Dave Gettleman said the exact same thing. Only difference, Joe didn’t use corny cliches and the term hog molly. The offensive line has been offensive for a decade. We’re way past the point of a priority, it has become an urgency right now.

Clearly, the team responsible for this over the last decade plus wasn’t good at it..in fact, they were horrible. I hope they clean house up and down the org and start fresh with staff that have proven track records over the past 5-10 years.

This franchise outside a few players, have never been good at developing lineman.

Let's hope our 1st 3 picks are OL!!!
I'd LOVE to see us walk away with Ekwonu, Linderbaum, and Kenyon Green after 2 rounds

He said it, now make it happen. The last guy said it too and then went in a different direction until Thomas.

Lemiuex's season never got off the ground, so we have no idea how that would've turned out either. Bad luck combined with bad drafting.

Tough kid, who transitioned to center fairly quickly. However, you have to treat him as not an option. You look at our line objectively, we need four players. This will not be an easy fix either. For we have other glaring issues that need to be addressed.

Ability to evaluate talent is what I’m hoping changes.

Well, JR told us that the talent was there on the OL. He was delusional.
DG said the first priority was to fix the OL. He quickly forgot that priority which makes him incompetent.
Schoen has a pretty low bar to work off of. Let's get it right, please.

Some of those same scouts are still there in the building collecting checks. A forensic audit needs to be done by Schoen without John Mara walking in his shadow. Lets see just how much latitude Mara gives the new GM.

“The offensive line will be a priority as we move into the off-season.” - Joe Schoen Says every Giants fan for the past 10 years for the captain obvious question. I'll note his Bill's team didn't get much out of Allen until they surrounded him with talent.

thats all we can do is hope at this point how many previous HCs also said that fixing the O-Line was their #1 priority??? Oh yes, all 3 of them Macadoo, Shermur and Judge all promised to get it fixed. And DG was all about getting those hog mollies as he called them bec winning as he put it begins and ends in the trenches. Well we couldn't run or pass bec the guys in the trenches on that side of the ball stunk. And on the other side they have not gotten pressure on the QB for any of those 3 coaches. Result: Epic fail So of course this new GM says his #1 priority is to fix the line to give Jones a fair shake. Ill believe it when I see it

I remember lots of people being happy that will fell to us in round 2.

It's both who they pick and how to get the best out of them is the flaw they have. Schoen seems like a nice guy but I don't care about smoke and mirrors lets see the team improve some. Lets see the ship head in the right direction but its not gonna happen overnight but we should see some improvement IF this GM has talent and Mara stays the hell out of the way!

I didnt expect the Schoen to say anything else. I did like what Mara said about them screwing it up for Jones in every aspect. With that said I dont think Jones is a slam dunk even with a good OL. Jones, all on his own, still has every thing to prove. He has some good tools but at this point he has shown he isnt very good at using them consistently. I used to be very optimistic. I am have zero optimism. They have drained it all from the last 10 years

Since the Giants have whiffed for 10+ years in Oline drafting, with the exception of Andrew Thomas, they have very little choice but to commit both early picks to the Oline.
If they can trade back, as has been mentioned, and still draft the center of everyone’s dreams, that would be great. But they have to come away with at least 2 blue chip prospects for the Oline.

thats all we can do is hope at this point Joe Schoen: “The offensive line will be a priority as we move into the off-season.” Dave Gelleman: “We gotta fix the oline let’s be honest, let’s not kid each other, big men allow you to compete, and that’s what we’ve gotta fix.” So, we are all very familiar with the talking phase. We don't have any familiarity with the implementation/delivery phase. We've been scarred as a fan base and have earned the right to be skeptical. It has nothing to do with Schoen. It is simply that many of us are in "show me" mode.

I am keeping my avatar until they prove it wrong....lol
