Well deserved. Barkley had a great day rushing, receiving etc. Hoping he stays healthy all season.

Surprised it wasn't Jones and his 80% completion accomplishment..
Maholmes and Allen both had great games worthy of this honor..

I see that ballbag Michael Eisen still works for the Giants. Must have a senior, senior position for him. As for Barkley, he was the clear best player on the field Sunday. If not for him, we’re staring down the end of a barrel.

If not for him, we’re staring down the end of a barrel. Yep. I agree with the thought process that you don’t draft RBs in the first round. But there’s not a lot of 3rd RBs in the league that could have done what he did. That 2 pt conversion was basically all him. That play was dead.

He’s playing with an Empire State Building chip on his shoulder. He heard all the whispers, soft, injury prone, bad draft pick. This season he’s playing for himself, win, lose or draw. Leave it all on the field, and see where the chips fall. One game does not make a season, but it’s a good start.

Are there any who could've done that no matter what round they were selected in? Zeke and Fornete are the two that were drafted high in the 1st and no way either of them do it.

He does have an other-worldly skill set this year.

Surprised it wasn't Jones and his 80% completion accomplishment.. Maholmes and Allen both had great games worthy of this honor.. Statistically Barkley was the best RB in the league rushing in week 1. Barkley had 164 ys rushing, Taylor of Indy was next with 161 yds rushing. Barkley also had 30 yds receiving, almost 200 yds for the day with a TD. QB's can always dwarf a RB statistically. I don't know about Mahomes and Allen but I certainly thought Saquon had a better game than Jones. But I hope we have this discussion all year long "Who had a better game Barkley or Jones".

Look I have been very vocal about what a mistake I thought it was to draft him, how it set the franchise back even longer, etc. Currently I still feel that way.
That being said, I hope he balls out this season and I really do hope he goes on to have a great career, whether its here or elsewhere. Hes been through a lot and deserves it.
I would love it if somehow he could remain here and help this team win a SB. Prove me and a LOT of people wrong.

Especially when you know who you are and know your ability and what you can make happen. When you fall short for whatever reason and you start to hear the chatter, there's no greater determination and fire you need to go out and show it. Fingers crossed he stays heathly and remains available all season and I believe he will and will show and prove. Might be bad for us after this year as to being able to retain his services after he has that monster season. We might not be able to afford him and he'll likely not take a hometown discount for us and rightfully so ( though I hope he does ) . There will be teams lining up to get him and especially those close who just needs a dynamic player like him to ascend them over the top. Pleaaaase no Eagirls

But all in all I'll say not totally like my man Barkley did it..........

Barkley willing to get the dirty yards last Sunday. Not always looking for the big run. They were saying this on Tiki and Tierney with Banks on.

I noticed that also.. if his mindset was not like that previously then that is huge difference. Move the effing chains and go from there!! Same with the passing game....just move the chains
