He said it on Tiki’s show. That presser was harder than doing the job. I don’t mind the nervousness. That’s an acknowledgement of how important the job is and EVERY GIANTS employee was watching that presser. He new re-routing the culture started with that speech. Again, most of us that work have people that are really talented colleagues and some that are a waste of air. It not always obvious which is which and you can scare off talent by coming in saying “there’s going to be big changes around here” when you’re already really proud of the work you do. Like I said, organizational management isn’t easy or black and white. I could discuss this topic for hours, there’s no “just do this”, it’s a 1,000 little things that need to be done right, not 2 big ones.

All we have is hope. I dont not like what I hear, but until it starts showing, he is just another body. He is going to have a hard time getting a HC to step in this organization after the past 6-7 years.

Completely agree. When you think about it if you’re Joe how do you tell a good scout from a bad scout and at what point on your timeline are you able to make that call? Right after you meet him? Doubt it. After you evaluate their decions and how they work as part of a team? Jeez you probably need months or longer to figure that out.

I cant refute that, really, I like that hes not delivering all this false hope, but the bottom line, until this team actually plays well, onfield in a regular season, we can only hope indeed.

everyone knows what needs to be done on the NYGs. Getting it done is a whole other thing. They have no choice but to keep trying

He will make the decisions over time. But I think fans think he’s going to make changes faster than he actually will. Because of our passion fans want changes made for change’s sake because “do something”. Joe’s focus won’t be on “do something” it will be on “do the right thing”. I don’t think he’ll care as much how much time it takes compared to making the right decision. He’s already setting that tone in my eyes. Build around Jones vs get a new QB. He may want a new QB but he won’t make that call until he’s worked with Jones and his chosen coaching staff himself.

I like the optimism but can you really trust Mara to keep his hands OFF the operations? I don't. He is the main reason we have sucked for since the SB. Maybe Tish could interceded

Yep, you have to go in and identify the strengths and weaknesses in your organization and surround yourself with people that will make you successful and get the most out of people. Realize that you have to have smart people that compliment each other to get things done and not think that you have to do everything, and also be willing to lose those people later on when they get promoted elsewhere(which should be a moment of pride). I think one of the biggest issues we have had at so many levels was the inability to turn potential into realized potential. I went on a tangent.
