I remember thr first time I watched From Dusk till Dawn, I had no idea what it was about. I just happened to turn it on and started watching it. When the scene with Salma Hayek dancing started and everyone started turning into vampires I was completely shocked. It came out of nowhere, which was so great about it. yeah....no doubt. Campy movie for sure but I dig that and I like vamp movies to begin with. Selma Hayek....I mean come on!! For me a very entertaining movie. Check out Blood in the Sky if you haven’t already. Randomly came across it on Netflix awhile back, voices are dubbed over, but not a bad blood sucker movie. Solid 7/10

I with you I want to see good victories over some of the better teams and I've stated this before out here and I'll continue to claim the same as you.. I just commented to Vinnie about his negative rant that this win doesn't matter because he was keeping it real. That's his opinion and I feel it's wrong if it's also yours now then I will still claim a win is better than a loss.. The fact we have averaged between 3 and 6 wins a year since 2017..they are about as rare as sighting Big Foot these days... Why not enjoy it for a few days knowing an inevitable reality check is about to hit you in the face like a pyroclastic flow from Vesuvius did to the residents in Pompeii that day in August 79 AD... LOL ….

It's almost as if other people's optimism brings you and your family physical pain. There is so much disdain for people who don't absolutely hate the Giants the way you do. And this is not even really optimism, it's just being happy to get a win. I guess we should all be upset constantly until we win a superbowl, and even then we probably didn't win big enough. Critiquing a win and being honest about it doesn’t mean people aren’t happy about it. There were a couple bright spots but overall it was a disgusting, sloppy game between two bad teams and if this team wants to get better there are a lot of areas for improvement and there’s nothing wrong with pointing those out. I sure as hell hope Judge isn’t as laid back and ecstatic about some of these wins as some of you (no offense). A few pats on the back are deserved and then it’s time to go over everything that went wrong and how to fix it. I can hardly see Judge’s mentors, BB and Saban, having their teams play a game like that and be as gleeful as some of you. IMOF, after almost every win (including Alabama’s win last week), when they interview Saban or BB they almost immediately talk about areas they need to improve in. You don’t see them up there waving pom poms with illusions of what their team really is. Yeah, both come across as hard asses but that’s why they win. They don’t sugar coat shit and rarely settle for anything less than perfection. If being perceived as being upset most of the time because a fan or coach doesn’t want to settle for LOSING or mediocrity all the time than so be it but that’s why they continue to win. BB and Saban probably have more SB’s and College Championships than any other coaches yet they are seemingly always “upset constantly”, IMOF, they are both notorious for it. Coincidence? I don’t think so, being constantly “upset” is a large part of what it takes to win as many championships as they have.

Well first, I'm not ecstatic, just happy. I know it was a horrible game, and very sloppy, but I'm a fan, it's not my responsibility to fix the issues. My responsibility is to enjoy the games and enjoy wins. If a coach reacted to a win or loss the same as a fan, they don't deserve to be coaches (applies to players as well). It's their job to do their best, obviously they will focus on the things that need improvement. Even for myself, if I'm doing anything, basketball for example, I always focus on missed shots or mistakes. That's how teams get better. That has nothing to do with how fans feel about a win, and it doesn't mean I expect the team to not care about the negatives of a game as long as they win. By the way, I miss your optimistic posts, even if they were satirical

Kill Bill is definitely something you either love or hate. I love the old school Kung Fu movies that are dubbed and tacky so its perfect for me. The plot is sweet too. You can also connect the Kill Bill plot to Pulp Fiction when Umma Thurman's character is talking about a comic book series and matching each character to all the Kill Bill characters. Tarintino loves to intertwin his movies. The car that was in Pulp Fiction is the same main car in Reservoir Dogs. Forgot about Inglorious Bastards. Great movie there too. 1. Pulp Fiction 2. KillBill (both) 3. Inglorious Basterds 4. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood 5. Django Unchained 6. Jackie Brown ......(great movie) 7. Reservoir Dogs 8. The Hateful Eight 9. Death Proof
That's my list from best to worst.
I've seen Kill Bill probably 20 times. "I'm not bald, I shave my head, okay? You understand?" There isn't a QT movie that I won't watch if I'm flipping around and find one that's on. Quentin says he's going to make 1 more film and retire with an even '10'. That's so sad to think about. I was hoping for a third Kill Bill, which he once said he was going to make when the daughter of the Copperhead character was grown up.

Still think that other than the opening scene of Inglorious Basterds, (which was beyond brilliant) the scene with Uma in the Sushi bar was his best.

