Apparently he's due 1 million and change each of the next 2 years. It says if we cut him we save 800,000 plus, with a 250,000 dollar penalty. Don't know if that's already included in the 800,000 ?
But this would be a win win. A headache is gone and is replaceable and we save money on the cap. Him and Baker can go into business together, Hope Getty has better luck picking CB's in the draft this year and the future.
These 2 were beauts, Eli Apple gets honorable mention. Lets have someone else pick CB's from now on.

The fact that he opted out is immaterial and should not even be brought up. What is material are his charges and his days as a NYG will be done. I am oretty sure someone will blame Gettleman for this and that would be unfair and a bad take. He does not have a crystal ball or a flying Delorean.

We are talking organizations that talk to everyone in a player's inner circle before drafting him. They also run police background checks repeatedly throughout their careers. I am 100% sure that the Giants did their due diligence. People change unfortunately for the worst sometimes. |

I have to give him credit. Beal made a lot of money and got free high end medical treatment for a couple years. He isn’t completely stupid. Just doesn’t want to be a football player obviously.
