Giants' Kenny Golladay tells court: I can't be bribed with 7 grand. linkNew York Giants wide receiver Kenny Golladay was recently embroiled in a legal matter in which his former agent, Jason Bernstein of Clarity Sports International LLC, filed a lawsuit against the memorabilia company Redland Sports and MVP Authentics seeking lost commission in the amount of $1,782,942.81.Golladay had switched agencies from Clarity to CAA but the lost revenues from that event were in dispute. The narrative was that Golladay had simply spurned his old agency for a bigger house and more dynamic and powerful representation, in this case Todd France. In a recent piece by The Athletic, some of Golladay’s testimony from his August 30, 2021 deposition was revealed.“You can’t bribe me with 7,000 bucks,” Golladay said in excerpts of court filings. “Yeah, that’s kind of disrespectful.”“I knew I wanted the total package, and that comes with everything, and I wanted a monster deal. I felt like I was worthy for a monster deal, and to be honest — no hard feelings to Jason — I didn’t feel like he would be able to do that for me, and I found an agent that was able to do that and I thought would be able to do it, and Todd France was the guy. And, I mean, $72 million later, here we are.”The $72 million Golladay is referring to was the contract he signed with the Giants after this mess occurred. He is now entering his second season of the four year deal, of which many are predicting he won’t see through completion.I am starting to think the Giants could have gotten him for $7,000.01
