was a good game. I'm wondering why a penalty wasn't called on them in overtime for the elbow (and perhaps boarding) on Gustaffson? Lord knows if we did that to one of their players it would have been called with no hesitation... Glad we pulled out the win to make it a moot point though.

Right? I’ve never been more wrong about a player. When I watched him this year in preseason and looked back at last year’s numbers, I thought he was done. He’s been unbelievable. Honestly, I have more faith in him than in Shesterkin this year. He's been more consistent. Granted, Shesterkin has had a good few months now so I hope it continues but I’d have no problem with Lavy pulling him in a playoff series if he struggles.early. I wouldn’t go down more than 2-0 if he’s not getting it done.

Have to guess Both teams were missing players on defense while Cuylle was out along with Barkov so, fun game yet both teams might be more loaded come playoff time.

Oh man there are quite a few things I could say about how we played tonight but I'm not going to...
I'm happy we won, and I'll leave it at that.
On to Denver.

Down 4 regulars you’re going to see things on the ice you don’t love. My word for tonight is resilient. Now add to that we got 2 points, Canes lost in regulation and we have a game in hand. I’m satisfied, maybe not with the 3 separate 1 goal leads we lost or how we played for the first 34 minutes of the game. But with the outcome and the gumption.

Enjoy the ride b/c so often the playoffs make us forget.
B.T.W. - Habs beat the Avs and Pens beat the Canes so not everybody was on tonight.

It was my mom's birthday, so we went out to dinner and I missed this one, but am happy with the outcome. Beating Philthy is always good, and the Canes lost...

Wow, sounded like a Rangers home game at the end Yea it really did and that's not a rarity in opponents' arenas. One reason why we're the most hated franchise and the powers that be at the NHL are okay tipping the scales against us. Was a good game tonight. Very playoff like. I was about to lose my mind if they overturned that second goal as a hand pass. Sadly, it wouldn't have surprised me if they had. Another comeback win against a top team. We're looking pretty good with the season winding down.

that was a really good win against a very good opponent. Igor was very sharp, and that save Fox made was game saving...Hope he's ok, that puck to the face looked nasty.

Rangers are getting my hopes up, I’m not going to lie. If we get that Igor in the playoffs we will be tough.

The goal was to get 2 points in Arizona and we did that.
Wasn't the best game defensively but 8 goals for us was fun. Lafreniere getting his first hat trick was nice.
Also, Zach Jones has been playing really well. I have more confidence in him than I do with Schneider or Miller most of the time.

We came out flying tonight. That 2nd was putrid. Lazy defense. We played so well for weeks. I don’t like what I’ve seen for 4 of the last 5 periods. They better find it in the 3rd. Also the fight trade off was a shit deal for us.

I remember we did the same thing against the Devils maybe like 10 Years ago. Best part tonight was Rangers got the last laugh. Devils 0 for the season series against the Rangers for points.

f'd up beginning to the game. Middle was putrid, but we smoked them in the 3rd. I'm not a big fan of planned fights to start the game, to me there's no place for that in sports.

I love that hockey has street justice. This type of event happens about 2 times per season league wide. I love it. Maybe players in other sports wouldn’t be such bitches if they actually stood the chance of getting punched in the mouth. Hockey has really become my favorite sport as I get older. It’s the perfect blend of speed, skill, violence and unwritten rules and inner policing. Baseball used to be great on that last part, but now it’s soft as baby shit. Look at the Rhys Hoskins incident last week. Problem one, McNeill crying about a hard slide. Problem 2 Hoskins getting 200 feet away and then talking. Problem 3 instead of an immediate fastball aimed at his ear the next game he shits on them for 3 AB’s and then they throw a Fastball 6 feet behind him. Weak.

It was responsive to Rempy’s actions in the previous games. And Laviolette was upset because he put the 4th line and a strong defensive pairing to start. He had no intent of a 5-5. It was understood Rempe would fight. That’s why he was screaming at the other coach. That 4 player washout was a much worse deal for the Rangers.
