INJURY REPORT There are no official injury reports in the preseason, but coach Brian Daboll announced this morning that the following players will likely not suit up against the Bengals: OL Ben Bredeson, OL Jon Feliciano, RB Matt Breida, RB Gary Brightwell, TE Andre Miller, TE Ricky Seals-Jones, OL Jamil Douglas, OL Shane Lemieux, WR Darius Slayton, WR Kadarius Toney, DL Leonard Williams, OLB Elerson Smith, T Garrett McGhin, OL Joshua Ezeudu, S Dane Belton, CB Cor'Dale Flott, CB Rodarius Williams, and OLB Jihad Ward. WR Sterling Shepard, C Nick Gates and T Matt Peart remain on the Physically Unable to Perform list and will not suit up.
GARCIA TO START AT CENTER With the injuries to Feliciano, Douglas, Lemieux, Bredeson and McGhin, the Giants will have a new starting center for Sunday's game against the Bengals: Max Garcia. The eighth-year veteran played in 93 games (52 starts) for the Broncos and Cardinals since his selection in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Garcia played 15 games (11 starts) for Arizona last year, four of which came at center (the other seven at right guard). He had success at the center position in his final year at Florida, as well, where he started all 13 games for the Gators and was voted Second-Team All-SEC.

hoping many of these injuries are preseason precautions.
Like if the it was real game on Sunday some of these guys would be playing.

Just want to see offensive and defensive systems continue to be excellent. Nice if some new offensive lineman play well.
Giants should be able to move the ball running and converting on short passes.
Would be disappointing if any future starter plays bad. If the Giants avoid that, all's good.
Don't want to see Bengals convert on 55 percent or more of passes thrown.

I wonder if the Giants beat the Bengals by two touchdowns, 28-14, iwill the skeptics here start to turn around? Probably not. Will say the Giants did not face the Bengals starters, and will ignore the fact that the Giants offensive line was decimated going into the game.

Hopefully we see both sides build off of what we saw against New England. See if the starters get more than 2 series. Its hard to judge them on that small a sample size.

Good test for Jones to see if he can make something with the 7th depth center in front of him. Would like to see him get the ball down the field and keep the offense moving. On D would like to a few sacks and good CB play

Why can’t we learn what Lemieux’s toe injury is? Is it turf toe? Did he tear a tendon?

Why can’t we learn what Lemieux’s toe injury is? Is it turf toe? Did he tear a tendon? From What I read it is not a toe injury. It is a foot injury. It is rumored he was stepped on pretty hard.

Want to see Wandale Robinson touch the football today and thats really all. Will be hard to judge the OL with 2/5 starters down.

I expect Robinson and Beavers to show out today. They are playing their hometown team so extra motivation today. Beyond that, I'm just hoping for health.

Will say the Giants did face the Bengals starters, and ignoring fact that the Giants offensive line was decimated going into the game. Success and struggles by starters are always overstated in preseason football. It is pretty silly that the Jones and Golladay play got front page type of coverage. I still remember the Lions going 5-0 in the preseason and 0-16 in the regular season. I wouldn't care if the Giants won or lost by 30. It just doesn't matter. I will call it a win if they get through the game without any significant injuries. The only thing about the preseason that does matter is that it gives bubble players an opportunity to showcase their skills.

I'm optimistic but its a preseason game and until they win consistently in the regular season they are what they are. A pre season game will not change my mind good or bad.

We need to win this game by at least 2 touchdowns for me to be convinced....of nothing. Let's hope, being it's a manginess in the win loss column, pre season vanilla game...allow us to again hope, Jones starts to fit into the scheme and understands the route concepts and the receivers no matter what name, gain play calling separation....while the offensive line that is in tatters on the IOL, know the play call blocking schemes and do a decent enough job with their personal level of talent in blocking abilities to gain some confidence. Any fan who regards these games in win and losses needs to be taken into a room and slapped around like the monkey minded fool he is.

Well, in name...not sure in personal...but still, the name Bengals suggest we NEED this win.

We don't need to win by two touchdowns. As a prior poster pointed out whether we win or lose irrelevant to how the Giants do in the season.
Give the Giants some slack. The team is a work in progress. The season hasn't started.
Too many posters have a myopic view both on the team and it's players. They want to see their pre-conceived notions of players confirmed.
We just need to continue to see that our offensive and defensive schemes are solid and that we have good players who can execute both.
We don't want to see excessive penalties as that's on the coaching to some degree.
If a player fumbles the ball that's on him as are missed tackles.
It's pre-season. No reason to reach conclusions about players based on limited play. But most here will do so.

The first string offense struggles in preseason every year, and follows it up struggling in the regular season. I like what I saw vs the Pats but that was vs their backups. Let's see how they do vs some 1st string defenders on Cincy.

All Offense and not one defensive player, interesting. Blake Martiniz is not on the list. I would be surprised if we see him in the game. I found this ................. The 18 players already ruled out, per Dan Duggan of The Athletic, are as follows: RB Matt Breida RB Gary Brightwell WR Kadarius Toney WR Darius Slayton TE Ricky Seals-Jones TE Andre Miller OL Jon Feliciano OL Ben Bredeson OL Josh Ezeudu OL Shane Lemieux OL Jamil Douglas OL Garrett McGhin DL Leonard Williams LB Elerson Smith LB Jihad Ward CB Cor’Dale Flott CB Rodarius Williams S Dane Belton In addition to that unbelievable tally, the Giants will also be without the following players: OL Nick Gates (PUP) OL Matt Peart (PUP) WR Sterling Shepard (PUP) WR Robert Foster (IR) OL Marcus McKethan (IR)

"The Skeptics" bro, this team has been in the gutter for the past ten years. C'mon. Its going to take more than a preseason win against backups to start convincing most fans that this team can be anything more than it should which is a young team, with talent and depth lacking at key positions, talent that lacks experience and a brand new coaching staff.. they're not supposed to be good
