He is almost a clone of Eli later in there careers I can say this with confidence if they don't pressure him get him off his spot he will dice them up like Sushi, Graham better come with some way to manufacture pressure. This will not be as easy as people think.

I can't believe Vegas has the Giants favored by 3. I thought it would be a pick 'em for the exact reason the OP highlights (that Ryan, if not pressured, can carve us up).

This, plus he is an established quarterback unlike Taylor Heinicke from ODU(about 15 miles from where I am sitting) who just beat them and Teddy Bridgewater who has been looking to maintain a start somewhere in his career.

That goes for every quarterback. You give an NFL quarterback time in the pocket, he’ll cut you up like a thanksgiving turkey. Speaking of turkey, not all quarterbacks fall into this category. Tim Tebow could have minutes in the pocket, and he still couldn’t hit the broad side of the Empire State Building.

The 3 points must be for the home field (supposedly) advantage. Ridley and Pitts are very dangerous. And Ryan seems to be getting in real good stride with Ridley. Especially on the other side of the 50. He might be more daring.

With how soft the CBs have been playing, I'd have to say Graham has been calling invert cover 2 plays. Just a guess without checking the film closely. Last year they had a lot of success with invert cover 3 and various zone blitzes. I think they should lean on that while playing press man in certain situations.

If they sit back in that soft zone like they have been, Atlanta will score even more points than either Denver or Washington.

Ya know I heard Ryan say in an interview earlier in the week that he viewed "this game as a winnable game and he thinks with the way his offense is starting to come on Atlanta can turn their season around".
Ridley and Pitts are very dangerous targets. imho Those are the 2 we must stop to win this game. Hopefully we stop their run game to under 100 yds. And if we scored 29 vs the WFT defense I just feel the sky is the limit vs the Atlanta defense.
I don't know if I would say I'm expecting our offense to explode but damn it I want to see our offense on the red zone channel all damn day.

All they had to do was run the ball on that 3rd down and kick the field goal to win the game. Instead they decide to pass, take a sack to knock them out of FG range. The rest is history.

Have to agree they haven't been the same as a team nor he as a top 10 QB 100% agree on that one.

The home team is a 3 point favorite by default. What they're really saying here is that these teams are pretty much evenly matched. If Atlanta were the home team, they would be the 3 point favorite.

I just can't understand why they'd constantly be 8+ yards away from the receiver unless they have a deep zone assignment (like in inverted cover 2)

He's still throwing at a high completion percentage, which is trouble for a defense that's giving up a ridiculously high %. I expect a high scoring game that can go either way.
This team cannot, I repeat, cannot leave touchdowns on the field. Or it's going to be an unfathomable 0-3.

This will not be as easy as people think. We have gotten pressure the first two weeks, we didn't get home much because there is no outside pressure. LW and Lawrence collapse the pocket and the QBs (both mobile) were easily able to buy some time. I hope we crank up the outside pressure in this game and turn it loose vs Ryan.

You hit Ryan a few times, he'll make mistakes. Can't let him get into a rhythm.

The way they're squandering his prime reminds me of Eli too Like drafting a TE at 4 touched by the hand of god rather than keeping Julio and getting some blocking? You ain’t kidding.

Lol I was thinking the same thing! Still remember how impressed I was by Matt Ryan his rookie season. Always been a great QB. These front offices can be so out of touch. Unfortunately for him he might end up like Phillip Rivers (no super bowl rings).
