OK the cat is out of the bag. The Bears just let it known they're going Caleb Williams USC QB. Here's how they gave it away and they must not care.
Today the Bears interviewed Kliff Kingsbury for their OC job. As of now he's the USC Special Assistant and OC. Well Caleb Williams and his father are saying they want their man Kingbury to come with them into the pros. Reminds me when Archie ran Eli's campaign in his draft year. The Bears fired their OC last week. The Raiders are also vying for Kingsbury to be their OC.
If it's a bidding war the Bears definitely outbid L.V so they can draft Caleb and he gets everything he wants in place. They keep their HC Eberflus at least for a year depending on what happens because they have Kingsbury in place and their franchise QB in place.
Guys last week I was saying the Bears were keeping Fields because they fired their OC and 4 other offensive coaches and Eberflus was a Fields guy. Now it all makes sense.
It looks like the first 3 picks in the draft are all QB's.

If the Bears get a legit QB and this works out a lot of people are going to be very confused.

If they get that bum Williams I will be laughing my ass off soooo damn hard and will have first hand access to hearing about all their games because I won't be watching them all but will keep up with the highlights sometimes.

I get the potential concerns with his attitude but his play on the field is awesome. Nothing about it screams bust or bum to me.

If you feel it's the same then why did you ask the question? You answered it's not the same , why? There are pretty obvious reasons why it's not the same starting with Rosen only being on the team for 1 year when they moved on. You do know the Bears haven't hired anyone to be their offensive coordinator right?

The Bears will draft Williams and trade Fields maybe. That would be ballsy move to get more draft capital.

The Bears could mess up a wet dream.. They haven’t hit on the quarterback position since WWII.. And who the **** is he to give demands? Last time we saw him he was reduced to tears.

Depending on asking price I could see Daboll having some interest in Fields. I do think NYG could be scheming a trade back into 1st round for McCarthy(not at 6). NYG could be still holding out hope for DJ, or they could be doing the same thing--drafting a QB and hoping Jones plays well enough early in '24 to get something in return in a trade.

It's not hope, it's fact. DJ is the QB of the NY Giants next season.

McCarthy needs some grooming still, which allows them to start DJ at the beginnning of the season (assuming he's healed up, which is still an unknown). If they are specifically targetting McCarthy, they will have to be careful how far back they move, or could lose him. Hopefully they set up their draft boards properly, and are not surprised by anything. I've heard they are no longer using a magnetic board for this...

Maybe it's a smoke screen to get the Redskins to jump up and throw a boat load of picks their way.
Maybe not.

No surprise. Why would they not. They get to reset and get a very good rookie QB prospect. Aleast 4 years of rookie contract. That's how teams win, they have a good window before paying their QB big money. Or they could be the Giants and give a bum QB 40m a year

The Bears should move off fields while they have the chance. It resets the rookie pay scale for 4 years, Fields inability to process and go through reads literally makes DJ look like Montana, and he's a run first QB who's always hurt.
Take a 2nd round pick from the Falcons and get better overnight. Fields will never be a good passing QB in the NFL. Nobody knows what Williams will be in the NFL, but the writing is on the wall for Fields, or this wouldn't be a consideration.

His mannerisms to me even look like he think he's entitled or something. I did not like anything I saw from him in any of those games.................. heck no lol, I'm good...........

To prevent us from getting him. They trade half the farm to jump ahead of us...He and Wilson duke it out for backup 5) OT - this is interesting not sure who goes here could be QB2 6) QB - We still have choice between Daniels, Nix, or maybe a stud OT or EDGE

If I had to guess I would think more like this. 1) - Bears - Take QB Williams - They believe all the hype that this kid is the 2nd coming of Mahomes 2) - Wash. - Take QB Maye - They need a QB desperately (no trade) to go with their new coach 3) - N.E. - Take QB Daniels - Ditto above 4) - Ariz.- Take WR Harrison jr - Murray needs a WR desperately to make that offense Buzz 5) - LAC - Take WR Odunze - Herbert also needs a young phenom WR, Keenan Allen is 33-34. 6) - NYG - Take WR Nabors - The kid from LSU it could be Odunze if LAC goes Nabors. There is a chance Atlanta trades up to #6 from #8 to jump Tenn. at #7for a QB.. We could go QB Nix at #6 if we really like the kid. Because #7 and #8 need a QB desperately. So many options. If we don't go QB WR or OT are the best guess. I'd be willing to trade back if we get lucky and somebody wants to trade down. They could jump us and go for #4 or #5 pick if they're afraid we go for the 4th QB. So many options and we sit at the cross roads.

Ixnay on the WRay..At that spot thats almost as bad as drafting a RB if you know what I mean. We have pass catchers we just need 1) A guy who can get the ball to him and 2) A OL that can protect the guy that gets the ball to him And oh... 3) A n Edge rusher that can get to the QB so that he can force a throw and get their offense off the field. We had like what.. 8 sacks for the whole season, very little pressure and that allowed the opposing teams receivers to run all over the place - given enough time.. I thought that Wink was the wizard of defense (btw/aside we should rename our department secretaries wizards that would give thier title a bit of a zip so instead of secretary of defense you have the wizard of defense..) so maybe a new DC (a wizard of D) that can actually stop the opposing O

I can't disagree more with this. I think Fields is a far better player than DJ. The only similarity is their tendency to get hurt.
