Ezeudu is a absolute Mauler of a Run Blocker, had his struggles with Pass Blocking but hell everybody will struggle to block Jeffery Simmons that guy is a Monster, very underrated. After some early mistakes Ezeudu settled in and started to go to work and was moving people Really good at Pulling and getting to the second level also he did not look ready early, I know in the Game Thread I posted he wasn't ready and to pull him out but the Coaches stuck with him and he did improve during that game Ezeudu, was a big difference on the OL. Pulled really well and hit anyone in his way.

I give the coaching staff an A+. The team looked prepared, and ready for what the Titans threw at them. Its a far cry from the crap we'd been seeing the last 5+ years.
Also, the defensive effort was really impressive to me given the guys that were missing.
I think we have a lot to build on, and my early impression is the right staff to do so. I'm excited for the season.

Offense Pass: B-, was the supporting cast this game Rush: A+, we have a legit running game Coaching: A, played the hot hand and found a way to score when we needed to score
Defence Pass: B-, Tannenhill had little to no pressure unless we brought everyone, an offense with better WRs would have carved this D Rush: A, you ask me if we hold Henry to under 100 and I would have laughed Coaching: A-, #1 job was to limit Henry, mission accomplished
ST Kicking: B, some good, some bad Returns: B+, couple play put us in good position Coverage: B, same a kicking
Head Coach: A+, even if the 2 pt was no good, best coached Giants game I’ve seen in a long time
Game Ball: Barkley. May not deserve a monster contract but if he keeps this up it’ll be hard to just let him walk
Officiating: won’t be popular but we got help from the refs in key plays. The opposite will happen this season too so it is what it is
Broadcast: Meh. Enjoyed Sanchez later in the broadcast but that might be because I enjoyed the Giants later in the broadcast.

Who knows if it would have been easier on Jones if they had put, probably their most talented receiver, on the field a little bit. I will probably say it a few 100 more times. Toney is lightning in a bottle and you can’t afford to have him sitting on the sidelines.

I do respect that they kept fighting but there was a lot of sloppy play and a lot to work on. Very happy about the win though. Winning the first game of the year vs. a quality opponent of the road is a awesome feeling.

It was far from a perfect game, lots and lots of areas to improve upon. But, they continued to improve as the game went on, looked more and more comfortable. I attribute the earliest look to the jitters coming with first game of the season under the new system. So A+ may be a little generous, I can live with that

As terrified as I was about the offense in the first half. The fact that we saw chunk offensive plays in the 2nd half was nice. The Garrett/Judge offense simply didn't produce big plays, pretty much ever.

I really thought 100% after the first half we were dead, I was like, geez this is as bad as we've EVER looked. but man, it just took these guys a bit of real action to get going, a lot of teams actually looked pretty bad in their first halves. huge A for effort and determination, and giving themselves a chance to win. Loved daboll on the sidelines laying into jones a bit, tough love, hes never had that, theres always excuses. Jones HAS to look at other receivers other than the 1st guy, he never looks over the field. its my number one concern with him. as i ramble off topic.... defense held just enough, but the passing game on both sides of the ball is concerning if we're talking actually competing and piling some more W's.

OFFENSE Pass - C+, This is a team game and the line needs to do much better to give Jones time. Jones gets full credit for the TD to Shepard, what was a perfect throw. He also gets all blame for a horrible drive killing Int. Rush - A++ Best running game I have seen from the Giants since SQB was well, SQB. As much as I will kill our line for their pass protection I have to give them credit for their run blocking. Great to see our rookies shine here. Coaching - B, It would have been an F at the end of the first half but wow did they adjust. Almost gave an A for getting the 2 point conversion. Love it! I don't think I would have been able to make that call.
DEFENSE Pass - C, They did enough to keep us in the game but in the end they just could not stop the Titans, got bailed out by a missed FG. I know this is harsh but I give and F to our pass rush, they sure did try, but it just seemed that we never put pressure on Tannehill. Cudos to our CBs for holding on, and hey even holding from time to time. Rush - B -, Very impressive against a great running team. Clearly did not shut them down but keep it in check. Coaching - B, I feel like they are getting the most out of this crew, I want to burn them for giving up so much yards on that last drive, but not sure there was much they could do. I loved it that we were not playing prevent.
SPECIALS Kicking/Punting - C, both are really good, can't give give a good grade as the snap is part of the kicking game. Returns - C, but better than we have had for a while, I see hope here. Coverage - D, this area is a problem
HEAD COACH - A, Great debut, great call on going for 2, because we converted it!
GAME BALL - Barkley!!!
OFFICIALS - B-, meh
TV BROADCAST, B, was fine

