Drafting smart would be good, and instead of choosing injury prone people like Thibodeaux would help……the Giants could have taken another offensive lineman……but of course they mistakenly chose a “pass rusher” from the low rated PAC 12……they should have known better and figured if he was really good he would have played in the REAL college football conference. LOL, this is serious BS right here. ..or the truth….the actual results speak for themselves. Two offensive linemen that high would have given the Giants a real strength on an otherwise terrible offense….a good offensive line makes a mediocre QB good, a good QB great, and a great QB MVP.

Kayvon's injury is more serious then thought to keep him out of this game! Yes, it appears so as it was suggested he could be ready for week 1, UNLESS the injury didn’t heal as quickly as expected…..this is looking more and more like 2021. New coaches and GM, yet things strangely the same. Suggested by whom? I hope you're not listening to people here or beat writers. Once diagnosed it was stated that it could 2-4 weeks and there was always a chance on missing game 1 or 2.

Like clockwork, giants and Yankees the two most injured teams in their respective sports. Go figure 🤔
We needed those guys to win this game too, pressure tannehill into making a quick decision and he folds like a cheap tent.

No, it is the reality of the situation…..if I am full of crap the Giants will beat, or at least push the Titans until the end before just falling short…..bet that isn’t the way it happens. I guess on Sunday we will see.

I sat in left field when Thurman launched that HR that put KC and Brett’s 3 HRs away, and then watched Goose close the ninth inning on 12 or 13 pitches. Do you think George Martin, LT, Carl Banks, Jim Burt, little Joe the locomo, Strahan, Harry Carson, Tucker Fredickson (tucker, tucker, tucker), Fran Tarkenton, Y A Tittle, Gifford, Jumbo Eliot, Eli, Rob Carpenter, Bob Tucker, Homer Jones, Tiki Barber, and more would miss opening day because of a “knee sprain”? That simply would not happen. I must edit this post to include Spider Lockhart by name…a great safety.

Good point. It wasn't as if that shot at his knee was anything serious.
Really straining every muscle in my body not to respond to the white hot take fountain....
Better off laughing it off.

When the New York Giants take on the Tennessee Titans this weekend, the defense is going to have to step its game up to try and slow down both Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill. Well, the uphill climb in getting that job done just got 1,000,000 times more difficult thanks to the latest news on pass-rushers Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari. Don’t expect these two to take the field on Sunday, folks. The Giants just released their latest injury report for Sunday’s matchup in Nashville and unfortunately both Thibodeaux and Ojulari are listed as doubtful to suit up. Right now, it feels like only some sort of a miracle is going to help these two suit up. There was hope that at least one of the two playmakers would be able to play in this one, but the fact that both are not likely to play stings. New defensive coordinator Wink Martindale is now going to have to get extra creative to try and have things run smoothly for the defense. Plus, others will need to play better too. Up front, Dexter Lawrence and Leonard Williams are going to have to play lights out for the G-Men. That was needed in the first place, but now there’s going to be extra pressure on them with Thibodeaux and Ojulari going to be missing in action. We don’t have to tell you that the secondary needs to wake up as well. Tennessee has a ton of talent on offense, with Henry of course being No. 1 in terms of guys who can really do damage. Not only that, but the aerial attack for the Titans is always going to be dangerous with Tannehill throwing the ball. gmenhq.com/2022/09/09/kayvon-thibodeaux-azeez-ojulari-ny-giants-doubtful-week-1-vs-titans/Those were a lot of words to say: “They’re not playing”.

Agree it's an up-hill climb, but Titans have a new receiving corp and lost Landry and Brown. Giants have other rushers as well. I put my trust in Wink.

Dick Vermeil won the SB in three years and had only 5 players that were on the Rams team when he started. Big…..big changes are coming as the trade deadline is the end f October…..they really want Saquon to crush, so they can trade him…."Same with kadaverous…..Golladay is just a wart they will remove at the end of the season. The Giants need a bunch of drat choices and HOPEFULLY, they stay away from the toys and take linemen…..the first round choice will be a QB.

You do realize that the team has been given off to the Coaches. Shoen can scout like he has always done . Keep making things up to be negative I'm sure you can get better at it.

Really straining every muscle in my body not to respond to the white hot take fountain.... I have no idea why anyone responds to it. The next football take that it has on here will be its first. Every football message board I've been on had its share of bigots. I just ignore them and hope that moderators will ultimate ban them.

We need these guys, but it is better for them to miss time now instead of later into the season. Once they get back, I feel like our pass rush will be the best it has been in years.

Don't rush either of them back and risk further damage, let them get to as close at 100% as possible
Until then I guess it is Ximines, Ward and Fox will have to step up

As everyone already knows Wink likes to blitz.
Wink also is not a square peg in a round hole type of DC. He will not go blitz crazy if the players cant get it done and Daboll wont let that happen anyway.
He will certainly try but he wont bang his head against the wall with it if its not working.

Useless last year except for committing win costing penalties. Evidently they see something in him. He can make it all better with me if he tackles like a big boy and pressures their QB for a change.
