They still have issues, but yesterday is how they played defense last year. Guys were in positions to make plays/tackles. Good to see.

I agree the D made plays when needed.

I feel like the D deserves credit for making plays that demonstrated nothing more than minimum competence, and at times they failed to do even that.
Don’t get me wrong, we only won that game because of the D, but filthadelphia literally did everything possible to make that easy on them.

I thought the Giant D got run thru and run over but the secondary did a nice job on Smith and caught the gifts thrown their way. Talk about a gameplan costing a team a game, this was probably a good example.
Can't imagine Philly thinking that Hurts is anything more than a Taysom Hill type gadget guy.
Meanwhile Wentz has put up some nice numbers in Indianapolis.

They still won but it wasn't a defensive clinic by any means.

It’s good to have a quarterback who couldn’t hit the ground if he spiked the football. Hurts legs? Are dangerous. His arm? Is laughable. His best throws yesterday were to the opposing team. If Hurts plays pedestrian, and Nate Herbig doesn’t see the field. They win this game going away. Those two alone took points off the board. We still can’t generate pressure without blitzing, which will be dissected with a competent quarterback.

Giants’ run defense — Philadelphia ran the ball 33 times for 208 yards (6.7 yards per attempt). Amazingly, they didn’t run it even more. Jalen Hurts had eight carries for 77 yards (9.6 yards per rush) and Miles Sanders had nine carries for 64 yards (7.1 yards per carry). Why the Eagles chose to pass 31 times instead of running the ball 40+ times I will never know." www.bigblueview.com/2021/11/29/22806227/giants-vs-eagles-kudos-wet-willies-review-thanks-for-the-help-eagles-edition

And the Giants did it without two key starters in the secondary. Bradberry played as good a game as he's ever had as a Giant.

You want to have your stomach turn?
Rewatch the last drop by Reagor at the goal line. That would have been puke worthy loss! YIKES!

If you took at least of 2 of his INT's and drew 'em up and then asked, "where is the very last place you should throw the ball", he would have thrown it to that exact spot.

Why is Boston Scott turning into Walter Payton every time we play against him....
Also, thanks for that fumble Boston! Otherwise we probably lose in soul crushing fashion as usual.

Take the 77yds away from the QB & we allowed 128 yds between the 2 RBs, 64 yds each. Had the 208yds been between the 2 RBs, then I'd say we got "gashed" in the run game. I blame the DC for not assigning a LB to spy the QB all game & hit him every single time they RPOed. After 3-4 rock solid hits on Hurts, they woulda ceased that crap right there & then.

The best defense is playing a terrible quarterback. Watching Jalen play, hurts my eyes.

Agree with this. They actually started doing the bold (just waited too darn long to start doing it imho!) in the latter part of the 2nd half and actually got hurt by it when Hurts handed off to the backs instead. Just not a banner day for the run defense any way you slice it.

This is two games the defense took what was given to them. better than the way they've been doing, I'll take it.

While I agree about Scott running all over us all the time.... let's give credit where credit is due... it was a forced fumble caused by Lawrence... it's not like he just dropped the football.

Credit to Graham, they shut down a offense coming in HOT putting up 44 against the Lions, 30 against a good Broncos Defense and 40 against the Saints
Yeah it wasn't perfect, gave up a lot of Running Yards and if Reagor holds on to at least one of those Passes he Dropped, we would've lost 14-13. However, to hold that Offense to only 7 was still impressive. Forced 4 Turnovers, not sure what more you can ask for from your Defense honestly

Man, Danny Shelton SUCKS
I was totally wrong about that guy... I thought he could be a nice, planet of a man in the middle of our defense. Turns out he plays like a tackling dummy on skates

I want a nose tackle that can control the LOS and free up space for our 2nd level defenders, while our DEs get single coverage. Dexter Lawrence has been a disappointment in my eyes, I really expected ALOT more from him and I was a BIG fan of his coming out of college

All he had to do after the catch was lean back & another heartbreaking last second loss to the Philthies. After all the yrs of lucky, crazy breaks that they have had against us, it was about time the breaks & luck went our way. Smeagol fans crying on their forums bout how they gifted us the game must have dementia considering all the games we've gifted them over the past yrs/decades. With the D creating 4 TOs, the O shoulda put up at minimum, an extra 10pts & we wouldn't have had to endured the drama of the final minute.

The Giants were an easy catch a way from losing this game at the end while surrendering over 200 yards to their running game.. Not sure where the praise is coming from..

Since 17' any win is "praised". This is only our 22nd win in the past 5 yrs. Going back to last season, KC has won 21 games in the past 1.5 seasons.
