And yet he wasn’t smart enough to check the size of his suit his mom picked out for him. For all we know that unnamed source could be him.. He had no business being a head coach. Especially, in a town that never sleeps. Since then he has jumped around from a lowly consultant.. to an offensive coordinator of one of the worst offenses in the league. He’s a heartbeat away from scraping road kill off the highway.

Sometimes if you just stay in your lane you’ll succeed.

The offense besides Beckham and Shepard were brutal, you know the one he ran into the ground. The defense had three all-pros on it. He was so pathetic that he forced ownership to do something they never did in franchise history. Fire a head coach midseason.. This wasn’t a witch-hunt or looking for a scapegoat. The locker room was fractured under his watch. Instead of addressing the problem.. he put gel in his hair and checked the tape.

So outraged it’s not even on the radar that OBJ and Shep weren’t even in most games. Rather than throw the players under the bus he told the media he had to check the tape. The media rebelled and the horse shiat fans followed. They had no OL, no receivers, Darkwa was the #1 HB, Eli was lost and the defense rebelled. And how well did the team perform the next season and after? Oh right, the coaches again and every season but one including now.

Because only a moron would defend him. This is another bleeding heart Joe Judge cry for help. So let’s forget the 2016 season.. That won’t fit the narrative you are exhaustingly trying to make. We’re now talking about his sophomore season where everything went to shit. You must have forgotten since google can’t help you here. It wasn’t Darkwa who McAdoo wanted as his lead horse right out of the gate. It was Paul Perkins. Ben gave him the job before camp started. A questionable move by an even more questionable coach. Since everyone’s meal ticket, Beckham got shelved for the season early. The offense couldn’t recover as the defense got multiple hernias from carrying the whole team on its back the year before.

The media leads your type around by the nose and your tiresome narrative the awful roster wins despite the coach yet loses because of him has been in play since Coughlin. It’s easier for you to focus on a suit size then a roster.

Unfortunately for you.. pointless points won’t keep you from a watery grave. Follow my lead.. Beckham was healthy for the most part in 2016. From his one man army effort against the Ravens. To balling in a losing effort to the Eagles. He was dominant and was the integral part of our offense that season. Shepard, who was a rook played well and showed signs that he was going to be a keeper. Eli still had it in him.. as the line was disastrous. Still with me? The roster you so lazily said had nothing was rocking the 2nd ranked defense in the sport. Harrison, Jenkins, and Collins all got all pro nods. And Vernon got a pro bowl invite. The defense was stout.. as it was the driving force to the 11-5 record. Fast forward to next season. When McAdoo ditched the opie haircut.. for the 1950s greaser look. Midlife crisis in his thirties.. who would have known. Jerry Reese kept the band on defense together for one more show. And most if not all of the fanbase.. Backed the club. Beckham got hurt as the offense was sputtering. As the defense raged war against a nonexistent offense. The seams that were barely sewed on busted and the coach paid for it with his job. Blaming a roster for a team imploding is not only weak.. it’s a loser mentality.

Your take is now off the suit size and now playing a a mid-life crisis card at age 40. Really? I must be lost in my own mind since I can’t follow that marble rolling around in yours. Good lord. Never mind the playoff appearance derailed in half one by a bunch of receivers who went on a boat trip. Let’s follow the media lead by blaming the coach when the receivers who played well a season earlier were gone and zero reinforcements were added to OL. good news though, Gettleman followed your lead along with the media. It was all the coach’s fault and Eli still had it. Nice work

The Athletic did a great, deep dive report on the state of the Giants org before Dabs and Schoen were hired. It talked extensively about the McAdoo/Mahomes thing.
The conclusion? He absolutely, did not in any way, pound the table for the guy. Did not, with conviction say, ya gotta trade up for him. He liked him, and was quoted as "I wanna get my f**kin hands on him.
This has turned into him being a great evaluator that is going to save the Pats from QB purgatory? It's the same guy that hasn't run a successful offense without Tom Coughlin having a heavy influence in the design.
His 2016 and 2017 Giants offenses were unimaginative, garbage.
The retroactive Ben McAdoo stuff always entertains.

I heard McAdoo never went to any pro days for players during the draft process but made the exception for Mahomes. He went all the way to the middle of nowhere, Lubbock Texas and met with Mahomes prior to the event...no idea what happened behind closed doors though.
I thought the Coughlin offense under McAdoo looked completely different than the Coughlin offense under Gilbride. 2014 was a nice bounce back year for Eli when McAdoo took over for Gilbride.
Carolina offense regressed without McAdoo...went from the 20th ranked scoring offense with McAdoo at OC last year to dead last this year after Carolina went out of their way to get their guy at QB.
But locker room imploded with McAdoo... I get he is hated by a lot of people but if you ask me I think he's done some good to go along with the bad.

But the fans would have been robbed of the pleasure of watching the Mahomes who was carefully developed and installed into a veteran playoff team after a year of learning and watching. The Giants had no OL no RB or TE and 1 WR OBJ the genius MacAdoo scrapped what TC did max protect and always an extra man at least plus the back to help make up for the OL knowing protection was paramount TC always made sure the QB is protected. Mahomes was as raw as Josh Allen coming out playing behind a leaky OL and forcing him to run for his life could have more than likely would have ruined him his development would be difficult under those circumstances.
