The reason is a simple one word answer. Belief. So prophetic! Too bad BELIEF didn’t translate to W’s for the past several years. LMAO the last several years? I think Judge had one season here and clearly impressed his players enough they believe in him. Man you really don't like if anyone says anything positive about the Giants, why are you so cranky?

The stories are starting about Judge…..throw a few losses on this and the locker room will fall apart.
Did you miss last year? After all that's when the stories first began and we started the season 0-5.
I think I can speak for most people when I say that we really don't care about your JV experience as it relates to the 2021 NY Giants.

This is one of the many reasons its so important to draft well. You have your leaders on the team buy in on a guy like Joe Judge and show the younger guys how important it is to be all in; so that when they are in the same position, they can pass that along to the next crop of young guys. When you bring in so many guys from the outside, thats when it can get messy IMO.
This team is fortunate that guys like Martinez, Logan Ryan and Bradberry have not only worked out on the field but in the locker room as well. Mix that with key guys like DJ, Saquon, Peppers and Shepard, this team has quality leadership.
After starting 1-7 last year and finishing 5-3, I dont think we need to worry about players quitting on each other like in the past. But that can only last so long, they need to start winning games.

Coming off of a 4-12 2019 season with an inept head coach. 2020, the Covid season with abbreviated preseason camp. All new coaches. All new O and D schemes. No preseason games to work out the kinks and build some familiarity with each other, especially on the OLine. A 2nd year QB who was assimilating his 2nd new offense in the Pros.. A significant number of new faces on both sides of the line After a 1-7 start they go 5-3 and look like something positive is building. JJ and his new team finished the season on a posotive note and the players were excited about their new, inexperienced coach and what they werre re-building. If some people want to take that 6-10 season at face value, and project negatives, then they have no true recognition of what was happening... belief that the corner has been turned for the first time in 9 years. It's the only way to anticipate the new season.... positive and hopeful.

Wins and losses, as usual, will dictate whether Judge's methods work or not.

It's the only way to anticipate the new season.... positive and hopeful. Are you sure this is the right website for you? I seem to get in trouble for being too positive and hopeful. I'm with you though. Going 5-3 to end the year last year was astonishing. Let's keep it going.

Not saying you’re a definitive J-hole. Just saying this is the kind of post a J-hole would regularly write, but for you it might just be the mood you’re presently in.

just started reading another one, a writer from New England saying judge is gonna lose the team and sighting 4 retirements there were only 3 they cut Benjamin. That said the guys that matter the drafted players and top free agents and his assistants love him, fringe vets that might not even make the team are not a good measuring stick for how a team feels about their coach. Maybe they took Sheps advice this is the way we do things if you don't like it leave

I’m not a homer so I don’t look at everything as rainbows and unicorns, sorry if that offends you and the others who liked your post. Deal with it or block me. There are also aspects of this team I like but they are primarily defensive related, specifically the secondary. I apologize if it hurts your feelings that I don’t pull out the pom poms and drink the Joe Judge Kool Aid after this team had one of the worst offenses in the league last year with one of the worst offensive lines which they did absolutely nothing to change but bring in new coaches. I really don’t care what the players think of Joe Judge, do teams win Super Bowls based on how much their players like them? Some of the most successful teams in sports had coaches that were notorious for not being liked by their players, see the NE Patriots or our own Tom Coughlin. I’m glad Joe Judge wins the popularity contest

No, I use stats and reality which some people have a problem and you try to piss down my leg and tell me it’s raining. It’s ridiculous to get upset with people because they post facts because you live in fantasy land. So what if I post Lemieux is horrible over and over again? Is he not? Should I berate you if Barkley has a great season and you comment a lot about how great he is? Absurd.

Who scouts OL Mike?...I coached high school and helped the OL and DL...I just enjoy busting your balls because it makes me upset. I simply have never seen a single poster.... ever....whom declares how right he was, with being so wrong, so often...and argue 3-10 year old subjects over and over to somehow gain some sense of confidence you must be lacking....look how you are reaching out for internet friends in such a pathetic manner..."that's his posting style" BTW...Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson...oh my....that was some great class of QB's....

nypost.com/2021/08/06/joe-judge-practices-not-to-blame-for-so-many-giants-retirements/All those who think Judge's laps and push ups for accountability are JV like and bullshit tactics chasing players away can all suck it..... Reached by The Post on Friday, Fulton’s agent Rick Smith was adamant about the fact that Judge’s training camp had zero to do with his client’s decision to retire. That’s consistent with the feedback from both Looney and Davis.
For his part, Judge spoke on Friday with enormous compassion for the three players — particularly for a coach who has a reputation as a tough guy, being a Bill Belichick disciple and all.
“I’ve offered every one of these players an opportunity to actually take a couple of days and think about it before making a career-deciding decision,’’ Judge said. “I had a good conversation with Zach [Thursday] night. Zach was doing a good job for us. He’s a guy that I didn’t want to see go. However, I respect his decision. A lot of these older vets, they’re at a different point in their life with different things.
“You have to respect when these guys look us in the eye and say, ‘Listen, I really wanted to see if I could push through it, but I don’t think my body’s at that point,’ and you can leave this point in the game with your health.’’
Judge said he’s “left the door open for all three’’ players to return to the team if they change their minds “based on circumstances that, if something were to happen, they can return if we have room for them.’’
“I’d welcome all three of them back, I really would,’’ he went on. “These are guys we brought in our program because we think they would help the team. They’re three good dudes.’’

Some of the most successful teams in sports had coaches that were notorious for not being liked by their players, see the NE Patriots or our own Tom Coughlin. I’m glad Joe Judge wins the popularity contest If I blocked everyone I disagreed with then this place would get boring very quickly. The question was posed as to why the players would buy into Judge's system. The ONLY answer, IMO, is belief. What else is there? They certainly haven't proven the system in the win column. I mean I guess the answer could be Judge is bribing them or maybe he tells great jokes but I think the answer to the question is the players believe in the system. It has nothing to do with liking the coach.
You claim to deal in reality yet you are way off topic talking about rainbows and unicorns. Why not deal in the reality of the post I was responding to?
No one asked what YOU think of Joe Judge...because no one really cares. We were discussing what the players think of him. I'm sorry if it hurts your feelings that we are not here to discuss what Vinnie thinks of the coach. If you want to join in on the conversation then do it, don't flip out because someone answered a question that didn't involve you.

But Kelvin Benjamin said....
I would not rule out one of these guys coming in later in the year if we (knock on wood) have the need for another OL. Good on Judge for keeping that door open and good on the players for talking with the team about their decisions.
