I was optimistic when he signed with us, but he showed us nothing. He looked timid out there.
Our new GM told me some inside info on Brandon years ago. Basically that he's lucky to be alive.

Are the Seahawks that stupid or that desperate?
They didn't see his 5 amazing games with the Giants last year?

I guess the Seahawks figure it is worth a one year gamble... I just wonder what they saw over this past year to give him shot?

I didnt know about his struggles with mental health until a last year. But before I knew that I saw him on the weekly HBO sports show and what he was currently doing with the Jets at the time. I said this guy has no passion for game any more and thats fine. When the Giants fist signed him I felt he would not be productive. He wasnt.

Good luck to him mental illness is a tough competitor and he seemed to do a good job in his battle with it.

Agreed and that is more important than football.

He's got a booth career ahead of him without a doubt. He must have some amount of passion for the game to continue playing. His drop against the Lions last year is one of those defining moments in a season chock full of awfulness.

Good to see a little humanity on these boards. I wish him well.

I have someone very close to me who struggles day in and day out with it,it's a life long battle taking the hits he takes doesn't help it's a serious issue in our country right now and he is trying to shine a light on it,nice to see some people see it thanks rosey.

Marshall has always been open and honest about his mental health ever since his Broncos days. I feel as though he's been doing very well with it since then (at least what's publicly shown/reported). Did I miss something like he lapsed recently?
Either way, good luck in SEA and in life.

Just curious, because I'm first getting to know a lot of you, but you have access to Gettlemen and he tells you of inside info? If so, that's really cool. Can't wait to read more tidbits.

I've told this story before on the old board. DG used to live in my town when he the director of pro personnel, and I coached his daughter in a couple of different sports.
I didn't know who he was at first, but he was always wearing Giants gear, so I naturally went up to him after a game. After he told me who he was I always made a point to talk shop with him whenever I had the opportunity. I probably spoke to him most just after the '07 Super Bowl and when Plax shot himself.
But to answer your question, that was then. I don't speak to him now.

Minimal contract with clauses where they can cut him and not get hit with any significant cap issue. My Nephew is a huge Hawks fan and a bit of sports info savant. Got the low down from him.
