But low information fans that were always "Not my QB" since the pick will never see it this way He all but carried the team on his back last night....over 340 total yards last night and drops left nearly 100 more yards on tbe field Probably his best night as a Giant. I'm happy for him. It's up there witb his very first start.. This is the first time I saw him where he played like his rookie season He needs a few more games like this so when the inevitable next turnover happens (we all know he will as all qbs turn it over as it's the nature of the position)he can not be bothered by it (I doubt it does but at the same time in a prove it year every turniver is directed nore than a frog in 9th grade biology class)

Jones had a solid game but the jury is still out on him. 1) His pocket presence still is terrible. 2) He holds the ball to long and takes unnecessary sacks 3) Fumbles way to much. Let's not pretend that this solid game tells us he is a franchise QB... No one is declaring him an All-Pro at this point. But he is clearly transforming into the player we expect him to be. That would be the best thing for the Giants if he works out but I wonder if the new GM / HC would even want him.... Hopefully he balls out for the rest of the year and makes it a no brain decision..

That run from Jones was a thing of beauty to get the Giants into field goal range...

jones isnt the problem, the offense is only in this game because of him. he's playing as well as you can expect with no protection as usual. Jones had a solid game but the jury is still out on him. 1) His pocket presence still is terrible. 2) He holds the ball to long and takes unnecessary sacks 3) Fumbles way to much. Let's not pretend that this solid game tells us he is a franchise QB... as you said, he was plenty good last night, lets see if he can play like that consistently we'll be ok.
