I truly don’t understand why he isn’t being talked about more. I’ve really liked what I’ve seen from Nix. I go back and forth with him and McCarthy as my QB3, but a lot of that is due to McCarthy’s age. On the field, Nix looks to be very well rounded. Not to mention his stats are absolutely bonkers.

I think he will make a decent pro. Hella better than what we got. I like the fact that he can move around the pocket and looks for the open man and pulls the trigger. For me either Daniels, Nix, JJ would be good picks

Just 6 years ago a guy like Daniells falls to the bottom of the first and might have fell to the top of the second but Baltimore being smart traded up so they would have the 5th year option. Now guys with traits and can really run Richardsons last year more than likely Daniels this year get picked top 5.

I dunno, I WANT to like him more than I actually do. He seems very inconsistent, 1 play its a beaut of a pass, the next he throws to the wrong shoulder, doesn't lead his WR, or throws it short. He keeps that up in the pros and he's gonna throw ALOT of picks.
1 of the biggest knocks on the dude is his slow progression and surveying of the field, shuch were mitigated at Oregon.
We get an excellent QB coach and we might be able to make a hell of a QB put of him, otherwise he's gonna be a quality backup.
He's got good qualities, but I dunnoooo

Well, he hasn’t asked for part ownership in the team that drafts him so there’s that. 🤷♂️

How he doing in senior Bowl practices? He be doing ok. I wouldn’t take much stock in any position outside of the trenches and, maybe WR/CB from these practices.

Trying to like him and . . . I yet just don’t trust him. He was so frustrating to watch at Auburn for me. He’s already going to be 24 yrs old in Feb.

Penix and Daniels are right around the same age as well. Yeah, but what i mean by that is Daniels looks great often at 23 (turns 24 next Dec), Penix looks great and had so many injuries. Nix is 24 this month and, idk. He looks better than at Auburn. Great stats yet I’m skeptical. Daniels has played a lot of fball. Nix, almost a full yr older has played like 60 games. Penix about half. Kinda wonder if the Pac-10 5th yr Senior is why his stats are so good. They certainly have more experience than many

Nothing against the Pac-10, but it's not known for the top flight defenses either, something to be considered.

No thanks - dude is a product of the system - doesn’t handle pressure well, makes poor decisions that you scratch your head over. He forces the ball. And he was a total disaster at Auburn for two years. His dad Patrick Nix was great at Auburn - his son couldn’t get out of his own way. Maybe I’m being a bit hard on him but I watched every game he played for Auburn and he was a complete disappointment. I wouldn’t take a chance on this dude.
He’s a great athlete not necessarily a great quarterback. He has a lot of intriguing tools but he doesn’t have it together between his ears.

JJ over Bo 7 days a week and twice on Game Day. I would love to grab Nix and be wrong about him but he played against weak/pathetic defenses in the Pac 12 except for Utah. He stunk at Auburn under a great coach. JJ McCarthy will probably be the most successful quarterback coming out of this draft. But it will take some time. He played in a run dominant offense that never really got to show up to the table. JJ beat Ohio State twice - Alabama and Penn State defenses this past season. Nix beat who in comparison? Nobody….
