At some point we have to stop equating okay or average with good. The Oline ranking matters just as much as other positions rankings. If we want other positions to be good we need the Oline to be good as well. The bad news is they really only have 1 guy (Thomas) from last seasons line playing. Zeitler was a big loss (FA) in my opinion Gates was another big loss (injury) Lemiuex also had some real potential (injury) The good news is the replacements have had some bright spots so far. If they still had Thomas-Gates-Zietler on the line still I think they might have surprised some people. RT may be the concern for now.I’ve been hearing that for year. The only surprise so far is, that they’ve been so bad for so long. As for the job g the corner, they must of fell in a ditch, I’m still waiting on them. Last week was encouraging, they played well against a formidable opponent. However, I’ve read this book before. They play decent for a game, then it all goes to shit the following week. This team needs to understand the word “consistency” I don’t care if Judge has to give all the players dictionaries and highlight the word. Just get it into their head. I think the well for a game is even overstating things a bit. I would say questionable for 1.5 quarters and solid bordering good for 2.5 quarters. That is not the standard for the oline on a winning team. Being ranked 31 last season was not as well. I'm hopeful that Thomas will be the real deal. I think Zeitler was our best and solid. I think Nick Gates was legit before his injury. He was a real battler. Problem is that was only 3/5th of a Oline and now we only have 1 of them left. What I saw in the first game of the season was alarming but that may be partly on the coaches. Our guys barely played together in the preseason. I do not have any excuses for how bad Solder and Peart looked on a few plays. Everyone can argue about DJ or the WR but the bottom line is teams that lose the battle of the lines lose most games. That should be our real focus.

That should be our real focus. Losing Gates and Lemieux is a huge loss to an already shaky unit. Price played admirable for his first game with the team. However, I’ll hold off on the congratulations until I see it done repeatedly. I also don’t trust Solder as far as I can throw him. He’s that one player who can wreck a game all by himself We’re in luck this Sunday though. Atlanta is a pathetic team, if they win three games this year consider that a win for them. They’re how we were a couple years back, boring and terrible. If the line can give Jones time, he’ll make plays. Or, turn into a pumpkin. Whatever comes first.

Why would anyone feel they need to answer to you about it? I just assumed the same people who constantly tell me it takes at least 3-4 years to build an O line may have an answer. What I should have assumed is that they’re full of shit, know it, and have no answers (only excuses) so they wouldn’t respond which is exactly what happened. no team in todays NFL can wait 3 to 4 years to build an O line, the league is results driven and teams must show improvement or people get fired, its just the way it is..

It’s supposed to be upper 90’s here today which is probably part of the reason for my extra foul mood. Hot, humid and having to deal with cowboys crap all week since they won. I can see The Star from where I’m at right now, blah. I think tomorrow we get our “cool” front and it should be mid 80’s for the rest of the week. Ew. I like Texas, but right now it’s one of the last places I’d want to be. I live in the Houston area after moving here from NJ and I can tell you this place really sucks, it either floods or there is a drought and everything dies or we have a hurricane or a tornado as for the heat people living in the desert wouldn't want to live here, anybody who brags about living in Texas is smoking some pretty strong stuff..

For sure, pretty sure it was in this thread (too tired and lazy to look back) when we were talking about our bet and I said I wouldn’t be surprised to see us win 2 of the next 3. Atlanta “for sure” and either the cows (unlikely) our the Saints (because as you said, which Winston shows up) but I could justbas easily see us losing 2 of 3 because that’s what losers do and that’s what the Giants are until proven otherwise with a winning record. Agreed. We are in a weird place where if we lost the next 3 I would not be shocked (maybe slightly from Atlanta) and if we win the next three I would not be shocked.

I would be extremely shocked, and pleasantly surprised, if we won 3 of the next 3.

I do enjoy the people, I enjoy the cost of living, I enjoy not looking for parking spaces, I enjoy how big houses are, I enjoy not having to grind constantly like when I lived up north. I am not a workaholic anymore and like that people here aren't either.

I really enjoyed Texas but I like the more wide open suburbs more than San Antonio, Austi, Houston or Dallas. I may even try rural some day. Texas is so large. There are so many different kinds of lives there. You can drive 8 hours and still be in Texas.
