Looks like they were really upset with each other afterwards. Great picture, thanks for sharing. Thats the happiest I've seen DJ look since that Saints game. Loosen up kid, you got this.

maybe thats Daboll just doing what Daboll does? Jones just happens to be his QB right now Thanks for finding this and posting. My wife and brother are both lifelong Bills fans. I have seen every snap of Allens career. His transformation has been nothing short of incredible. He was nothing more than an athlete his first couple years with plenty of turnovers. Stability, coaching and confidence, stability, coaching and confidence. It's imperative for a QBs success if he has the smarts and talent. I have seen numerous instances of Daboll reaming Allen. Recently there was a long interview by Chris Simms of Allen while they play catch. Allen brought up his times Daboll gave him an earful. Just last week on 550 AM sports talk Buffalo the afternoon hosts said if Daboll pulls off anything remotely close to what he did with Allen with DJ it will go a long way in "the book of Daboll". They all still love the guy over here in Western NY and are happy for him.

The Bills are an odd situation for me, living in NY (Long Island) and hearing nothing about them, hardly ever televised here. One thing I've felt, as exiting as Allen has become - is he putting a season at risk, with his aggressive give up the body running? Are the coaches really onboard with this? Do you think Daboll will encourage Jones to be this way, seeing how he is similar in athletic traits?

living in NY (Long Island) Are you a Billy Joel fan? I used to race him on my tricycle. He had a nifty moped, and usually won. But I got all the chicks, he would sit home, pick his nose and masturbate.

Do you think Daboll will encourage Jones to be this way, seeing how he is similar in athletic traits? Its a big topic over here--Josh running more than necessary. I have my own theory--Josh no longer has Daboll to reign him in. Allens new OC is a guy he considers a buddy--Ken Dorsey who was his QB coach. Allen went to bat for Dorsey for the promotion. The system stayed pretty much the same. Yet Dorsey lacks the authoritarian presence that Daboll would have as they both grew together under Daboll. Allen truly thinks he's invincible on the football field and contact fires him up. As we all know, at the QB position that needs to be kept in check for the good of the team. In dire situations, of course. Do I think Daboll will use him in the same way as he used Allen? As for scripted plays, yes I do. We have seen all over the league what this can do for an offense, and how it opens things up. That being said, if they truly hope DJ can be the guy it needs to be done in doses--just enough to make defenses respect it as he needs to remain available.

Coach him hard in the moment. To me that makes all the sense in the world. Because let’s be clear, what he saw was shit.

Awful display by Daboll. Tarnishes his and Giants reputation. If he keeps that up, free agents won't want to sign with Giants this summer. If anything, someone should yelling at him for ill-conceived play.

So in the post game presser, he says that he wasn't yelling at DJ but at his coaches. Does anyone buy this? Reminds me of the Golladay/Garrett sideline spat last year where Kenny looked like he was yelling at DJ but then said he was yelling at Garrett. I for one am happy that Daboll got in his face for some accountability over a STUPID THROW. Might have won them the game because DJ was focused after that. I pointed this out in another thread. He actually claimed in his presser that he was talking to his coaches in his headset. But he obviously took off his headset before he started talking. Everyone knows he was talking to DJ, and everyone knows he was lying. I like it, and didn't expect him to admit it to reporters.

Hope Schoen told him that. Daboll must know that given he didn't fess up to that.

I am sure Schoen has zero issue with Daboll coaching up his QB after a ridiculous read and mistake.

Has to be doing this stuff on purpose to get responses since nobody can be this wrong or hypocritical this often.. It's not working most of the time but he's had a couple on this subject that have gotten hits..

A coach has to be able to lay into a player when things go that sideways. This is a high stakes emotional game. As long as it doesn’t carry over the it’s perfectly acceptable communication.

I don't watch pressers, so I'm not sure how Daboll normally interacts with reporters. I don't take it that he's lying, more that he's cutely mocking the reporters. He knows the players, as well as us fans, see what he is doing. I'm actually thrilled he went first after the player most in the spotlight and most in need of correcting some things, rather than let's say a backup CB.

If anything, someone should yelling at him for ill-conceived play. “He picks and chooses when to do it,” Webb said. “It’s never talking down. We’re all in it to win the game — him included. He’s the head coach, he’s talking to the quarterback and we’re trying to steer things in the right direction and get things fixed and we got it fixed.”
Jones briefly engaged Daboll, but said Wednesday he had no ill feelings about the fiery exchange.
“I think he was just communicating that it was a costly mistake and we can’t afford to do it,” Jones said. “That’s what goes on in a game. There’s a lot of communication back and forth, so I understood it and you have to be able to move on.”
Jones said he did not consider Daboll’s outburst tough coaching. “Like I said, I think it was just communicating and there is emotion in a game and there is emotion in a situation like that at the end of a game. It’s my job to understand it, listen to it and be able to respond. He’s an emotional guy – passionate and enthusiastic – and I think that’s what makes him such a good coach.”www.nj.com/giants/2022/09/giants-quarterback-daniel-jones-says-it-is-his-job-to-listen-and-respond-to-brian-dabolls-criticism.html

Back in the day, when we had get togethers for games, it was always right to the dart board, pool table, or parking lot for a 3 on 3 after games. Now it's straight outside for doobie and doggy play time. Plus I enjoy reading you guys impressions and getting my info that way.
