Didn't know too much about him before but I really like he was able to build both the scouting and analytics department from scratch. We'd need to do that here. Only question is would the Maras give him full control or does Fredo continue to do Fredo stuff?

Analyzing an NFL executive is like dissecting a snowflake. It’s difficult to get a read on these guys, it’s all a crapshoot.

He sounds perfect for what we need.
Have no faith he’ll sign here.
He’ll get one shot, don’t know why he’s pick here for his once in a lifetime opportunity.

Right now everything is pointing to they will, they fired GM and Coach they are not granting assistant GM Abrams an interview think the writing is on the wall they want meaningful change. and all the Dino's in this franchise I think are on notice .

Because GM's jobs are a rare opportunity, and he may never get another. And if he is being given full control, why wouldn't he? His success is completely in his own hands.

Well there are 3 opening the Vikings is really a good one, the Bears or the Giants we have all there draft capital and we have defense and special teams good enough to win with. He is not the only highly touted Candidate out there Ed Dodds / Ryan Poles / Joe Horitz / Joe Schoen / Elliot Wolf /Monti Ossenfort /there are several others. The Giants are a good place to land ownership craves stability if a guy trusts his skill he can be here for a life time. In the Giants perfect world we wouldn't be doing this right now Jerry Reese would still be here stacking drafts. this is a place where the GM and coach if they produce will have unwavering support from the owners, If Judge were as good as Flores he would still be here don't think it's as and as people think.

The giants Gm job is still an attractive position because of the market. Any man who can come in here and turn this shit show around will be held in high regard. Now just hire the right guys. I like schoens track record with the draft, and If he brings daboll with him even better.

I’m surprised at how fast we went from a blow up rebuild dumpster fire with no o line needing a new QB with a minimum of two years of cap hell, to a rare opportunity to work with a league renowned scouting team and a hands off ownership group that doesn’t interfere in football ops. (Admittedly I added the bit about the FO) Wonder which is our external reputation with GM candidates.

Ownership craving stability and proving it with actions are two different things. Keeping Gettleman for 4 years helps, the HC situation is a counter to that point. Most of those candidates aren’t on sinking ships. The upside of the position is at least matched by the downside. We can’t despise how this team looks/performs for the last 5 years, complain how ownership has managed things during that time, and then turn on our heels thinking none of that matters to GM candidates because you could work here a long time if it all comes together. It’s a tear down. I haven’t forgotten the news stories I’ve read in the last 3 years saying our talent evaluation is out of date, our use of analytics compared to other franchises is way behind, and our FO is filled with Mara family members and friends instead of football execs with arms length focus on winning. I want to be wrong, but I think there’s a cold shower coming.

I think they are showing that they are willing to join the modern era of football so far by getting GM and Coach clear and not even Granting Abrams the opportunity to state his case. I hope it continues but I agree the jury is still out.

Supposedly with a new guy in charge they can clear some much needed space by parting ways with Martinez / Bradberry / Rudolph / Shep. will give the Giants 30 mill in cap space, and 20 mill or more in dead money as a fan who gives a crap about dead money it isn't ours and it will be off the books after this year. Then they will have a full restart in 2023. They can do some of it or none of it to get some cash in here.

Analyzing an NFL executive is like dissecting a snowflake. It’s difficult to get a read on these guys, it’s all a crapshoot. For us...it is. We have no idea who actually has say or makes final decisions with most organizations. But for people in the NFL...they should know. If they don't know who is talented or not...they are asleep. Which is likely the Mara's.
