Wednesday 11:45. think they have been pretty busy getting HC interviews , probably for him going over the program reaching out to people he wants to bring in and what needs fixing. |

Want to get to know Schoen better and and a presser helps, but let’s take what’s said with a grain of salt.
First, any comments about the draft throw in the trash. Tis’ the season to lie to protect your board.
Next, even if he thinks a particular player sucks (if he’s a good leader) he’ll never hint to it in front of the media.
Finally, I think fans under appreciate how important managing the media is in NY. It’s a far more important issue than “telling the truth to fans”. A simple stupid rumour in our personal lives can disrupt exiting relationships that we’ve had for decades.. Multiply that impact by 10,000x when you say “we’re open to options at QB” (just an example).
You ratchet pressure and challenge players in private. There’s enough organic pressure with negative headlines and performances without the people that should be supporting your development piling on.

Interview with Shaun O'Hara up on youtube: Thanks for posting this. He's exactly as I hoped. Many similarities to Beane. Humble yet exudes confidence. You can see he's anxious to get going. If his pressers are like Beanes, you will not feel gypped like we did with Gettlemans. I am more confident we got the GM right than I will be with whoever the coach is at first. Just going to have to trust this NFL insider to get us the best coach. Looks like Mark Bavaro and the NYG legacy helped us land this highly sought after candidate. |
