NY has to win the TOP & the TO battle & we win. Don't do either of those & here comes 1-4. Coach clapper should throw on 1st down often to set us up in 2nd & 5 situations where we then can keep the Dallas D guessing if we're gonna run or throw on 2nd down. Hey Demon! Long time no see. I kinda miss butting heads with you. Remember ol' dink and dunk Dak? He's still dinkin and dunkin! Who'd of thunk it? Que pasa my dude. Dak is a very good QB, but imo, Dallas overpayed him. Your SB window is this yr, maybe next, after that, it shuts imo.

Hey guys, I'm going to give you an honest perspective on the Cowboys and Giants matchup as a boys fan.. First off, I think Garrett is a good coordinator in the sense that he understands players abilities and has very good run concepts... Obviously Danny is playing pretty good and Saquan (sorry if I misspelled that) is a beast who can kill anyone at any given time... It wouldn't at all surprise me to see the Giants get the upset just based on our history of eating the cheese so to speak...
The one thing I do want to say about the cowboys that is very different and very foreign is that Mike McCarthy does an amazing job of getting the entire team involved. Our depth has gone from none to a strong suit.. Some of that is better players, but some of it is also the way Big Mike goes about getting players reps and putting them in situations or positions that take advantage of what they do well.. I will admit that when Garrett was our head coach this was a very weak part of our team. For better or worse, big mike has got the boys playing as a team, and I can tell you It's been a long time since we've seen that around here...
So I think the biggest difference you will see is the overall team play and how players are constantly rotating in and out... I do think the Giants have the pieces to win though, and based on the cowboys ability to eat the cheese, I wouldn't at all be surprised... I honestly feel like this is a big game for the cowboys because this is one they would typically lose after winning three straight.. I also see that Danny Dimes is improving quickly so this bodes well for the future.

Imo, running up the gut is like a jab in boxing. You sorta need to do it. But not when it's so predictable and has so little chance for success..... That walk off TD run was so brilliantly schemed, out od a formation that had the Saints guessing (shotgun)..(I think it was K Smith but he ran in notion at ths snap across the hand off point and helped trap the LB that blitzed than gap to trap him out of the play....looked like one of the things the 49ers always do ) That's how you run it between the tackles even if you ars just probing in the first 15 or so scripted plays... Tight formation on every first down a gap under center you are just giving away a play and putting the series behind schedule.. Food for thought... A majority of the NYG explosive plays came on first down. That is a direct result of the "predictable" A and B gap runs earlier in the game. Question...did saquon have any negative runs this past weekend? 1st down or other

It took me a while to come around to Dak but he definitely has the goods. I can see the Cowboys winning on Sunday due to Elliot though. The Giants lost a big piece of their defense in Martinez and the Cowboys should be able to put up a lot of yards on the ground and win TOP. Jones is getting better on a weekly basis and I don't think we have seen everything that he is capable of doing. I can see a range of scenarios happening with the exception of the Giants winning in a blow out. This game can play out anywhere from the Cowboys winning by 10 or the Giants winning by a field goal.

Dak dropping back to pass might be the most terrifying sight in football right now. Not to mention their offensive line and two headed monster at running back. My stomach is already churning thinking about this game. Promise me you will make this exact same post every week.

OMG! We're playing the girls on Sunday.. Holy S**t If we play to our strengths, that means downfield throws, SQB catches balls in space, pressure Dak into stupid mistakes then we have a chance. If we go back to the future (ala 1983 or so) we will be squished pressuring the passer has been a big problem for us this year so far..

Dak is a very good QB, but imo, Dallas overpayed him. Your SB window is this yr, maybe next, after that, it shuts imo. Can't argue with that thought process. There are a few possible saving graces. They can restructure some contracts, they have to continue having good drafts to keep good players on the cheap, and they need to hit on some of the bargain FA's like they did this year (but not last). Dak has steadily improved every year. He's going through his progressions extremely well and making good decisions. Accuracy has been spot on. The best thing I see with Dallas though is the coaching. Not so much Fat Mac although he seems to have brought a different fighting mentality to the team (hard to describe but they're different). And the coordinators are obviously excelling as are certain position coaches. Only one that seems iffy is Fassel the ST guy. Take care ! Will be doing a long weekend out in the Hill Country in Fredericksburg near you in a couple of weeks. Take care. Bob

Elliot has been very good and so has the oline, but there is no telling what Kellen Moore will dial up, and i guess that is a good thing.... It's obvious that Danny is going to be good to my eyes, it's just the overall team and coaching that needs to be fine tuned. As I said in my previous post this is been the difference thus far with our team, the coaching has really made a crazy good difference in terms of execution, game planning, and player management. We have lots of big mike haters on our forum, but truth be told he was one most winning coaches in Green Bay's history and he understands how to put together a competitive team. He has made some bonehead clock management calls though, but overall he has really changed the team after finally getting a full off season to implement his concepts. I agree with your score predictions, but I have a feeling the Giants might pull this one out, I'm pretty sure the cowboys will get their best shot.

