Maybe this has been answered already or is just a dumb question, but why do we have 2 players with the #5 jersey? too many players and not enough numbers. Happens a lot in camp

We won and that's what matters. I'm rooting for Daboll to remain undefeated.

banks just said Brain Daboll is going to let it run out why the **** would Banks think that Great question. Listening to Papa and Banks fit perfectly with NBC's coverage of down and distance.

Troubling start for Neal. Looks like the reports from camp were accurate. Series 1 1st block pancake 2nd block easy seal 3rd block enough time, fell on inside move as Jones ran 4th block chased Barkley run to the left...no factor 5th block screen lead block...runs well and leads the way for Slayton 6th block beauty pass play seal block for a quick slant 7th block beauty pass blocking, keeps his balance this time on the inside move 8th block has his guy perfectly, blitz to his left not his guy..Jones read as per the usual not there 9th block another great block as he is passed a block and rides him easily across the los 10th block over extends and falls... defender non factor on the play11th block drives his block 4 yards forward 12th block easy block on a drop by the overpaid receiver 3-0 Giants Series 2 1st block gets off late but corrects well and keeps the rush in front 2nd block a down line block...people move as he hits them 3rd block quick feet and easy pass pro 4th block down block and extends past the block...sack. Not the correct blocking assignment as this is one the OC...a RT should not have to block where the center is5th block speed rush but kept well outside and Jones now looking horrific in any off script play due to pressure 6th block good pass block and survives a club Punt Report from Aris - he's a starting right tackle in the NFL and was a vast pleasant improvement from having to watch Solder

That play where he got of late. he got off real late.. I was thinking my guy, are you even paying attention out there? Neal running down field for slayton had me stoked, when was the last time we saw an olinemen on the giants do that!?!

So no Toney or Robinson
Did Neal or Thibs get any reps?
Well just saw post abt mine abt Neal so that answers that question

I wonder if flott could play CB 2 at somepoint this season if Robinson is still struggling.

So no Toney or Robinson Did Neal or Thibs get any reps? Toney was out, hairline fracture of the fingernail. Robinson was dressed, didn’t see him get any snaps. Thibodeaux and Neal were as good as advertised.

Thibs had a couple series too. Nothing terrific but ok. Toney being managed and not sure why Wandel didnt get any snaps. Next game the starters will play more I assume so both should be in for that

Did not get to watch the game this evening but recoreded it. Having gone through a smattering of the posts it appears as if I did not miss much. Seemed a tad bit negative but it happens since the team has been bad for so long; it's what happens, I guess.
So Jones was just okay, Tyrod is truly a back up at this point and Webb is simply a coach still playing... not very promising. I will watch tomorrow and see for myself. I am rooting for DJ but I just have this inclination that Dabol and Schoen are going to select a new QB next year regardless of what Jones does this season.
Seems like we have the makings of a few diamonds in the rough... which is some encouragement.

Yeah there's upside in Robinson. CB is a hard position to play in the NFL. you're right, there will be growing pains, just worry about that considering how winks defense is run.. Who knows

Wow. Incredible. And useless at the same time.

Kid's had a good camp, I wouldn't draw conclusions off the first quarter of preseason.

That's certainly possible and a bit a scarier than the previous option.

Does he have reasons to be bad sure, but he was bad against, a team that is not known to have a good passing game... these are valid reasons to be concerned. we want to be positive and optimistic, but tonight was concerning.. the good news is the end of the season is a long ways way. lots of time to get better and accustomed to the game

Much more than what meets the eye to be seen in that pre season game. I agree with the late Dan Reeves--when they stop keeping score we will not care about trying to win, period. Instill that culture. Yes, some ugliness but there are legit battles for roster spots taking place. With all the newness in the organization I thought it looked high effort from the players and professional from the coaching staff. Dabolls comment from early in camp--"I just want Daniel to go to the right place with the football". For the most part mission accomplished while keeping things simple. Lots of bright spots and of course concerns. CB is obvious. If it was any league but the NFL Galloday would be cut tmw. It's just not going to change. He is taking up valuable reps and targets from much more dependable youngsters. Let us remember that signing was made by the same GM that thought Glennon was a smart choice for back up QB. Webb knows the deal, he's a football geek who knows Dabolls offense inside and out. Mahommes recently talked about how great the QB room was when they were together. He will play a very valuable role as practice squad QB, and tutor to DJ. Meanwhile he is setting himself up as at least an offensive coach while working with the likes of Daboll and Kafka. It felt different to me and I think we are headed in the right direction .
