Good day gentlemen, The pathetic state of affairs with the New York Giants have brought me back to the boards. I was 50/50 on keeping Judge next year. I like the guy but not enough results. The lack of balls this season has really been a bit much for me to swallow. The Glazier report that he lost the lockerroom is a huge sway for me to want him fired. I am not for reporters giving these type of reports without names making the quotes but when it comes to the Giants and Jay - he aways has his finger on the pulse. Another reason why I would have entertained Judge for one more year was because no coaching prospects enticed me. Harbough is a pipe dream, we have no shot and not sure I'd want him even if we could get him. Bienemy is going to be a flop, no interest there. Flores being fired from the Dolphins today though is a huge swing for me. I think hes a damn fine coach that could actually help us get in the right direction. Also, I am 50/50 on DJ. He shows signs and he typically tries to do too much and gets murdered for it. Nobody could have performed behind that line. Its been the same problem for the last decade and Eli had to deal with it too. I think at this point we have to keep DJ though because this draft is soft, we're not going to attract any big name QB. Some of you will say Wilson but this team is FAR away from being competitive so sending a ton of assets for an aged QB would be completely counter productive. The reason I'm even mentioning DJ is because I think the reason Flores got canned was because he was a Tua guy. Maybe theres a way to get Tua on the cheap. Not sure if I am a Tua guy but it seems like Miami's moves are based on an organizational shift to go get DeShaun Watson. I would love getting Flores. But he's going to get another HC job before we even get a GM.

You have a valid point in Miami pursuing Watson and giving up on Tua. Could be a reason to hire Flores. Other than another long time Patriots coach that coached along Judges.
One of several mistakes by Gettlemen. He should have left Manning play another year, then draft Herbert. The team wanted Herbert, until he opt for another year at Oregon. Then chose Jones. Jones could be a decent qb with a much better line.
[br Piece of Shit Gettleman “The thought that Eli can’t play anymore is hogwash” Very next season reaches for Jones” We can make a GETTLEMAN’s greatest hits or fails and it would be pure comedy!

why isn't mara flying in Harbaugh to NY right now? Yea, I can understand how some people would want Harbough but I'm not one of them. I don't know, something about him. I guess he would be an upgrade from what we got now. I am just not sure how good Harbough really was. He had a super underrated all time defense in his time in SF with an OLine and Frank Gore. Plus everybody on here seems to be clammering for not being an old curmudgeon team. Harbough plays 1970s football

I'm sorry, but Flores being unemployed and Judge still having a job reeks of the NFL's diversity issues. Can someone explain to me how a guy loses to 3 coaches that were fired and he keeps his job? HOW....HOW???? Yeah, the NFL is as fair and balanced as Fox news There are definitely diversity issues but I don't think this is really an example of it. Flores will have a job in a few weeks as a head coach and Judge will be back to coordinating either this year or next.

The fact that Joe Judge hasn't been fired yet and Flores has is criminal.

And that the owner is.

Hey Mattmeyerbud, haven't seen you around here in a minute. Then again, I'm not around here all that much. Great thread.
I'm not a fan of the Belicheck coaching tree element, nor am I a fan of the let's change coaches every couple of years aspect, but I would absolutely go after Flores. I think Miami made a big mistake and when a competitor makes a mistake, you gotta pounce.

I agree but as somebody else said, how are we going to attract him right now? Hes the only coach out there worth anything, in my opinion. I don't care about coaching tree at this point. He has his own film out there now as a HC and I likey

Ah yes you seem to be correct. I don't know where I saw the reverse. I think it was a Schefter or somebody like that.

Decent defense, some people may like the idea of Toney and Golladay and we have a draft stocked with picks.

Flores is gonna go fast and it looks like he'll be successful.
Good on him. I'd love to have him here.

Flores is gonna go fast and it looks like he'll be successful. Good on him. I'd love to have him here. I'd love to have him here too. And an interesting caveat with Flores is that there is a chance they could retain Graham if they hire him, since he previously worked under Flores and left on good terms to come here. That would be pretty cool.
