5'10, but moves very well in space. Lots of YAC on tape....screens, quick outs...etc..

He looks like a great WR, not sure how good of a fit he is for us. We just got Wandale Robinson as our slot guy last year.
Jordan Addison, Rashee Rice, and Xavier Hutchinson are my guys in terms of WRs to draft

I want the kid from Tennessee. But Downs does look good. I think we’ve somehow got into the position in a year that we can afford to just take BPA. Let Schoen fill holes with free agency

Jaylin Hyatt. He will be in our wheelhouse when we pick in the bottom of the 1st.

I can totally see that comparison. I also am intrigued by Zay Flowers, but I'm not too sure he can survive outside of the slot. After playoffs I'll do a little more draft research. Man, when Flowers gets the ball he is ELECTRIC!!

Addison, Johnston and Smith-Njigba will all likely be gone already.

Jaylin Hyatt. He will be in our wheelhouse when we pick in the bottom of the 1st. Hyatt's scouting report reads similar to Darius Slayton but Hyatt has better upside - he's even faster with more track speed but a little smaller than Slayton. Elite speed - but played 90% in slot. With Daboll considering cutting Slayton it makes me think if Hyatt is a type of WR he would want...but looks like Hyatt has big play potential.

I thought this year was a real weak year to draft WR's. Are all these players potential #1 picks ?
I know there are no real big names at WR coming out in FA. There are veteran WR's coming out like Lizard of G.B. or Ju Ju Schuster I just don't see anything that's coming down the pike in either FA or the draft that we spend big money on or a high draft choice. Maybe a 3rd rd draft choice we have 2 of them at the end of the rd.
I just don't see the calvery coming at this position.

While Slayton has very good speed, Hyatt has that plus is dangerous with the ball in his hands. Makes Slayton a deep threat and not much else, Hyatt is a more complete WR. I don't think they are similar players. Is Hyatt a first round WR? Maybe, maybe not. But bottom of the first or top of the 2nd round player, if the Giants want him they'll need to use their first on him. Unless there is a bigger than expected run at CB in the top of the first; good chance the better player available will be at CB rather than WR. Gonzalez, Porter, Smith, Ringo, Witherspoon, and Phillips all look like first round picks. Will all 6 go before the Giants pick at 25? Possible, one CB every 4 picks. But I figure one of them would be there and I would take them over any of the WR I expect to be there. Addison, Johnston and Smith-Njiba will all likely be gone and IDK if I'd take any of the remaining WRs over any of those CBs.

Every year is a good year for WR; it just might not be a good 1st round for WR. The position has a lot of depth every year. You may not get the coveted #1WR in this draft, but you will find players that will improve the position and a lot of them.

Don't really want yet another tiny slot receiver Look at Xavier Hutchinson. I think you will hear more hype about him as the draft gets closer and more people watch him. If he tests well at the combine, the talk of him being a late 2nd early 3rd WR will change to a first round discussion.

Don't really want yet another tiny slot receiver I heard all of Hyatt's production came from the slot and he weighs about 175...not much size difference between Hyatt and Downs.

Kind of seems like a "lumbering" WR, who will win 50/50 jump balls but isn't going to do much in terms of separation. Good ball skills and body control, poor downfield speed and explosiveness

Watching an actual game as opposed to just the highlights, he's being lined up everywhere, but mostly, he was on the outside. He's playing against NFL quality talent against Alabama, and he lit them the hell up...and mostly on the outside. He's listed at 6'0 185. I bet he cmes to the combine closer to 190. He believes he can run 4.29... Devonta Smith has not been injury prone, and he is way thinner.

Hyatt looks absurdly fast so hard not to be interesting in that...but yeah, Hyatt does look closer to 185-190 to my eye even though I've seen him listed at 175 before...maybe that's from when he was a freshman.

Josh Downs tipping his hat...Saying he can go anywhere from 25 - 50......Interesting the GMEN are his starting number... If Zay Flowers is gone, we could trade back and get him early in 2nd.

I wouldn't mind if we took Downs over Flowers. Flowers was very productive this year but I'll take a football player over a guy who impresses at the combine with his shirt off. I read that Flowers had 24 drops at Boston College with a 10% drop rate. Downs had a 2-3% drop rate last year and accounted for 40% of his team's offense. But if this Twitter post is true...looks like Flowers improved his hands last year.

www.nfl.com/combine/tracker/participants/wr/all-colleges/Josh Downs is the 2nd highest rated WR behind Hyatt and right ahead of Zay Flowers..... Zay Flowers may be the misdirect He is also the Nephew of former NFL player, Dre Bly...Guys that come from football families adjust quicker, because they been around pros their whole lives Jalin Hyatt has 9'' hands..which are smaller than both Flowers and Downs. He will have drops at the next level if he tries to catch anything over the middle. He is strictly a vertical, screen, quick out kinda guy. He is not going to be a hand catcher He's actually perfect for the Giants haha
