How ever you spell it Engakue is out with a throat injury apparently also. He was abruptly put on IR yesterday...leads team with 9.5 sacks so a huge loss for their D. profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/12/31/yannick-ngakoue-will-undergo-throat-surgery/Yannick Ngakoue will undergo throat surgery On Friday, the Colts added defensive end Yannick Ngakoue to the injury report, with a throat issue. On Saturday, the Colts placed Ngakoue on injured reserve, ending his season.
Via ESPN, Ngakoue will undergo throat surgery.
He began to fell discomfort in his throat in the days after Monday night’s loss to the Chargers.
Ngakoue, who spent his first four seasons with the Jaguars, has played for four teams in the past three seasons — the Vikings, Ravens, Raiders, and Colts.
He had 9.5 sacks this year for the Colts. He’s due to be a free agent in March.
This is not a good sign for him. Whenever someone needs throat surgery, it is not a minor procedure. I wish him well in his recovery.

Alright, I’m up. Coffee time. Same. Giants should win this. The Giants SHOULDNT beat anyone. They are favored, but nothing is given. They only beat Houston by 1 score. That said, my prediction: Giants 20 Colts 16

There is no reason why we arent sending the blitz all game long at Foles and double covering Pittman non stop. Cant let him beat us. Thats my defensive strategy.
For offense, we need to come out PASSING. Colts have a good run D and will focus on stopping SQB. Open it up with Slayton, James and Hodgins. Keep taking what they give us. Then in the 2nd half when they need to back off a bit, let SQB loose on em.
FINISH THE SEASON STRONG. Get into the playoffs NOW.

The good tging is the NYGs do so things "fancy". It will be a straight mix of pass and run. As long as they play a clean game they will win

"As expected, outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari will play against the Colts after missing the second half of the Giants’ Christmas Eve game against the Minnesota Vikings with a sprained right ankle.
In addition to Jackson, the Giants had six healthy scratches: safety Dane Belton, cornerback Rodarius Williams, linebacker Jarrad Davis, tight end Lawrence Cager and guards Jack Anderson and Wyatt Davis.
The Giants also elevated tight end Chris Myarick and cornerback Zyon Gilbert from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday for the game against the Colts."
I dont understand the Gilbert over Rod Williams move. Proved to kill us last time we did that.

Collins to Toomer maybe. First play of the second half(?) During a rout? Just sayin…. Ya might want to watch SB XXI... just sayin.. haha

How do you vote against the GMEN in this one? It simply amazes me, after so many meaningless seasons... Why? Go GMEN win big, win ugly just win baby! Some members (I am not one of them) rely on reverse luck to make their choice. It is not that they are voting against the Giants. They are superstitious. Me I do not believe in luck. There is a percentage for a favorable outcome even if the odds suggest an unfavorable outcome. Most times I vote against the odds in the game day thread. That is not the case in today. The odds are in our favor. Good point

I'm guessing some of us have been picking against the team, and winning, so don't want to jinx it. That's the only logical reason I can think of...I'll say it, Colts suck right now. Makes sense

This game was fun back in the day when it was Eli vs Peyton. They played, 3x? I think Peyton won every one.

First series should include a deep pass. Regardless of the outcome, it sends the message that they can't just stack the box to stop Barkley
