Allen clocks in at 238 and Jones at 230. Both at 6'5". Maybe thats the key for Jones. Head up when getting hit The muscularity, an important aspect for QB’s ….quite different between the two. Jones is too rigid in everything he does, while Allen is looser out there…even when he was playing in Wyoming you can see his raw smooth talents. Athleticism is not just running fast in a straight line…. QB’s need to look calm and Jones looks like every play is a feared and stressful event vs a “ I got this shit, fear me defense…”damn sure does lmao and smh. it's as if he makes things harder than they have to be

That’s not a slide, it looks like he’s falling down stairs. He must want a short career, because their will be a rabid linebacker who will take his head off. lmao lol I'm falling out my chair

i don't know what it is. I mean how hard can it be to slide properly lol. Maybe Jones just have a slow complex when it comes to reacting and certain things. Rooting for the dude but dang Uhh dunno. I think its taught to you in Jr High, pop warner... DJ mustva missed those coaching sessions he was with dad Jim Carrey taking comedic lessons lol

Jones needs to be taught how to slide? Isn't it to late for that? Didn't it take Eli like 10 years to learn how to slide? lol you are probably right , smh

They’re clearly not the same QBs (skill or body type) but Josh Allen isn’t exactly smart with his body. At all. He smashes for yards head first a lot but the difference is he doesn’t have Jones injury history. I wince every time Jones is close to contact. Only problem I have the head is off limits when a QB gets touched on the helmet it's 15 why is this not the case for DJ.

But seems like it still should apply

Jones needs to be taught how to slide? Isn't it to late for that? sadly you might be rite Its instinct especially if you ever played baseball. Maybe Jones never did. He is so awkward and you don't see the confidence as he is running. Yet he has speed but the smoothness and decision making has a disconnect in it.

Why don't they bring in a baseball coach to teach him? To slide? I mean think about sliding for a moment. - Baseball slide into second base - Slip n Slide - At the Play Ground Slide - Water Slide - Swimming Pool Slide You put your feet out , your ass hits the ground and you slide!

We put out a Slip and Slide for outdoor parties, supposedly for the kids but I'm always the first in line. And I always go head first, especially if the Limbo bar is set up.

I mean it's almost like I guess most want think about sliding while running but when you are playing football you would think that's something that you know you need to do and so if you can't do it properly then you need to ask for assistance. I'd really like to know what is the true reason behind him in year 4 still not being able to slide. Was it never addressed before by any staff and still hasn't been addressed? I know if us on the outside looking in can see then those inside damn sure should be able to see.....

Im not as worried about his sliding as some of you are. He's 6'5". Its a long way down and Im not too concerned if he looks graceful. Just dont fumble is all I ask.

The game hasn’t slowed down for him yet. His slides look like he decides at the last split second that he should slide. It’s also a trust issue. I think he thinks if he doesn’t get it done it’s not going to get done so it seems like he’s always looking for the absolute most yards and when whatever lane he saw closes he’s still trying to figure out how to squeeze out more. That’s a long way of saying I agree with you. he "slid" twice last Sunday only coming up inches short of first down. Those he needs to get. Here is my viewpoint people want Jones to slide but complain(not you, just in general) when he comes up short of a first down. It's football and he is a competitor trying to have an outstanding season to further his career. IMO he is needs to go for it if it means scoring or a first down or TD slide or not.

Allen is grace under pressure. Uncanny ability to create a positive that is not there. Jones is the complete opposite. He is decisive and robotic. So whatever he decides thats whats going to happen. No change of direction or play..He is what he is. Eli was robotic as well at times but the dude could also stand in with the best of them and take a hit. Then get back up and on to the next play. Jones isnt that either.