OFFENSE B- Pass C, efficient, game management type, high completion %, not much risk, couple of really nice darts, a couple of wonks, one really really bad INT Rush, A, Barkley, Barkley, Barkley. Hopefully he stays healthy and can do this all season. Greatest game by SQB since his rookie year IMO. Keep it up. Jones a couple of key runs, BUT, he needs to learn how to slide. Breida nice in relief, 5 ypc. Toney with a couple of end arounds, got some good yards too. Coaching B. DEFENSE B- Winks D did ok, but still gives up too much in the air (rb screens kill us) without the pass rushers. I expect big improvements once Ojulari and Thibs are in there. Pass - C I just never felt like they were a lockdown. Too many receivers open. Not enough pass rush. Rush - A- Really slowed down Henry, much better than I anticipated. SPECIALS - D Didnt like it at all. Only positive I saw is our punter. The rest needs work. HEAD COACH B+ Rough first half. I thought there were some head scratching calls that didnt work, but it was probably more execution. Second half was much more improved. Again, a coach who can finally nail the challenges correctly, and showed his has nuts on the 2pt call (which I was screaming for on that final drive if we scored). GAME BALL - Barkley easy OFFICIALS - Meh

It was Barkley’s show, and everyone else was there for the ride. He accounted for 194 yards of our team total of 394. We would of had our doors blown off if not for him.
In a team sport, one player won us that game.

The first half I thought we had been transported back to the horror of 2021. Yes, it was poor execution... on the players. Thank you to the football gods that the guys turned it around 2nd half. There is a glimmer of light at the end of this long black tunnel. So if we win next week? Way Less Hopeless?

Obviously Barkley stands out on offense in this game, but honestly, did anyone stand out on defense? They didnt play awful on denfese, not great but not awful. They kept the game in reach early on after the first TD, holding the Titans to 2 FGs. They really got to Henry and held him in check. They didnt have any pass rush. McKinney blitzed a bunch but never got home. Secondary was hit or miss. No one really stood out though on D. That might be a good thing too. Its a sign of TEAM defense. Now, if we can keep that and get Azeez and Thibs coming in hot off the edge, we may be in business. Although I thought Ward did a great job containing. Did Leonard Williams even play?

Never heard Sanchez do a game before as broadcaster but I thought he did great. He reminds of Tony Romo which means he likes to talk. Me? I find it distracting. The last thing I want when watching a game is someone to distract me from it.
So after a big play or a questionable play, the last thing I want to see if Fox send it to New York so we can watch a highlight from another game. Or some dumb ass PFF stats. I really don't give a flying **** about Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs while I'm trying to watch my ****ing team play football you dumb ****s over at Fox. The bottom line is I'm there for the game. I'm pressing the mute button once the commercials come. And I don't unmute it until the play begins. I have no use for the sideline shit as well. Just give me the game with a sense of knowing that I'm watching it. Perfect example - the pass play where the receiver's knee was down and the refs missed it. We could see it was close so naturally all I care about at that moment is to see the replay. So what does Sanchez and the play-by-play guy do? They ignore the play and start talking about some other bullshit as the replay shows the knee touches. So I'm yelling "throw the flag." Sure as shit the announcers don't say shit about the knee until Dabes threw the ****in flag and the refs stopped the game. I see this happen every game and it just frustrates me that obviously no cares enough about it.

In a team sport, one player won us that game. The OL also helped in the running game! But overall the titans gifted us that game even with Barkley's play! They made so many key mistakes taking us so lightly! But I will say, last year we still would have lost the game!
