It seems that no matter who the QB, we have open receivers everywhere. How many times do we see guys breaking open off that slant? It’s like an automatic 6-10 yards. Garrett and Joe Clown could never figure this out. . Option routes do this

NFL.com started already... have no idea what you could criticize him for tonight but they found something. Jones is apparently now supposed to do OC duties and get Golladay and WanDale more involved and stop throwing balls off his TE's hands into the defenders.. yea...they said - "as it often is with Jones...his performance was a "toss-up." they'd like to create a QB controversy if at all possible. I didn't see it as a toss up at all. I thought he played quite well. The int was really on the TE, he put that ball where it had to be. If he progresses a bit more in this offense, we should have something there.

And I can't even get on Bellinger there because he probably saw all the green he had if he caught it and lost concentration...rookie learning time Even the jump ball to Sills that was broken up was a well placed ball that the corner made a good play on... Telling that Sills,Robinson and Johnson got the start and Golladay only was in for Goal line.. Either they were trying to showcase Sills for a trade or they really think Jones/Sills could actually be a thing when bullets fly for real (of course again it's easier for Sills to get separation against backups )

Giants QB stats
Jones 14-16 for 116 (88% completion)-------1 INT ( Great pass should have been caught) Taylor 7-11 for 37 (63% completion)-----------1 sack ( But I was glad to see it. He hung in the pocket and went through his reads) Webb 22-27 for 204 (81% completion)-------2TDs ( with scrubs)
Jones was money. Played really well. That int was a perfectly placed ball. Just wasn't caught. It happens.
Webb Is going to make the 53 . He may not be dress for each game. I think he proved he is a better than average 3rd.
Taylor with a 63% completion percentage is good for a #2 QB
If last night was a window on how our QB are. It looks like a good group. Much better than preseason game 2 last year.
Our QB group is only costing $11,321,471 (5.5% of the cap) Did not look bad for the money spent.

Agree 100% he seems to be moving in the right direction making up fro lost time really the last 3 years. That said he has a long way to go when the bullets starting flying for real it's gonna get real , real fast. Also Jones even tho it has been better still has not walked on to the field in a game situation with his full compliment of weapons Yep. Agree with all this. But I can remember for the last two preseasons thinking “jeez, just put something together. Just something to show that progress might be possible”. And I think that’s what we’re seeing. Will it be enough? Will his weapons stay healthy, will the line hold up against 1s, will he make 6 great plays and then eliminate it all with a turnover? We’re gonna find out obviously. But right now things are looking better than they have in awhile. Also, remember all that stuff about Daboll being a softy, too player friendly? Didn’t get that sense last night either. Guy wants to win, and expects to see a certain level of play. Exactly point on. We don't know withJones what the best version of him is, I know for sure it is better then the last 3 years and I think Daboll and his staff will be the ones to find out what it is. To your point as far as player friendly goes he has fire and he showed it last night went after I believe Bellinger on that drop, Also Davis Webb is showing what exactly this staff is bringing from Buffalo, it's gonna be competitive and they will not accept less then a players best. They are on their sixth center 3rd or 4th LG and they don't look bad for so many moving parts. just think it's a matter of talent now the staff seems solid and so does the front office.

Jones played solid. In fact the team for the most part played sound football but it's still preseaon. Lots of work ahead in order to win some games. Agree when the 1s were in they dominated as they should have against the 2s of the bengals they held them to like 60 yards offense and ran up 200 yards or so on offense sound football something new around here.

They’re still going to lose a lot of games because of the lack of talent and just old fashioned bad luck with injuries. I just hope the owner shows the same maturity he did when everyone in the football world was calling for Coughlin’s head. Just hang onto Schoen and Daboll more than two seasons. Let’s see what they can do.

Impressed with the QB and OL play in that game. RBs too. Obviously Bachman looked great.
Im biting my nails on the injuries to Thibs and Beavers.

Is it me or does it seem every time we check down to a back that it's at least 8 yards plus..

I saw nothing wrong with his game last night and he looks like he can produce from what I saw

I’m gonna watch it again a bit closer tonight but, once again, I liked what I saw overall.
OL looked solid despite being ravaged in the interior. All the QBs played well (Webb throws a beautiful ball for what it’s worth. Real nice spiral). The RBs seem to be more than capable. Defense has some big stops on short fields.
Another B- for me.

I have seen some things in the first 2 preseason games even though I mostly only watched till halftime both games, but I've seen some things that I haven't seen in quite some time. We actually look functional now and with that we should grow each week win or lose; which is all we've been asking for......

Webb's a player. He's better than our back-up's last year for sure.
Adam Sandler is better than Glennon or Fromm. I’ve been impressed with Webb. Plus his story of making back here is pretty cool.

Didn’t get to watch the game. Everything I’ve read says we executed well. That’s all you can ask for. I’ll have to try and find a replay and some time. It’s refreshing to see good effort in a preseason game even if the outsoles are meaningless. For the last however many years we’ve looked like dogshit in the preseason which continued straight on through the regular season. Hopefully when the game count is a few weeks we can continue to execute. Just be competitive. Is that too much to ask for? the best overall take away from the two preseason games is that the team very rarely looks confused or out of synch so to speak. For me this huge. Especially with all the various levels of talent and experience being put in the field at any given time.

I remember him having an awful outing and then battling back with a good showing but he was let go.
I feel much better about the QB position this year with Tyrod and Davis.

I think 4 years is reasonable for both sides.
