which we didn't see a lot at home, the face masks are gray.
The designer in me also doesn't like the stripes on the pants. Give me the single red stripe between the two blue stripes like back in the 80's as well.
Like most of you I prefer the "ny" on the helmet, but prefer the darker blue we used to wear. This blue looks more like the Bills.
Our road uniforms look pretty hideous as MS pointed out. They make no sense other than to replicate what we once wore which was as fugly back then as it is today.
Is that the great Tyler Sash lol? 39? |

Personally I don't like the white home pants they wear now..I think they should just go back to the Grey pants from 2000-2011. OR they should wear the 80s pants.
I also would like for them to darken the blue just a little on the home uniforms. When they originally wore those Jerseys it's was a dark blue. Likewise I feel like it was also a darker blue from 2004-2011.
I just think the darker blue looks cooler, more rugged; just more bad ass I suppose you could say.

Not sure abut the unis, but I think the Giants should change their helmet logo. It should be a picture of a Giant Ogre stomping on/out little villagers. That is to install fear and trepidation in our opponents. I would also enjoy hearing the lamentation of their womenfolk after we destroy them 85 - 0 in our usual outing. After a while calls will be made to the commissioners office imploring him to break up our team as no one has the ability to beat us.

I started watching when they switched to the GIANTS helmet logo. That made more sense than a state we don't play in.
The 80's white pants were too white. They looked electric, especially during night games. The current uni's with the grey pants look great. Something about the shade of blue they're using now just sparkles.

I never understood why they didn't keep the 80s uniforms as alternatives the entire time

I like the old unis a lot better except for the "Giants" logo. We should always have the "NY" as our logo.
I especially hate the grey pants. And our road uniforms are essentially high school uniforms.
Agree, the helmet logo just isn't right. I missed the crisp white and then someone told me that the grey pants were actually how our pants looked way back when. I'll still take the white pants and current helmet . |

I actually like the uniforms that we have currently. That old Giants logo sucked IMO. I absolutely hated it growing up. Just my piece.

My favorite uniforms would be current jerseys and helmets, but darker blue, gray pants with the old stripe and black shoes. Pretty much the uniforms from 2006 I believe. |

The Giants have not worn grey pants at home in a number of years now. The only time they wear blue top grey bottom is in Dallas or on the road where the home team wears white tops.
I personally think the Giants current uniform set is perfect. I'm in my mid 40's so I've been around for 80/90s as well.

Id like it more, if they actually played in NY. I think its pathetic they built that new stadium in NJ again. They could tear down half of NYC now, and no one would care - a stadium there could help salvage what's left. You ain't kidding.....I'm back in the office part-time in midtown now and the city resembles what it looked like in the early 80's.....was walking to the PATH train yesterday and on the backside of Macy's (35th Street) saw two dudes openly shooting heroin on the sidewalk as people were commuting......so sad.....not to mention the whole town stinks of weed and garbage 24/7 nowadays coupled with the summer heat coming in.......tear it all down.....start over.....but without the stadium.....leave it in NJ or throw it in Rockland county. |

I hear you, it needs something of a miracle. I worked on Church St in the early '80s and the thought of cycling back to that (we are there now) is very sad. I don't think a stadium would change anything. In an ideal world it should have been on the west side but this is a very imperfect world. Leave it where it is until the next rebuild and then maybe NYC will have earned it back. |
