I'm leaning toward no. It seems like a Mara influenced interview.

Might help keep him around as the DC.

.....or the next HC might want his own DC.
Graham has been a + DC in the middle of chaos on this team.
Not sure how that translates to being a HC but he's earned consideration here or elsewhere.
Sadly, he might build his resume faster with a deep playoff ready team elsewhere. Would hate to lose him but he needs to look out for himself.

I think he earned the courtesy, much like Spags got after the BMac debacle.

What I find interesting is 3 African American candidates even in this day and age that is not that common. Most teams interview 1 African American candidate to appease the Rooney Rule.

I think he earned the courtesy, much like Spags got after the BMac debacle. If the team was run the way the Graham ran his side of the ball they might have won more, he had done a lot with a little Graham is a good coach and might be a head coach someday. Would rather see an offensive mind as our next coach, I wouldn't mind seeing Graham back as Dc with a stud ILB and another Edge

If they hire from within, they are going to get crushed.
I like Graham, but he's not getting the Giants HC job.

I think Graham deserves an interview as HC. And as already been said possibly it would help him maintain the DC job. I wouldn't mind having him as the DC with a top edge in the draft, and hopefully a solid run stopper at nose. And another tough ILB.

I hope he is at least retained as DC. Very unsure about him as a head coach, but you never know! The guy seems to have a great eye for talent. Maybe he'd assemble a good staff? He did make the necessary adjustments after his adapted scheme sucked early in the season. That is commendable.
I feel like losing him as DC is (on paper) regressing. Those players seem to respond to him. And he seems to know how to get the most out of his players. Really don't want to watch another Bettcher-style defense lol

He's a good Defensive Coach but if we want a fresh start I would say no.

I think he's an excellent DC, and I would LOVE to keep him. But right now, I want a more offensive minded HC since our O is in SUCH shambles

Who are the 3 Black American HC candidates being interviewed? Is Flores one of them? He's hispanic/Latino. Still a minority I had this conversation with my cousin when I was 20 and he was in middle school he had no idea there were black Latin people i told him didn't you learn in like the third grade about Slave trading in the Caribbean Islands it wasn't just North America. for instance two Baseball players who are black or Afro Dominican Republic are Big Papi and Alfonso Soriano and El Duque Orlando Hernandez who is my all time favorite Yankees pitcher is also black or Afro Cuban! so your right any minority counts as a Rooney rule interview whether African American Latin, Asian, Indian or Middle Eastern. two examples is Ron Rivera in Washington who is Latino and Jets head coach Robert Saleh who is middle eastern. just interviewing Saleh or Rivera counts as the Rooney rule and rightly so! when I argued with my cousin and tried to tell him about slave trading in the Caribbean I yelled at him and said what are they teaching in schools these days? I learned this in the 3rd grade...

I like Graham a lot. I think he has HC potential. He has shown an ability to adapt his system to his player's strengths, and he's a qualified internal candidate. He is likely to draw interest from other teams this off season, he deserves the opportunity.

I believe that internal interviews don't count against the Rooney rule, but we covered that with Flores and Frazier, so it's immaterial to Graham's interview. I think they just felt he deserved it, with the way he ran the D, given the personnel issues. I'm sure the way he carried himself in the building the last 2 years played into it as well, which I have no visibility to.

I would not rush to hire anyone Dog.
Let the process play out. Anyone who wants to jump ship should go.
Didn't Mara admit to rushing a bit to sign Gettleman and even McAdoo? Take Rhule as another example. Who's upset he got away from us besides Carolina's owner?
