Anyone else thinks having the Head Coach participate in the weekly Giant show takes too much time away from his coaching obligations?
I love watching but I think it's a waste of time. I'd rather Dabs be working on the next opponent rather than talking to Banks & Papa.
Is this nitpicking or a real concern?

The HC is face of the franchise and it probably contracted to do shows, interviews etc. Just my guess.

A lot of coaches around the league actually have their own shows. I don't think it is an issue. No one can dedicate 100% of their lives to their job and everyone needs a break, even if this is still dealing with football, he is out of his office and not gameplanning.

Are we talking about the 43-minute show uploaded to YouTube? It may seem like a lot, but Dabs is only on there for 10-15 minutes.

Yeah I think its nitpicking too, and like GT said, he probably has contractual obligations to do this.
Not that this it totally related to this subject, but thinking about coaches obligations made me think of this, which has been common practice across most sports now...
I hate the BS interviews with coaches as they are heading off the field or court after the first half. Stupid questions like "coach, your team was totally outplayed in the first half, what went wrong?"
Just once I would like to hear a coach say, wtf do you think? We are getting our asses kicked, FO!
Is that nitpicking?

Is that nitpicking? No one put more fear into reporters than Iron Mike. Ditka during those lean years with the Saints had a few of those meltdowns. Team is 2-7, and falling into the abyss. Who in there right mind would have the balls to ask him why are you so upset? These guys put their family on hold for a few months to take care of their other family, the team. They cherish every win, and feel every loss. I’m sure he wanted to punch a hole through that reporters chest when asked that question.

I would love to see his reaction walking off the field at half these days and being asked a stupid question.
