In my view Carolina sold out for this one. I would be very surprised if the pick wasn't Bryce Young.

What a trade for Chicago. Plus, DJ Moore friggin unbelievable. If, DG was Bears GM , he would NOT take the deal.

No enough to drop from 1 to 9 IMO.
Still a nice haul though.
Carolina got a hard on for one of them QBs

Really only 1 additional 1st rounder. The other is just flipping from 1 to 9.

Yea like analyst said its really one extra 1st round pick and one of the 2nd round picks is 2 years away. For reference, in 2018 the jets moved up from 6 to 3 and gave up 2 2018 2nd round picks ( both rather than 61), 2018 5th rd pick, and a 2019 2nd rd pick

nice work on their part keeping their franchise QB, and loading up on picks to build around him. They also have a lot of cap space. They will own that division

Doesn’t seem like enough. I assume if they want to move up during the draft they will package their 2nd round pick and next year's 1st they got from Carolina. And must have been best offer they received. Even though it's a bit skinny, still better than over drafting a non-QB @ #1 overall

dude why can't it ever be our org that makes a good trade like this. We've sucked for over 10 years never made one trade in that time that was ever good be it for draft capital or players.

We traded back from 11 to 20 for an extra first like 2 years ago. With the Bears ironically. Unfortunately we drafted Toney with it. We should have did it though in 2018 with that #2 pick. That would have been a huge return.

The Bears got an impressive haul, but the Panthers only had to give up 2 first round picks and managed to keep their 2025 first round pick.

DJ Moore makes this a great trade for the Bears, but I understand why Carolina would do that.

I thought it was great for the Bears. But after Carolina has struggled with how many QB's the last few years while they have a pretty solid team otherwise is well worth it to them imo.
Two #1 picks and two #2 picks plus D.J. Moore gives Chicago 4 high profile players extra in 2 years plus their own picks. This year one #1 pick, two #2 picks, and Moore. Next year two #1's and two #2's. These should all be above average starters. Very nice Chicago.
Carolina now feels they will compete with N.O. for the division with whoever they feel is the best QB in the draft. N.O. is considered to have the best QB in the division with the signing of Carr. Atlanta at #8 probably drafts a QB as well. Personally I think they trade up to #3 with the Cards to jump Indy at #4.
The first 4 picks all are QB's imo.

They must view DJ Moore as worth more than a first round pick. I haven’t watched enough Carolina games to have an opinion on that. I’d imagine they will get a pretty good 1st and 2nd round pick next year as well.

Seems like too much for a mediocre QB class Bryce young isn’t mediocre. Step below burrow and Lawrence only based on his side. CJ Stroud played a hell of a game against Georgia as well. Then you have the physical freak in Anthony Richardson where the sky is the limit. Or Hooker that would be right up there in top 15 if not for the ACL

Hmmmmm…so the Bears have a QB on a rookie contract, several high picks, a true #1 WR and a shitload of cap money. It will be interesting to see where they are at compared to us in 2-3 years, if that.

Everyone keeps saying 2 #1 picks. They swapped pick #9 for #1 so they gave up one #1 pick.

Maybe. Tell me how Cleveland has done with all of their high draft picks over the last decade or two.

Maybe. Tell me how Cleveland has done with all of their high draft picks over the last decade or two. exactly, it is Da Bears after all...I would have thought they could have got a bit more for the #1 pick, but not a bad haul. I'd say it's fair, but you want to take the team moving up to the cleaners with the #1 pick...

. . . and we still don’t know who the #1 QB is.
Great trade for the Bears imo

I like the trade for the Bears. Move down 8 spots and get a 1st (which should be top 10 with a rookie QB), two 2nds, and DJ Moore.
Carolina tried to trade Moore last offseason, and was probably going to be looking for a WR in the draft. So, I think this could potentially help the Giants too. The Bears shouldn't be looking WR at 9.
Cardinals will probably trade out of #4 and be looking WR after trading down, especially if they trade Hopkins. Maybe they stay and take the Bama DE?
