It’s only fitting that a company that is owned by a rat would do people dirty. Max and Keyshawn are useless. And Steve Young isn’t even the smartest guy in a room by himself. But Suzy Kolber who has been with the company for 27 years is bullshit. Her, Linda Cohn and Robin Roberts were one of the few women in the field when ESPN was taking over the sports world. I’m sure Pat McAfee and his $85 million dollar contract has something to do with this. Maybe now the guy can buy a ******* tee shirt..

Van Gundy surprises me the most. I thought he was really good, and that is hard to replace. I had read about Kolber and Young a week or two ago, so was not a surprise at this point, even if her firing is a questionable move.

Kolber is the only one I can recall ever listening to b/c he hosted the night games. She was paid a lot.

ESPN is bottoming out. They had a great run, until Disney strangled them. As someone who used to never have his TV change from ESPN to watch games and Sportscenter, I'm now someone who hasn't watched it in years (outside of an occasional NFL or MLB game ion it). Its just awful. Reminds me of MTVs spectacular plunge.
Too many have bad mouthed the Mothership for years after leaving.

I liked the show Stump the Schwab. Howie Schwab is a sport stats / trivia genius.

I liked the show Stump the Schwab. Howie Schwab is a sport stats / trivia genius. I’ve actually always liked Chris Berman (well-dressed Armani Toomer). I’ve met Chris in real life and he’s a humble nice guy.

All these people are not replaceable just by putting a new face on TV. This company is bleeding money. They have been reducing personnel for a number of years now.
I personally hate ESPN haven't really watched it for years now except for periodically looking in on NFL Live. And I was a daily die hard fan everyday watching Mike and Mike. Always liked Suzy Kobler as Joe Namath said " Don't you just want to kiss her". She was one of their pioneers, came across on the screen as very likable.
Wouldn't mind one bit if the whole damn company collapsed.

Wouldn't mind one bit if the whole damn company collapsed. I used to be a big fan of Mike and Mike and wondered why they broke that team up. I thought that was a bad move. I was okay with the Keyshawn, JWill and Max thing because I thought they were entertaining but their whole schtick was top 10 lists. Keyshawn was always non-committal when he was there and J Will always seemed lost or would turn his opinion when he met resistance...not sure how he ended up staying. I think sliding Fitz and Harry into that spot would've worked...but no more Fitz. Suzy Kolber. I was just never a fan of hers and Stephen A Smith...not sure how he is still there either. I just wonder what they are planning because that is a lot of people and you don't make moves like this unless there is some big change coming. The House of Mouse used to turn everything to gold they touched but in the last decade a lot of what they touch has turned to shit (ie. Star Wars).

The network has been overwhelmed by debates and real journalism is becoming more and more scarce. 90% of the time, they're either arguing or providing another hot take to throw into the fire. Even Sportscenter has debates going on throughout their episodes. Idiocracy isn't a fictional movie. It is actually a real look at where this world is going.

I could never even figure out why on God's Green Earth he was hired in the first place. Max Kellerman is actually a really good boxing analyst. That is why he was hired in the first place. Never really saw his broadcasts or analysts in boxing so I'll take your word for it but, In that case ESPN shoulda made him stick with boxing specific, because at everything else he was horrendous.

Steve Young and Keyshawn Johnson were terrible Keyshawn was always noncommittal with his input and always seemed to ride the fence on opinions. Also, for a while here he was part of a Monday call in show on our 94.1 ESPN. A majority of the time he never called in and they finally canked it. I know we're not the biggest market but that seemed like a commitment issue as well.

I watch shows and most times am not even paying attention to the network its on.
Most are ok, some are unwatchable or in the case of radio "unlistenable". Then there are they few that are really good.
There will always be shows to watch and listen to. Then there are the all the podcasts etc. Never a shortage for sports talk. Good and bad.

I’m showing my age and I’ve just become one of those people that hate change but I miss when ESPN was just a loop of sports highlights from like 7am until 12pm. You had great original content then like one on with Roy Firestone or nfl films.
