I think that's harsh, despite my questions about DJ's long-term future. can we compete with him, yes, win is a different story, at least thus far in his career the answer is no, even if the team isn'y good around him the QB shares much of the burden in winning or losing I think if for argument's sake on a scale of 1-10 for rating NFL QB's, Glennon is a 4, then Jones is like a 5- 5.5. Better, but not by that much. Any better remains to be seen He probably meant can't compete without Jones you know what, you're most likely right now that I reread it... my bad if that's the case

Glennon gave us no chance. To be fair, losing Golloday and Barkley was just as big. But we can't compete with Jones.I think that's harsh, despite my questions about DJ's long-term future. can we compete with him, yes, win is a different story, at least thus far in his career the answer is no, even if the team isn't good around him the QB shares much of the burden in winning or losing I think if for argument's sake on a scale of 1-10 for rating NFL QB's, Glennon is a 4, then Jones is like a 5- 5.5. Jones has been performing among the top echelon of QB's. Glennon in comparison to other backups is at the bottom of the league. And I'm not one of those pining for Cam Newton, Glennon was a good addition, he is what he is.

I think the lack of any real drop off is actually a credit to Toney. Clearly he was so good at getting open that even our back up QB could look his direction and hit him with passes. Easy to do when he is 5 yards from the closest defender and when you combine that with his great YAC production you can kind of see why there was little drop off. Give that dude the ball....if he isn't ejected. Glennon played well. Many back ups play well for short bursts. That's a good point, Toney looked like an absolute monster. The way he played can mask a lot of issues.

This is simply food for thought, but we really didn't seem to miss a beat when Glennon stepped in for Jones yesterday. wrong
