I like what little tape I've seen. He has a gun. He stands 6'4 which is pretty good, and he's coming out of Josh Allen's division. This is a guy that can rise up the boards with a strong season and what I feel is a weak QB class.
He's a guy that can turn into #1 due to measurables and combine showing.

As far as weak class I really think Ratler can be the real deal...reminds me so much of Mayfield right down to his smaller size (size is kinda irrelevant in this era )

But Mayfield sucks respectfully Why I say the class looks weak before watching a single down. They have a bunch of 6' - 6'2 guys coming out which is not ideal. The QB Willis from Houston is also a guy to watch.

Strong is getting some hype. CBS Sports mocked him #2 overall to Detroit.
"Strong has everything needed to go this early in the 2022 draft. He's experienced with a strong arm, quick release, and great accuracy. Plus, he's bound to have a monstrous 2021 thanks to the skill-position talent around him."
They also had us getting Ratler.
"The Giants probably need to make the playoffs for Dave Gettleman and Daniel Jones to keep their jobs. If New York isn't a postseason team, there'll be a new quarterback in the shotgun next year, and this is good value with Rattler at No. 6 overall."

Ratler is my guy and if we have to do a qube change I'd be happy as shit . Right now ratler is the obvious number 1 I've only seen Corral once but he definitely has me interested to see more Let's hope all this is moot in 4 weeks and the early pick is the Bears's pick and we are starting discussions for what would be a good BPA pick in the 7-11 range

How is his arm strength? We need someone with a strong arm and bigger ish hands for these Nov Dec games at home. Definitely appears as of now to be a 3 horse race between Strong, Ratler and Corral. Not a fan of the UNC QB.

Game 1
22/39 312 yards 2 TD's and 1 INT
The problem for me is that I need to see him face a team that can pressure him in the pocket.

Slovis might be someone to keep an eye on for USC though a lot of USC QBs seem to tank in the NFL of late

Malik Willis is also someone to look out for creeping up boards.
Liberty QB takes on Cuse this weekend so I'll get to watch him.
Like a poor man's Lamar Jackson out there. Good arm, electric fast.

I like Matt Coral now since i watch Ole Miss games. Again, he is a bit undersized.
That guy Malik Willis from Liberty.....man, if we needed a QB, that's the guy to hold you down while your OL sucks. That man does not need an OL to make plays and defenders want no parts of him outside the pocket. Lamar Jackson part 2?

Definitely fits the Kyler Murray mold. Not as good a passer however IMO. The traits though, the electric speed, the live arm, its there. Built more like aRB playing QB. I could see the Lions interested if they have the #1. Certainly fits the "Todays NFL QB" bill. Just need s solid HC to take him in. Wonder if it would be a Hugh Freeze / Malik Willis combo package like Arizona took on. So much Rattler love here and he got benched lol

He litterally fell apart after a few bad games...not a good look

Malik Willis and Toney would be a problem for teams.

He has an arm. Plenty of zip on the ball in tight windows. He hits the receiver in stride on deep passes to the boundary. He will creep up boards once they test him.

If we are QB shopping with one of our 1st rd picks while also looking to shed some baggage, how about trading a 1st, Jones and Barkley for Trevor?

We could get Russell Wilson before Trevor. But it would be both #1's and next years...and jones.

On Michael Kay they were seriously discussing if the Giants should offer DJ and both 1sts to Seattle for Wilson. With or without DJ, Seattle might do that. I'm no sure I'd make that trade, but it's seems about right.

12/7/21: Strong has completed 70 percent of his passes this season for 4,186 yards, 36 touchdowns and eight interceptions. In speaking to two NFL scouting directors, they each said Strong was a legit early-round prospect, but they did not have him graded as a high first-rounder.
This is from Walter football. He is currently their 4th ranked QB in the draft.

Yup, this is the guy for the NYG. QB1 in this class. Best arm, best accuracy, best processing skills. Makes every throw on the field. Beautiful deep ball with a teardrop. Makes all the protection calls and pre-snap audibles. Justin Herbert 2.0 thedraftnetwork.com/articles/carson-strong-2022-senior-bowl-nfl-draftDaboll would love this guy. If the Giants go QB, it's Carson Strong. Question is, where do u pick him?

He is a high risk , a traditional pocket passer.
