This so called GM in waiting (Abrams) should take that queue and go see if anyone will hire him into their organization to spin his "magic."
Good luck with that one.
This is very exciting news for us on a number of levels.

This is a solid addition. I always liked how the Eagles front office did business. What’s even better is, this means Mara’s brother from another mother could be on his way out. Fumigate the whole front office, it’s time we rid ourselves of the dead weight.

If he had anything to do with Reagor at WR over Jefferson and company, revoke his WR input. The Eagles have done well at building other areas though lol

Sounds good. 👌. Resume looks sharp. Business degree, law school. 10 years as a scout…
Hopefully he can find some eagles-esque olinemen out there in the ether.

Welcome Aboard Brandon! Only 33 years young so more young creative minds added to the Organization and I guess Abrams will be taking another position with the Organization

The more Schoen-ites in the org the better. Need a full compliment to bulldoze the Maras and their loyalists out or to the sidelines.

I like the move. Next up VP of PP
Schone needs to configure the FO that he has no equal in it.

Adding football guys who know how to spot talent is never a bad thing. This is finally starting to point up, all they need now is a solid D coordinator and they’re set.

Capologist.. Which he is actually good at albeit.. This new guy probably has more power than Fredo We had 52 players dressed for the last game because we would have been over the cap if 53 dressed. And look at the mess 2022 is. I would argue the stance that Abrams is actually good at his one role. The GM picks the player and does the basic contract negotiation. Player and GM agree to 100 million over 5 years (20 million a year). The 'cap expert' finds a path through the cap situation to fit that contract in. If we don't have 20 million this year, they might convert the year one salary into a signing bonus because the accounting rules allow you to prorate that 20 million dollar signing bonus over the entire 5 years, making the 'cap cost' for year one only 4 million dollars. His job is to massage the cap accounting rules to make things fit. If the GM keeps spending and giving out overpriced contracts to bad players, that's not the fault of the 'cap expert'. He's effectively the clean up guy, Gettleman makes a mess, Abrams cleans it up as best he can. Given just how badly Gettleman messed things up in this regard, is just more proof that Abrams is VERY good at his job.

He has been the bail out man for 2 GMs spending sprees trying to make them work for the present and the future. Hopefully Abrams gets to work for a competent GM this time who isn't gonna need to burry the cap to save his ass. And put Abrams on the spot.

Gettleman wasn't making contract offers in a vacuum. He would have to consult with Abrams about the cap, contract structure, etc before making an offer. You have to wonder if Abrams like my (probably not so well executed)Davey and Goliath parody with Abrams and Gettleman was happening and this old senile idiot just ignored him . Remember Gettleman was Abrams' boss.We have all had at least one superior that would make disastrous decisions you just knew would blow up in his face and there was no reasoning,to make up for previous bad decisions made prior(how many times do I need to rehash passing on AJ Brown in 2019 was what ultimately lead to the horrible contract for Golladay as a major example)

And Gettleman (and Reese) made horrific FA signings. But I still can't believe the two of them were going rogue with these contract offers without consulting their cap specialist. Oh I'm sure they consulted Abrams probably told both its a bad idea and was told I don't care, figure it out and get it done.

It defintley seems like he was taking input from the coaches. Kenny Golladay also seems like a Garrett influence as he fit the size, speed and physicality traits of Garrett's past WRs (TO and Bryant). I do believe Joe Judge was heavily involved in all these moves. So much so that many posters believed that it was finally Judge's team after the uncanny moves and draft picks made last year.

Now let’s cross our fingers, our toes and any other extremities that the other cronies from the rotten apple Mara tree are demoted to a parking attendant.
