How many more of these does he need for a new contract? None.. He'll get a new contract next year.. A lot can happen in 16 games. It's not that cut and dry IMO. Then if DJ has a good year, we have a big decision to make. Right now, we appear to be a run first offense but I think Saquon is easier to replace than DJ. I'm a big believer in RB by committee due to injury issues with RB's

if his mindset was not like that previously then that is huge difference. Move the effing chains and go from there!! Same with the passing game....just move the chains It was a short pass that I really picked up on this because he lower his shoulder and ran into the chest of the defender for a 3 yard gain.. yep....swing pass to the left.

YA tittle guy looking like a real clown quitting the boards because 10% of the board didn't agree Barkley was soft and clearly he isn't. Still one of the best RB's in the league

Pretty sure it was more then a couple of fans who thought this so that 10% is incorrect. As for someone leaving I don't understand why it effected you so much that you brought it up and bashed them.. Lets stick to football and making fun of the few hot take posters that are still here..

Regardless, it just bugged me how quick fans were to forget Barkley's ability. With that said...his pass blocking wasn't terrific last week either but Barkley doesn't have to be a stud pass blocker when he can take over games like he did. We have a coaching staff that seems like they should be able to put players in the best spots in certain circumstances such as splitting Barkley out wide on a third down instead of having him pass block

As for fans forgetting Barkley's ability that's a new one and again we will have to agree to disagree.. What I saw was a player unwilling to smash into a defensive player and would try at all costs to avoid contact both with the ball and without..

How many times have we seen this guy not only beat, but blown up?

Also, you have to look at it from his perspective...he's nearly lost the chance at playing the sport he loves(along with the $) with fluke injuries...not so hard to fathom it was all mental. Lets put it this way....did you see the same last week? I sure didn't, I saw a young player sacrificing his body and putting the team on his back when it mattered most. One play specifically that shows his character is the play where he got the ball punched out...he didn't celebrate the big run, he walked back thinking "WTF did I just do, almost lost this for US?", he was more worried about the team's success than his big run. Thats my RB1.

It worked since we all saw a different Barkley last Sunday..

Yep. I agree with the thought process that you don’t draft RBs in the first round. But there’s not a lot of 3rd RBs in the league that could have done what he did. That 2 pt conversion was basically all him. That play was dead. sheer determination and hunger right there. Hearing all the pundits for a few years now you talk about want to prove your naysayers wrong!!! love it love it Barkley... Exactly this. When Daboll went for 2 in that spot, 26 was not going to be stopped from getting in that end zone no way, no how.

Re watching the re air of the game last nite on NFLN because I watched on a game link Sunday and missed some plays due to it's stupidity, I noticed that he had a look in his eyes from the onset of the game thru the final moments of it, that same look in his eye. Not even one of smiling but more of a snarl, sort of that Kobe like snarl like yeah Muffackers I know I can get it done and will get it done and yall gonna see...........

Watching the game, I told my friend the Giants would call the KC shovel play, and they did. Had seen them practice in team scrimmages.
Looking at the video of two-point it looked like two defenders who were already in the Giants backfield were ready for the play. But when Barkley caught the ball he immediately stepped to the right of the defensive players they could react, and in a few moment he was in for the score. If he went straight ahead he would have not scored.,

Liked that Wink called Barkley the Giants "best defensive player" in the Titans game. Translation: Barkley kept the Titans offense off the field for extended periods of time.

S.B. played like a Superstar this weekend. See the look in his eyes throughout the game. That was a man on a mission. Go figure, ha ha ha. The NYG are the #1 rushing attack in the NFL after game 1. Never thought id hear that statement any time soon.

Actually in many of of the clips from camp Daboll was chirping at Barkley about "being great". I once had a Stanley Cup winning coach onboard for a charter. One of our discussions resulted in him commenting--"the great players need coaching as bad or more so than the rest of the team, but some coaches tend to overlook that".
