He understands that the fans need a reason to be loud. Daboll gets this too. I do go much recently but in all my years that I did go to Giants games the crowd was always pretty good. Some times on fire and really loud. The NYG fans will be loud if there is a reason and they will clam up just as easily too. I am not getting into all the lux boxes and high price seats etc because most stadiums have that. So I dont buy that for the reason the crowd isnt loud. A big issue for Sunday is its going to ****ing upper 80s!! WTF! I absolutely hate going to football games in hot weather. That would def effect my enthusiasm.

We’re among friends here. Let’s be honest.
Our stadium just isn’t as intense an atmosphere to visit compared to others in the NFL.
Some of that is how badly we’ve played over the last 10 years. Some of it is ticket prices.
I don’t blame Wink for trying to change that.
I think the place is going to start out really loud. Let’s see if fans can sustain that energy.

He said Saquon was the best defensive player on the field last week...lol. Meaning he set the tone and played angry.

He does understand he's mostly soliciting corporate giftees that probably don't even care about the Giants or football, right? . That stadium will rock if they have a reason to. NYG fans will never get loud without a reason. I have been going to games for a long time and have seen this in both the old and new stadiums. Are there more corporates etc? Yep I am sure their are. Still plenty of fans who scream their lungs out.

It’s not the pathetic record over the years. Watch a Jets game, that place rocks for a series or two until the Jets are mathematically out of the game. And they have been utter shit for decades. Our fans are to busy updating their yelp reviews, and yelling at a pin drop to shut up.

Lots of quiet crowds when the team wasnt deserving. Not mindless Jets fans at all....lol

Their fans are at a heavy metal concert, and rock till they can‘t rock no more. We on the other hand, need a reason other than to go take a piss to get up and out of our seats. Old Giants stadium, now that place shook the heavens.

Good job identifying the ticket price element. I think that's the biggest factor, honestly. Much bigger than the lack of success over the past decade. We have a passionate fan base (look no further than this message board for evidence of that). Even when we suck we are still supportive of the team. Nevertheless, the lower section of MetLife seems to be 50% corporate big wigs bringing their clients to games. Not only are they wearing non-Giants jerseys, they are wearing jerseys from teams not even playing against the Giants that day. And they are all looking at their phones. It's a shame.

Idk, i don’t see too many elders at Metlife anymore. Seems to be a younger crowd with 60% checking their iphones, getting up for beer and missing most of the game. Meanwhile, the scoreboard instructs the audience when to or when not to cheer. “Shhh, quiet, offense at work” 🙄. So much for noise effecting the game as the place is loud for 3rd down yet the opponent keeps converting.

There are a lot of young fans that stand up and make this type of noise when we are trying to get a play off on offense. Not saying that you are one of those, but I have no problem with those people being told to sit down and shut up.

Now when it was rocking is was rocking loud. The new stadium they have not had that much to get loud about. This weekend they will.

I would respond to Wink by suggesting that the best way to get the stadium rocking is to play great defense.

My brother and I are going to the game. Taking the train. I've been to MANY games and I my voice is always SHOT the next day. I know to shut up when the offense is lining up and cheer on a great/good play. When the defense is on the field. I try to make as much noise as I can when the other team lines up. We have awesome seats, sec 137, row 18 and they cost PLENTY. But we ain't getting any younger LOL.
PS. I really loath the new stadium and miss Giants Stadium immensely!
GO GIANTS!

Well, as one who has been going to games for 57 *&%^&%$# years, I say screw the drunk idiot that stands and screams for no reason. I literally watched a guy so drunk he was screaming "let's go offense" while the other team had the ball. Later he puked in the seat... I still yell loud and bang the MEZZ metal wall (and been told to stop!)... And since I'm front row MEZZ, I don't have to ask some drunk idiot to sit down! HAHAHA.... All you SOBs will get old too... IF you are lucky!!