Food for thought... A majority of the NYG explosive plays came on first down. That is a direct result of the "predictable" A and B gap runs earlier in the game. Question...did saquon have any negative runs this past weekend? 1st down or other In the beginning of the game it was a brick wall It was also incredibly stupid to run up the middle every first down for the first 17 minutes of the game in a tight formation from center and basically throwing away a segment of the game...even it was just to set something up for later Good modern offenses don't waste any possession doing this, especially when they know most teams have firepower themselves We do this against Dallas it's over by halftime The responsibile thing to do was play out of shotgun early if they were going to do this and spread the formation... Thi s way you have threat of RPO(which you lose by playing under center)and you also have more threat of pass that the defense has to think about while thinning out the tackle box. You might be right but I do not necessarily agree. I would expect running into a brick wall early in the game. You call it a waste, I call it feeling out the D and setting up plays for later. At the end of the day, we as fans are just scratching the surface when it comes to football schematics. So much more we can learn

So much more we can learn Problem is feeling out to set up plays later in the game when your defense is suspect at best facing a top offense and probably having to play the refs as well you risk being out of the game by the 2nd quarter. Have to start quick even with the scripted play... Play out of shotgun in an 11 and dictate what personal the defense runs and see how they come out initially Guaranteed even if you run a or be gap on 1st down every time the first 5 times.. With added RPO action those brick wall runs become 4 or 5 yard runs

If we don’t win this game, our chances of going to the Super Bowl are over and they should start trading players immediately along with firing Gettleman and possibly Judge.

I think overall the coordinators and group coaches have done superlative work. To be honest I haven't watched more than a dozen snaps by the Giants. I have no idea what to expect from them. But I have been excessively surprised by what I've seen out of the Cowboys. They've made plays when they needed to and the only negative was the last minute drive by Tampon Bay with Brady for the winning FG. Otherwise they've made plays . Including that rookie DL. I think Parsons being at LB cuts down on some of those big chunk plays Dallas has been giving up. One thing the damage Darnold did with his legs hasn't escaped anyone's attention. OK I'm ramblin. Might be the Makers Mark.

I had to depend on the highlights for this info... KT short pass from Jones PA from under center Golladay long pass from Jones PA from under center Ross TD pass from Jones PA from under center KT long pass from Jones PA from under center Golladay long pass from Jones PA from under center Engram short pass from Jones PA from under center Rudolph short pass from Jones PA from under center Barkley short pass from Jones PA from under center all on first down. Barkley also got a pretty long run on 1st and 20 with Jones under center. Considering, I dont think Barkley had any negative runs and he got 4 yards per carry. Not bad production from under center, imo. This is just what I see..I dont know the schematics of anything.

Did you forget the 1st quarter where we were playing a drinking game in the game thread where every time they ran it on 1st down in a tight formation under center ? Still assenine .. under center takes away any threat of RPO Why did Garret stop playing out of shotgun on early downs this past game like this and pack it in tight ? RPO works,we gave a QB that is a legit threat with this so teams had to respect this. This is why he still sucks and is calling plays like its 2007 and not 2021. It's a pass to set up the run league and play out of shotgun league if you have a 1b that is a threat of RPO

You're a zoner for sure, it's a dead giveaway calling Mike "fat mike" LOL.. He gets the heat turned up on him too much, but all the cowboys players do right? I've watched a ton of football in my life and played some, I will say this about Big Mike, when he was in green bay I always hated playing them because he always had his teams composed and playing team ball.. They were always hard to beat, and he is bringing that same thing to dallas.. I think some people underestimate his value to managing a team as well as knowing what it takes to put together a winning squad..

All NFL teams strive to be great. You have to go through a lot to get there. The NYGs are at a point in which they may be, once again, turning a corner.
We shall see

Really our only chance is to get after Dak. Out of all our weakness that our weakest. I would let zeke run at least we can control the tempo of the game that way. Do the old Bellichek and let the offense think their run game is working and hopefully deter getting others weapons involved. We don't want them piling up points quickly. Let them run but not run way. We can't cover all thier weapons. On offense try our best to sustain long drives and not get into a shoot out.
