Eh they were both handsy on that. Just saw a highlight Remember when Shawn Wade was a high 1st round corner prospect last fall? Corners next to QB have one of the bigger learning curves lookout Okudah kid struggled mightily next in line is Its there curve is tough to.

But look at the coaches too. Some coaches can get the most and the best from players. Parcells did. He took average Joes and got great plays out of them. Motivated individuals. For some reason, after seeing this trash for a bit, I don’t think Judge is one of those coaches. No way. These are professionals going up against other professionals. Equal coaching, which we probably have across the entire NFL with a few exceptions illustrates the talent gaps between teams. Our team is incredibly talent deficient, and it happens to be along the O line, or really the two tackles. Equal coaching across the NFL? There’s no such thing man. There’s bad coaches, and there’s good coaches. Judge needs to do something to show me he’s a good coach.

Missed the game, started watching highlights and stopped at the Jones endzone int. Saw enough. Seems to stare at one receiver still. Media seems to indicate the OL struggled. Shocking?
Need 10 wins and we’ll see how they look when the game counts.

Watching the hightlites on the the NFL app some quick takes 1.1st sack had Jones been able to step up like it seemed he wanted to it's probably not a sack...whomever was LG got pushed back badly
2.Throw it into the 1st row Daniel....nothing was there..
3.Beautiful all around play from both Smith and Jones on that TD pass...that how an NFL TE runs a seam and makes the catch...perfect throw..
4.Brightwell seems to have had a lot of action with tbe starters...especially effective in the passing game
5.Penny ....been saying this for a few years...let him handle the ball..has a nice burst and surprising agility for a FB type..
4.Harris has to make this roster...

I think something to remember Its pre season it doesn't count. not all the starters were playing as a matter of fact still a lot of players weren't playing. That being said The first team defense in the first half looked really good! and I really liked Daniel Jones's last TD drive! Plus for Daniel Jones is he didn't fumble the ball even with that sack so ball security. was better for Jones! in the second half A lot of the starters were taken out so we didn't play as good. At least Mac Jones didn't Torch us like in practice and Mike Glennon played almost as good as Mac Jones! There are some pre seasons where we we win every game and then Stink in the season so you cant go on that. Even when Eli was the QB this was the case its just practice a warm up and the first teams first go at it...
PS: I canceled my NFL Sunday pass not because I don't believe in the Giants but rather to save money I'm in the red on my credit card...

There is five guys on the line, besides Shane Lemieux. The starting four played together in two games. Jets and Browns joint scrimmage. You said, the line has yet to play together as a unit. The Jets and Browns happened, it’s not a figment of your imagination. And count the first half tonight, that’s enough to warrant a concern for the unit that has question marks all over. Look, you want to chalk this down as lack of playing.. That’s fine, someone might buy that. However, they have a real game in two weeks. Against a defense, that will not be playing backups. This isn’t overreacting, or pointing the finger at the wrong individual. This is clearly an issue that most of us saw coming. The Giants put all their eggs in the basket of the line, and now we have to live with it. The projected starters did not play one snap together it is as simple as that. I said that and that's the facts. What you said does not change the facts. Talk to me when all 5 projected starters are on the field in real game action. One starter didn’t play.. One.. Are you really putting that much emphasis on a 5th round guard that half this fan base thinks can’t pass block worth a damn? Talk to me when the Giants offensive “starters” actually play well against fellow NFL starters..

Need 10 wins and we’ll see how they look when the game counts. the pick had nothing to do with staring down a receiver. It had everything to do with being stupid and trying to do things he cant and shouldn't. . Flushed out of the pocket rolling to his right and he throws back against the grain. Pure dumbass football. The OL did struggle. Thomas now getting beat outside instead of inside. But the over the OL was getting pushed around on pass pro. Peat got beat a few times and the middle caved here and there too. Jones under duress often. They did have a nice drive on a 2 minute drill ending in a nice pass by Jones to Kaden Smith. Engram has a calf injury and he looked pissed. Like "I'm gonna be out for a while" pissed. The D was OK. Still letting up too many big runs up the gut and around the end. Martinez had a great pick he stole from a WR about 15 yards down field. Great effort play. Gano missed a FG. Bottom line the OL, Jones and the offense look lack luster still.

Hope is not a plan but its all I have today. the 2 things that were really disappointing were Thomas's play, was really hoping to see a bit of improvement, not regression, and some of DJ's play. The INT was unacceptable, and he totally missed the RB to dump off to on the 2nd sack. Seems like some of those awareness issues are still present. Guess we'll see in a few weeks, when the enchilada is on the table.

Bottom line if DJ hit Booker that sack never happens and thats one less screw up for Thomas as well.

Before the int, on several plays it looks like he makes up his mind on one target. What did you see? Is he reading off the safety and delivering a strike w/o giving away his target? Does he even have the time?

I know it's preseason, but that's been the rhetoric the last few years, and then the season starts and the team looks just like it did in preseason.
I've expressed confidence in the OL, hoping and assuming that there is a reason they didn't draft any other lineman, and have confidence in the group we have. Watching that performance yesterday doesn't give me any confidence at all.
Jones hasn't shown the ability to consistently make plays, and good decisions, when the play breaks down. When he knows where he is going with the ball, and has time, he is fine. But when the play breaks down, or he has to go through his progressions, his effectiveness seems diminished and he tends to make bad decisions and mistakes. At times he just doesn't seem to see the whole field.
I know, it's only one preseason game, and his first true live action. Like last year...and the year before that. It's hard to stay positive

Its rare he will have time to go beyond his second read unless he makes time in the pocket which he will have hard time doing. Seems he almost never has a pocket to "climb up in".

Wonderful.
All of the injured players we signed and drafted are injured.
Jones is still making mind-numbingly stupid plays at critical moments.
Our number 4 overall pick at OT looks like football is a new sport for him.
Can’t wait for the season!!!

Last season he was getting beat inside and mow he is getting beat outside. Other times he looks fine. he is definitely thinking too much. But thats what struggling payers do. Then you add in Jones not getting rid of the ball quick enough at times and the rest of the OL collapsing as well.

At times, watching him, he seems to have footwork issues like Flowers did, but I thought that was a strength of his coming out of college? Maybe not.

The whole line is young. They have to play like individuals but at the same time as a unit. Not an easy task. They seem to be fooled easily and dont react well to stunts. In his interview AT seemed to be mention his hand placement as being and issue and not being squared up. The kid can play very well at times but can he be consistent? Maybe yes maybe no. The rest of the OL has to get their shit together as well. DG and Judge are counting on 4 young players to all come together at the same time. Not great odds for that happening

Yes fine. Let's revisit when they are all on the field together. As much as Lemieux is still a question mark he is light years better than what has been next to Thomas this pre-season and throughout the scrimmages.

Engram gets hurt, Smith always steps up. The sooner EE gets on IR the better my mental health during the regular season.

Man if Engram doesnt get stopped short at the 1 yard line on that first and goal play, we would have such a different feeling towards Jones right now. Could have been 17/21 2TDs