I know I can’t make a difference and coaches should act differently as fans but I can’t help but play the GM/Coach role in my head which is what most of these threads are about anyways, “what we do if” or giving our opinions on what we think needs to change. Anyways, my post wasn’t specifically directed against you or anyone else in particular, I was just trying to explain my perspective and point of view. BTW, he optimistic posts are sloooooowly creeping back after that win. Believe it or not, I’ve sprinkled a few in here and there. My most recent one was why I think we can beat the Chiefs and what may be funny to some is that I wasn’t even being satirical. I truly believe we can win and gave my reasons why. Thanks for the encouragement though, you’ll see more of them if we start beating better teams more consistently

We win our second game of the year and most fans pick on this team still. Enjoy the win guys! Why wouldn’t they? In case you haven’t noticed, this team has had the worst combined record in the league over the past 3 years until last week which put us one game over the Jets. We beat 6 teams last year, the majority of which were against back up QB’s and the one it wasn’t, we beat Seattle with our back up QB. 10 years and making one playoff game doesn’t instill a lot of confidence in most fans. We just beat a team that has 3 wins against teams who have 3 of the 4 worst offenses in the league and has a bottom 10 offense with a defense that was much worse than the stats suggest due to padding their stats against those 3 teams. We also beat the Aints who have the 4th worst offense in the league. I really don’t care about the injury excuses, every team has injuries and even when we had a good portion of our starters we still lost 3 games, one against one of the worst defensIve teams in the league, Washington. Watching the Giants beat some of the worst teams in the league doesn’t me all hot and bothered like some of you. Every year they beat bad teams and occasionally beat on or two good to decent teams. And every off season we hear more excuses and how close we are to being a playoff contender. I was hoping this year would be different than the past decade but it’s the same story, different excuses. Just like I woudn’t get excited over beating a one legged man in an ass kicking contest, I don’t get excited against beating a really bad team or beating a good to decent team every now and then. Been watching that for 10 years and where has it got us? Nowhere. It just gives Mara and homers more false confidence about the following season, only to rinse and repeat. Sorry for keeping it real. last time I checked were not the worst team in the division same record as Washington and Philly what makes them better? And what makes the game sloppy? We won 25-3

also it was a what if take on Sharon Tate like may be in this universe what if Sharon Tate wasn't killed! The scene in Leo DiCaprios house with the Manson clan and the Pit Bull and Brad pitt and Leo DiCaprio in the pool listening to Snoopy The Red Barron and The Flamethrower it was hilarious I was cracking up laughing at this scene! I was in a theater and the entire place was cheering during the entire scene. That is totally awesome!

If you watched it, you would know. I’m really not going to go play by play of the poor blocking, dropped passes, bad throws, mistackles, poor decisions, play calling, etc on both sides of the ball. Perhaps you don’t watch the better teams in the league play to understand the difference between a sloppy game and well executed game?

And this is not even really optimism, it's just being happy to get a win. I guess we should all be upset constantly until we win a superbowl, and even then we probably didn't win big enough. LOL I still think it was a great game for Jones working with such a bad oline and limited receivers and you pretending to think myself or any other fans are marking this down as some ecstatic fan claiming this was a coming of age game is completely delusional.. Have you been reading the comment? There are quite a few people who act like we just won the Super Bowl, complete over reaction which is typical. Just like when we almost beat Washington “our offense almost just beat one of the best defenses in the league, the O line looked great”. Come to find out Washington has one of the worst defenses in the league. “We just beat the Saints, our defense finally stepped up and turned the corner”. Saints have the 4th worst offense in the league. After the Cowboys game “We finally found our RT of the future, Peart played a great game. Now we just need to solidify the interior”. Peart follows it up with a shellacking. After the Panthers game “We just beat one of the best defenses in the league with back ups”. Never mind that they gave up 30 ppg in the prior 3 games and the 3 wins they had before that were against 3 of the 4 worst offenses in the league. I wouldn’t be the slightest bit surprised if we beat KC. For whatever reason they are not the KC we’re used to. They have a horrible defense (always have) so we should be able to move the ball on them but their offense is off. TN defense is ranked right below ours and they held them to 3 points. I don’t expect our defense to do the same but we could definitely give them a run for their money. They have a losing record just like we do. Don’t get me wrong, beating themmis a step in the right direction but I can only imagine the over reaction if we did win. Again, this isn’t last years KC, they have one more win than us, they’re a losing team. That’s “keeping it real” and not over reacting to one win or one or two good games by a player. If we could pull up old threads I would be more than happy to give you further examples and direct quotes of delusional comments based on such a small sample size. BTW, you’re right, I could be talking out my ass against about the coaches and if I am then we have even deeper issues.

The absolute best way to get right in the nfl is to play the New York giants in primetime. I don’t remember the last time we won a primetime game.
But, I’m gonna hope anyway. Can’t take that from me, it’s my right as a fan.

Even in the Hateful Eight, Jennifer Jason Leigh was tremendous. And who ever heard of Christoph Waltz before Inglorious Basterds.

All of this sounds great but you could be also talking out your ass about how the coaches are handling the games and what they are looking at for improvements.. Sorry just "keeping it real".. Perceived delusion works in both directions, were talking about people’s feelings here, not reality. (Not that everyone’s feelings aren’t important, they’re just not important or relevant to most of the rest of the world, Moms and loved ones notwithstanding). Over celebrating mediocre wins is no different than looking for reasons to kick dirt on them. It’s the same thing.

What he's especially good at is getting the most out of his actors.
Even in the Hateful Eight, Jennifer Jason Leigh was tremendous. And who ever heard of Christoph Waltz before Inglorious Basterds.
I liked him more in Django and like you I never heard of him before IB.. Well I thought his performance in Inglorious Basterds was one of the best I've ever seen on film. He stole that movie.

QT has said that was an almost impossibly complex role to play, and if he hadn't been able to find someone like Waltz to play it perfectly he would not have made the movie.

Tremendous performance.
