I had the same thought process as your response. I'm done with it and am willing to accept mediocrity. The Giants need a coach who has been there and done that. This team is over Judge's head and it's not all his fault but based on what has been told in the media, Gentlemen was getting players that the coaches wanted. Judge is part of the problem, Graham is part of the problem, Garrett is part of the problem. The Giants have fallen so far that they are literally the bud of jokes. At this point, the Giants are a mile from the point when they were 1 or 2 games under 500 (When Coughlin was canned). There is a big difference to missing the playoffs by 1-3 games and basically getting eliminated from playoff contention by October. This is a worse situation than the Mets. At least they stick around for a few months. At this point, the Giants are not only one of the if not the worst teams in Football. They could throw their hat into one of the worst teams in pro sports. It's that bad. So again where is this unicorn top established coach that has been there/done that that is waiting by the phone waiting for Mara to call him up ? Who fits this bill? Remember the game has changed bigtine the past 10 years so anyone that might have fit that bill in the 2012 will probably be coming in with a very dated mindset I can only think on Jim Harbaugh or the long time Bengals coach whose name I forgot.

He doesn't have to be a unicorn, he could also be from a top college team. I agree, I'm not interested in a coach that hasn't held the position in 10 years. OK College I can agree with Because there is no coach that you described with just NFL experience sitting out there that qualifies as "experience, been there done that " To me that is the Fishers,Fox's,ect of the world...and the game has passed those guys by College is a huge risk, too. It's amazing how much of a crapshoot it is finding good talent at all levels in the NFL (players, coaches, execs.)

So do we wana go with a young proven college start? Or maybe even Jim Harbaugh??

I agree shit maybe Jim Harbaugh or even Eric Bienemy. But other than that some other hot commodity college guy

I like Shaw the best. Good luck luring him away from that cushy job in Cali to NYC Metro. Little to no chance it happens. is he still at Stanford?

garrett would be meh.
the more I think on all this, the more I think a simple head coach change would do just about nothing right now. I think our roster sucks, we're still missing playmakers all over the field, and our defense is totally devoid of justin tucks or osi's or strahans, our offense never makes any real plays. im thinking more and more strongly just pull the trigger and bring in a new gm with a fresh approach to this roster above anything.
but i have no idea at this point, im just some aging dude.

Bradberry, Jackson, McKinney would play on any team. That's our secondary next year, I absolutely believe a better coach can get them playing to the level they should. Ojulari is the only real starting LB depending on Martinez's status next year. We could also use a better NT. The next staff has to figure out TE, but overall, our skill players are as good as anybody's, they've just never been on the field together.
