Fields has never to a winner to the extent of DJ when he elevated the team to a playoff win vs a 13 win team in a outstanding performance. Fields has 10 wins in his career, DJ had 10 in a season ...just give DJ a little support and he'll bloom like a flower.

I would love it if it works out like you say. If I had to guess I would think more like this. 1) - Bears - Take QB Williams - They believe all the hype that this kid is the 2nd coming of Mahomes 2) - Wash. - Take QB Maye - They need a QB desperately (no trade) to go with their new coach 3) - N.E. - Take QB Daniels - Ditto above 4) - Ariz.- Take WR Harrison jr - Murray needs a WR desperately to make that offense Buzz 5) - LAC - Take WR Odunze - Herbert also needs a young phenom WR, Keenan Allen is 33-34. 6) - NYG - Take WR Nabors - The kid from LSU it could be Odunze if LAC goes Nabors. There is a chance Atlanta trades up to #6 from #8 to jump Tenn. at #7for a QB.. We could go QB Nix at #6 if we really like the kid. Because #7 and #8 need a QB desperately. So many options. If we don't go QB WR or OT are the best guess. I'd be willing to trade back if we get lucky and somebody wants to trade down. They could jump us and go for #4 or #5 pick if they're afraid we go for the 4th QB. So many options and we sit at the cross roads. Ixnay on the WRay..At that spot thats almost as bad as drafting a RB if you know what I mean. We have pass catchers we just need 1) A guy who can get the ball to him and 2) A OL that can protect the guy that gets the ball to him And oh... 3) A n Edge rusher that can get to the QB so that he can force a throw and get their offense off the field. We had like what.. 8 sacks for the whole season, very little pressure and that allowed the opposing teams receivers to run all over the place - given enough time.. I thought that Wink was the wizard of defense (btw/aside we should rename our department secretaries wizards that would give thier title a bit of a zip so instead of secretary of defense you have the wizard of defense..) so maybe a new DC (a wizard of D) that can actually stop the opposing O HaHa "The Wizard". I love it. lol.... Oh I'm with you to go after a QB but the first 3 teams are not giving up their position to get a franchise QB. The 3 WR's are considered in the 7-8 best players in the draft There might not be a defensive player taken in the top 10 picks this year. There are 3 QB's eagerly sought after, 3 WR's, 3 OT's, and 1 TE. Now there is an edge rusher in the next group. Do we grade them and just draft whoever is best regardless of position ? But we have 2 2nd rd picks also. If were not going QB with the 1st rd pick there are choices to make.

I'll take half of that for my 2 cent opinion.

The other 2 dummies are probably going WRs so that leaves about 2- 3 QBs for us to choose (Oh almost forgot... Nos 4 and 5 are probably picking Williams and sugar free diet Eli so that still leaves us with 2 or so decent QBs to chose from) The Bears could trade down and another team might grab a QB but that still leaves us with a choice or two if we decide to go QB, maybe more if a OT is taken

Caleb Williams father wants Kingsberry to be his sons OC in the pro's. The father is running his son's campaign in this draft. Much like Archie ran Eli's. The Bears fired their OC and have interviewed Kingsberry. Their going Williams. The Bears also have the 9th pick in the draft. They will get a 2nd or 3rd rd pick for Fields Wash. and N.E. are definitely going QB with the 2nd and 3rd picks. If we don't take the 4th QB probably Nix most likely Tenn. or Atl. take him with the 7th or 8th pick. imho

Picking him at 6 would make the DJ pick look brilliant. There is no way he should be top 15 on any teams draft boards. If Williams, Maye, Daniels go 1-2-3 (which I'm suspecting) there will be a blue chip type position player right there for our taking. We'd be much better off going that route, and taking a flyer later in the draft on one of the other QB prospects.

Guess I got here too late for the Williams to the Bears talk. I really hope Williams goes to the Commanders. Maybe someone else will trade up with the Bears and 3 QBs go before us.
No matter what us fans want, if Schoen is sticking with Jones then the more QBs that go before us the better. I don't really have a feeling one way or another for what I think Schoen will do. Free agency will give us a clue. Either option has risks and what the Mara's want will play a big role in the decision.

Nobody is trading out of the first 3 spots and giving up one of the QB's. Fields could be traded to either team right after us Tenn. and Atlanta at 7 & 8 for a 2nd or 3rd. Were not interested in that. The next highest graded guys in the draft are the 3 WR's and then 2-3 OT's and that big TE. The first 10 picks could all be offense.

Nix is a far better prospect than DJ was coming out of college. Arm talent, pocket presence, mobility, experience, production…..beyond maybe straight line speed Nix checks all the boxes.
